Jesse Monroe was a playboy and a pervert. That much was an established fact around the Academy, one which seemed to have been etched in the very foundations of the Academy itself. It wasn't like he was some kind of monster who enjoyed loving, leaving and breaking hearts or anything. Flirting and wooing people, felt as natural to him as taking breathing the air, walking on the land and swimming in any form of water. None of these thoughts were anything new, hell he had thoughts them so many times he was sure they had worn ruts in his brain. What was new, was the strange pangs of guilt that stung the back of his mind as he guided Jacen Grey back to the Oceanus Residence.
He could almost feel Jacen's tension and confusion of warring thoughts as he followed, and Jesse knew he was at least partially responsible for it. It wasn't like he had even openly suggested anything, not that he hadn't thought of a number of rather hot suggestions to make...
He almost had to physically shake himself out of his thoughts as he realized he had been guiding Jacen through some of the back alleys and "secret" routes he had discovered over his years at the Academy, the poor boy was probably completely lost. Not to mention that Jesse had been so engrossed in his own thoughts that rather than being his normal chatter box self, he had been as silent as the grave. For once he wasn't sure what to say, thankfully, Jacen seemed to have come to the same conclusion that the silence between them was getting to be too much.
"Oh you mean other demititans? There's never been too many of us here. Our parents aren't bound by the same rules the Olympians are. Nothing says they have to claim their children. Between you and me, our relations aren't exactly the picture of parental love. But then again most of them have spent so much time in Tartarus, that they have no clue how to deal with mortals, or us demis. You, me and Cami are lucky. Our parents, at least as far as I can remember, didn't take sides in the First War and were allowed to live as they pleased. Although, the Second War...I'm still not sure why my dad joined Kronos. I'm sure he had his reasons. I didn't know it until I came here, but I was born during the Second War, that's how I was ended up being the first of our kind to come here, most of the Titans were locked up and didn't have access to mortal until the War...but listen to me giving a history lesson instead of answering your question.
"Last I had heard the demititans registered here were You, Me, Cami, that Rhea chick, a Hyperion guy, and a couple of Mnemosyne kids. There have been others, but not everyone can handle this life, a few of them just went mad, took off and haven't been heard of since." Jesse's features clouded over slightly at the memory of those lost friends, family and lovers, there weren't all that many of them, but enough to feel the sting of their loss. He almost had to shake himself again to bust out of his own mind. "Damn that Leeland and Keller, I am not partying with them like that again for a good long time. That 'good stuff' they have always f*cks up my head,"
"Anyway, this is it, home sweet home," Jesse gestured to the small villa looking building made from the same Coral of the Great Barrier Reef, as Oceanus' Palace. Above the door was a mosaic of his father in full godly form, looking strong and imposing. The mosaic had the strange ability to emulate the water around Oceanus, and even seemed to shift and change color reflecting whatever mood the Titan was in. Today must be a good day for him, he looked almost smug with pleasure.
"Trippy isn't it. Word to the wise, don't get f*cked up on something then come sit here and stare at it. The last time I did I could have swore he was going to jump right off the wall and kick my ass. Heh that night was something else, actually I think it was closer to like three nights or something, I was so freaked that I couldn't go to sleep, and couldn't bring myself to go into the house, cos I was terrified my dad would be waiting inside ready to eat me...on the upside Erika and I had some of the kinkiest and most wild...on second thought you probably didn't want to know that...so yeah, come on in, my home is your home,"
Jesse opened the door kinda sheepishly, it had been a while since he had run off his mouth about he recreational drug use and sexual encounters, most people took that all as a given when it came to Jesse. The inside of the House resembled like a Surfer's Shack, with Surf Boards hanging from straps and nets in the main room, a few well worn and comfortable looking beach loungers scatter around the room, with a small fresh water spring bubbling where a fireplace could have gone.
"Welcome to my humble abode," Jesse said with a winning smile. "The restroom is over there to the left, my room's over there on the right, over here's a small kitchenette thing for snacks and stuff, and check this out." Jesse walked over to a couple of small porthole looking windows on the far side of the room.
"If you look out this window here, you get an awesome view of the Great Barrier Reef, all real time. And if you look out this window, you get a killer view of the Mississippi River, not far from where my mum's parents used to live. I used to play right over there," Jesse pointed out in the window, touching it fondly.
"Anyway, we didn't come here to stare out the windows. We came to get you hooked up," He looked Jacen over with a different set of eyes as he mentally calculated what he would need in order to be safe and still have a good time.
"Hmm, I think I have just the thing, back here," He lead Jacen to his room, ignoring the bed and hammock hanging over it, towards a metallic blue surf board propped up against the wall.
"I haven't used it in a while, so it might need a touch of wax before we go, but it's a good solid board, especially if it's been a while since you've been surfing." He picked up the board and nodded back toward the main room carrying the board to his work table where he set about tending to the board.
"So, what do you think? I've been kind of hogging the conversation so far, what's going on in that cute little head of yours," Jesse commented offering a charming and disarming smile.

Jacen blushed; he hadn't meant other demititans. He listened to Jesse then, who had been telling him about the mural on the wall, and never to get trippy in front of it. This spurred on a line of thought Jacen had been thinking the entire time, in the back of his mind; Jesse was older than him. Not just older age-wise, but older with girls, drugs, guys... he was more mature than Jacen could imagine himself being, even in a year from now. Jesse obviously wasn't a virgin, for one, but also, he wasn't as... innocent as Jacen. Jacen had only kissed a girl a few years ago, for one. He'd only made out with a girl (the same one) a few weeks later. Jesse, on the other hand, could teach Jacen everything he knew, which obviously was quite a lot... when he heard he'd done it with some girl named "erika", he was glad that Jesse was going both ways, rather than one. It seemed Jacen, too, was like that, although how he'd lived so long, and never realized until Jesse, confused and scared him. Were there any other secrets he'd been keeping from himself? Hmph. Another thing; if Jesse and him... had something, what would his reputation do? Jacen was always okay with embarrassing himself, but his biggest fear was being forgotten, without a legacy or rep to keep him in memory. Would girls still like him? They evidently like Jesse, the lawyer in him argued. Jesse is a playboy. His libido is bigger than his... err.. surfboards.Speaking of which, he took a look at the surfboard Jesse had offered him. It was smooth, blue, and shiny, which was always a plus... it would do him fine. Than, he registered that he was in Jesse's room, and looked around. It was like.. a museum or something; Jacen could imagine countless people had been here, in the past. He blushed when Jesse said "cute little head", but was embarrassed all the same; Jacen had never imagined himself as effeminate or cute! He took it off of the wall with a small struggle, trying to not let Jesse on to how physically weak he was. In a fight, his wiry strength was fine. Lifting heavy objects? Not so much. He managed to get it down, dropping it onto his foot to avoid damaging it on the floor, and waxed it up. As he bent down to get the bottom of the board, he was extremely aware of Jesse, standing to his upper left. Words: 428 Muse: MIA Notes: Sorry bout that... I simply cannot match your post above

Somewhere between saying hi to her brother and Jane, Cami found herself wandering and following her brother and the other titan, Jacen. She didn’t quite remember when she have stepped off the couch/chair she had been sprawled in but she remembered following Jesse and Jacen to the Oceanus dorms. She didn’t follow too closely, Cami figured that she may have been a little awkward with Jacen or maybe he as awkward with them and the other titans and she stayed silent, listening to them speak back and forth.
Upon entering the villa that served as the Oceanus dorms, she leaned against the door, kicking her shoes on the ground a little bit. Her eyes drifted lazily around because honestly, there was nothing in her half-brother’s room that she hadn’t seen before. There was a moment before it felt like there was a drop of water or something against the back of her neck and she leaned outside, holding onto the frame. Her eyes landed on the mosaic and she smiled, waving a little shyly at it.
Of her two titan-erm, parents, Oceanus was the one she didn’t know very well. They got along fine but as far as Cami remembered from the two times she went to the palace (once by nearly drowning and the other, a short visit over the summer a summer ago) she didn’t really remember seeing the titan god. She remembered meeting Jesse fleetingly and didn’t know him more until after they met at the academy but she didn’t really remember Oceanus. It didn’t matter though, Cami was pleased and happy that she was accepted by both sides of the titan marriage; her mother, a given and Oceanus was pretty cool about her.
Cami giggled lightly when the mosaic seemed to smile at her, maybe even winking before she leaned back into the room where Jesse was giving Jacen a verbal tour of the room. There was a moment where she just observed the two and she grinned when she realized that Jacen was maybe a little more than flustered with Jesse.
Other people’s sexual orientations didn’t bother her and who or what they did on their own time was their issue, not hers and she figured that Jacen was probably a little new with dealing with people like Jesse. He was a little bit left of center but he was cool, a good person to count on. That and she had a in-the-closet-homosexual friend of a siren (well, they weren’t completely friends but they knew each other well enough to drop honorifics when talking). Cami had been wanting to have her brother turn her in-the-closet-homosexual friend into an out-of-the-closet-homosexual. Of course, if Jacen and Jesse had a thing, maybe Jesse had other friends that could turn Lukas into an out-of-the-closet-homosexual.
While she was in her thoughts, she vaguely noted that Jesse had given Jacen a surf board, mentioned Jacen’s “cute little head” (which was cute for a slightly awkward person) and he probably obviously watching Jacen wax the board and Jacen looked almost kinda nervous.
“I personally don’t surf but I suppose I can watch you wipe out if you do and if you need saving, I’ll be there,” Cami offered, feeling as if her silence was a little bit awkward. She scuffed her shoes along the floor again.

Jacen jumped up and twirled around to face Cami; he'd not seen her come in, or heard her, either. That's what you get for being too ocused on Jesse, he thought.
Jacen had been in places where, if a superior walked in a room, and you weren't standing at attention, you could be tortured, or worse. A year's habit overtook a lifetime's, and when he was startled, he usually always stood up. This time, though, he nearly rammed his head into Jesse's thigh as he rose.
Muttering a quick apology, he turned back, and said, "Somehow, I'm not worried... I've done swim team since I was four..."
He didn't want to show off, especially where the mosaic near the entrance could probably hear him, but Cami knew the extent of Jesse's abilities, but not his. If both Jesse and her acepted that he was just as strong as them, in his own way, they might stop thinking him weak, effeminate, and such.
That was not to say that Jacen resented the, rather; he enjoyed this. He hadn't had friends in ages, and he needed some. Most were put off by his constant reading habits, and his sarcastic, wry comments.... thinking back, Jacen realized that he hadn't yet made such a remark, yet.
He finished waxing the board. Usually, he had incredibly low body memory, but he somehow remembered surfing. He couldn't remember how to mountain climb, or how to disarm someone with a shoto, or short sword, but he'd relearn those, trivial skills sometime else.
Since Cami probably had her own gear somewhere nearby, they were ready to go. He realized that he'd never answered Jesse's question.
"A lot's going on in here; I think about many things, in random order... its a bit chaotic. My mind is never, ever empty..."
Words: 322 Notes: That last bit's a downright invitation.... also, I've never surfed before, so Jacen's experience is limited by mine....

Jesse couldn't help but smile a bit to himself as he finished check out the board to make sure it was ready to go. As far as Jesse could tell, Jacen was pretty excited, but feeling his pride bruised a bit, which certainly was a cute look for him in Jesse's mind.
"Board's ready to go, I just need to change real quick, while I have no problem running around in just my boxers, Pontos on the other hand, isn't quite a open minded. Let me run back to my room and get changed real quick, of course you could join me if you'd like," Jesse suggested with a devilish smile, rewarded by Jacen turning bright red. "Mmm, he's going to be fun," Jesse thought as he retreated back to his room, shooting Cami a "Play nice," look.
He stripped down tossing his boxers into a hamper of dirty clothes, quickly grabbing a pair of comfortable board shorts, that he considered to be his "lucky" shorts. He slipped them of and tied them off just below his trim waist, taking a quick look in the mirror. They were just loose enough not to get in the way when they hit the water, but they certainly showed off quite a bit, which was usually why they were his "lucky" shorts.
He strolled back out to the main room looking cool and confident, picking up Jacen's board with practiced ease.
"Nothing against you sexy, but I remember the first time I carried this board out to the beach...if you think dropping it on your foot hurts, catching the flat of the board full in the face, now that really hurts. I had two black eyes and a swollen nose for two weeks. That smart ass Poseidon boy DJ thought it was funny as hell, that is until I gave him a matching pair of black eyes. Of course the making up after that had been...hehe, guess you could almost say it was epic," when you were Mr. Promiscuous and bed almost anyone, you were bound to have a story for almost any occasion. "Shall we?" He threw friendly arm around Jacen's shoulders giving Cami a wink. Technically, there was nothing stopping Jesse from pursuing Cami as well, they weren't even really siblings in any form, but then again she had always been more of a sister to him than any of his divine siblings, and he was pretty sure she was quite content with their relationship right where it was.
"Right so here's what I usually do, I check out the water to see if there are any good waves already rolling and try to ride those before I stir up anything. Like I said before, Pontos can be real touchy about his realm, but I think we'll be alright."
When they reached the beach Jesse passed the board back to Jacen. "Here, let's get you set up, I'm going to attach this cord to your ankle, it's a safety line. It can be a little awkward, but believe me it's some thing you'll appreciate if a breaker catches you off guard. This little baby has been real handy for me more times than I can count. Ok, now take off toward that sand bar and it the water at a bit of a run, then lay on the board and paddle out the rest of the way, I'll be right behind you." Jesse gave Jacen one of his million dollar smiles then tapped one side of his seashell bracelet and it transformed into the near perfect surfboard his father had gifted to him on his 13th birthday.
As soon as he had hold of the board his mind shifted gears from his usual perverted thoughts into "business mode" as surfing was his business. He took off running into the waves, a safe distance right behind Jacen, arriving at the sand bar just moments after him.
"You ready rock and roll?"
Word Count: 686 Muse: Sleepy, but not too bad Notes: Sorry that took so long. I don't know much about surfing either, just a few movies I've seen. So, we'll just have to make things up as we go.

As soon as Jesse tapped his bracelet, things seemed to change. The ambience of the meeting, as weird as that sounded, became almost... almost businesslike.
Jacen wished he had time to admire the bracelet; what other things could it do or become, for instance? Sadly, Jesse was urging him into the waves, so he made a mental note to ask him later.
It was too bad Jacen's mental notebook was often forgotten, and being in the presence of someone like Jesse didn't help him remember anything. Heck, it only got the blood flowing. To... his face. Ugh, he was already thinking a perverted thought!
Jesse was sure rubbing off on him.
Jacen paddled, and created a small surge to help him along, just because he was lazy. Pontos, he hoped, wouldn't mind, seeing as Jacen was his grandson.
Whatever Jesse thought, water ran through Jacen's veins, too; Oceanus was god of the ocean, but Eurybia was the god of the power over it.
He wasn't sure what the difference was, exactly, but he assumed it was important.
He'd grown so used to swimming and diving, and being free of the undulating surface of the ocean, that it was almost a novel experience. Almost.
The water was calm, calm enough for him not to get thrown off by a wave or dip. After they made it too the sand bar, he turned around to wait for Jesse. As Jesse got up, Jacen caught a glance at his shorts.
Holy cow his shorts are so low how does anyone allow that! It should beillegal; people can't be expected to think around him in those!
The breeze was chilling, until Jacen mentally asked it to stop, in the most polite voice he could muster after Jesse's shorts.
The aura responded by warming it up, a bit. Good; if it hadn't replied, Jacen would have done it himself. Thankfully, he could contact Aurae if they were near; most could not.
He waited for Jesse's opinion on the waves; they weren't near as good as those in Tenerife, when he'd visited, or Costa Rica, but they were world-reknowned surfing spots.

As he followed Jacen out to the sandbar, Jesse couldn't help but let his thoughts shift back into perverted mode, it wasn't often he took people out surfing with him, most of the time they just sat on the beach and pretended to watch, not that he minded it that much. This was different, Jacen was different. Jesse could feel the subtle changes in the current, and slight warming of the air around them, Jacen's doing no doubt. "Damn, he's got more potential than I think even he knows," Jesse mused as he noted Jacen's blush again, his own face just barely containing a knowing smile, mentally shrugging it off thinking, "Not a bad first date," Jesse paddled up Jacen, close enough to brush shoulder as he watched the gentle rolling waves come in with the tide. "Not too bad, probably wont get a lot of hang time on them, but I can fix that," He shot a quick look around, not that Pontos would just be floating around out in the open, but it never hurt to be on the safe side. Jesse held his hand out just under the surface of the water, closing his eyes concentrating. Normally, he wouldn't have bothered to be too careful, but it wasn't just him this time around. Jesse could feel the gentle tug in his hand that went right down to his core, and slowly the waves started to come in a little faster and a little bigger. The water got a little choppy, but nothing more than a small spring storm would cause, so he doubted Pontos would notice. With a content smile he looked over a Jacen, his blue-green eyes taking on a twinkle few ever got to see. "I think we're set, I'll take off first, you follow in my wake about two beats behind and we'll see just how far out we can ride these bad boys. Just remember to try and keep your center of gravity fairly low and don't fight the waves, just roll with them, and let yourself go," With a wink he paddled out a bit further, catching the weak end of the waves maneuvering his board across the crests slowly building momentum. This was his heaven, it was some kind of heady high to have the full power of the oceans just resting at his feet. He could, at any moment, if he so desired, call up tsunami sized waves and ride them clear to the equator. Not that he would. But the feeling of having the possibility of that kind of power was the ultimate euphoric high. He did a well practiced push up, getting his feet under him, feeling perfectly at balance riding the wave further and further along, so lost in his own bliss that he didn't realize that he was actually increasing the waves power and size more than he had originally planned. It wasn't until he crossed the magical boundaries of the Academy, and Pontos' realm that he realized what was happening. It caught him off guard, and threw off his balance sending him headlong under a wave about 6 feet before shooting back to the surface. He scrambled back on his board and worked to ease the waves back down. "Sorry about that," he shook the water out of his eyes, "Jacen?" he searched his wake for that cute brown head, not finding him right away. "sh*t" was the only thought that crossed his mind as he sent a silent prayer to his father and Pontos that he didn't get Jacen hurt by let his abilities get away from him. Word Count: 625 (raw) Muse: All over the place again Notes: Thought I'd throw a small curve ball in there, hope you don't mind, and don't worry about your word count not being as high as mine. As soon as he left, the waves started going mad; they seemed to jump up. It wasn't unnerving, as I'd done the same thing myself in the past, but it was interesting to see another do it.
He took off two beats after Jesse, riding a wave just behind his. Getting up, he realized just how rusty he was, after the years, but after he got up, it returned to him.
He balanced on the board; water, strangely enough, was easier for him to balance upon than land was; on land, he was a klutz. It seemed he had eternal sea legs, actually.
Jacen began to ride the waves, augmented by Jesse's power. They rose to six feet high; not the highest he'd ever surfed, but a fair bit higher than what he should have started out with, after a year of no surfing or practice.
The wave he was on, getting the full brunt of Jesse's power, grew even higher. Watching a wave grow was the weirdest thing Jacen had ever seen; it simply enlarged, like a picture if dragged. It didn't grow unevenly, or organically, but in one go.
He tried to use the wind to bat the waves down; two, opposing forces of the sea going on at once could wreak more havoc, and havoc was not was Jacen wanted right now.
The waves shrunk a bit, but the wind was both shrinking them, and unbalancing and chilling Jacen. He stopped, and debated whether to ump off or not. When he saw Jesse go under, out of the corner of his eye, he dove with a perfectly practiced dive, straight into the wave.
He let out a sigh of relief, and joy that the ripcord had held. Then, catching a glimpse of Jesse's long, tanned legs, he swam over, and pulled one sharply, laughing.

Pontos sat reflecting upon events that were in motion, bitter about the position he would soon be in. He frown deeply as he felt outside forces at work within his realm. It was foreign, just familiar feeling pull, not completely unlike his own, yet still distinct and different. Intrigued by this, Pontos focused upon the disturbance recognizing his grandson Jacen on a surfboard, followed by that insufferable pain Jesse Monroe.
"What is that playboy up to? This better not be some kind of scheme to get into Jacen's pants," Pontos thought darkly planning all manner of unpleasant punishment for Jesse if he hurt Jacen. That fact that he was even mildly concerned about the boy was strange and unusual, he hadn't had an children or grandchildren to feel anything for in so many centuries, he was almost uncertain that he could feel concern for them any more.
His first meeting with Jacen, could have gone better. The boy had asked about his mother, and his father and Pontos had been unable to give him the answers he had sought, which was something he still regretted. Perhaps something could be done about it after all...
His musing were interrupted as he felt a more familiar agitation within his realm, that damn boy Jesse was at it again, stirring up the waters without any regard for whose waters they were. Typical. Especially for that demititan. As Pontos watched it was immediately evident that once again Jesse was lost in his own little world, pulling the waves higher and higher, nothing so high or strong the boy couldn't handle it; Pontos has seen that much since Jesse's arrival at the Academy, but it wasn't just Jesse out there on his own this time. Pontos smiled to himself as he felt Jacen trying to count Jesse's actions. "Such a good boy," he thought as he strengthened the magical boarders around his realm with a mischievous twinkle in his eye.
At the rate Jesse was going he'd hit the boarder dead on, and boy would he be in for a surprise when he did. Not wanting Jacen to be subject to the same surprise, he modified the boarders still further, allowing the boy to pass through no problem at all.
A proud smile creased his weathered features as he saw Jacen dive in after Jesse. "Loyal, and brave. I may not be able to do anything about his father, but that daughter of mine on the other hand..." Pontos closed his eyes conjuring up a gentle wave to engulf the two boys, and a second to bring that Tethys girl, Camille, with them. Perhaps the three of them together would be strong enough. Eurybia wasn't usually that welcoming to visitors, but maybe the fact that her son and two other demi-seatitans had been sent by her father, would soften her reception of them. Pontos would offer would little protection he could, but ultimately they were on their own.
"Take care of each other, and I'll bring you home safely," Pontos whispered into wind so that only they could hear him.

Panic, no matter how mild, was not something Jesse Monroe was all that familiar with. Normally, he was the one who got himself into sticky situations, so he was the one to find a way to wriggle back out of said sticky situations. This time, he had gotten someone else in trouble, well potentially in trouble, and had to figure out a way to get them back out of trouble. He was beginning to worry when he was suddenly pulled under by a sharp tug on his leg. Surprise filled his face as he saw Jacen's laughing form not far away. "That cheeky boy," he thought has he playfully chased after Jacen a little, being mindful of the surfboards floating just above them. The thought of playing tag under water, was certainly an appealing one, but his own good sense got the better of him, knowing that if they didn't resurface soon Cami would worry, maybe even coming after them. So Jesse signaled to go up, unsure of whether Jacen could speak under water or not, and not really wanting to take that chance that he couldn't. Jesse broke the surface shaking the water out of his eyes like a wet dog floating over next to Jacen, his big blue-green eyes putting puppies to shame, "I'm sorry about that, I'm not used to others being out here with me, let alone being able to keep up. I guess I got a little carried away. I'll be sure to make it up to you, that is if you'll let me," Jesse's innocent smile melted into a devilish grin as he goosed Jacen on the butt and dart off towards his board. "Doing good Jess, just don't move too fast or you might scare him off," thought one part of his mind, while the other, less "innocent" part of his mind seriously considered pouncing on the boy and making out with him for hours beneath the waves. Jesse laughed at himself a little, shaking his head, "I guess, even demititans can't change their stripes,"He paddled back over to Jacen, sitting on his board like he was riding a horse, bobbing and twisting with the tide. "We can try again if you like, this time I'll let you drive," offering a genuine smile as he playfully bumped shoulders with the boy. There wasn't time to hear Jacen's reply as a massive wave seemed to appear from nowhere and swallow them both whole. The fact that the wave caught them both by surprise was enough to worry Jesse, it was extremely unusual for him not to feel it building before it hit. He flailed around a bit trying to regain his balance. It felt like he had been picked up an tossed, when he was quite obviously still in the water. He swam to the surface, taking a big gulp of air as his head broke free of the water, hoping it would help clear things up a bit. Instead it just confused him more. They were no longer in the Long Island Sound, they were somewhere completely different, and despite his typically infallible sense of direction in the water, he was completely bewildered as to where they had ended up. "What the f*ck just happened," Jesse voiced to no one in particular, doing a double take as he noticed a long haired head bobbing not far away, "Cami?! How did you get out here? Jacen? You alright?" The weapon, which I'd designed and built from a popular book series, was my most treasured possession... I'd been meaning to spell it to always return to me, but I'd been juggling around the size problem; it wouldn't fit into my pocket.
Suddenly, between Jesse and I, a bubble popped. The, something rose to the surface. You wouldn't beleive it... but it was my huthvir, which I'd named thyella.
It was a five foot long staff with a seam in the exact middle. It looked rather simple, but upon twisting it, a nine-inch long, wicked looking celestial bronze blade would come out of either end, turning it into a deadly weapon.
After five years of bojutsu, I'd been looking for something to make that was a bit more.... lethal, than your average staff.
Whispering a quiet thank you to Pontos, because he was the only god I knew who could both create a wave I couldn't sense, and know that I had this, I picked it up from the water. It was perfectly dry.
"Well, we're obviously on a quest or something...." I looked around, but all I could see was the water, for miles. "Hmm... didn't someone tell me that most sea-born quests end up in the Sea of Monsters?"
Gods and Titans above, I hoped not...
I silently thanked whoever was responsible for my good sense of direction; usually, I could navigate cities instantly, after looking at a map an hour ago. Of course, this was no city, but I prayed that the sense would stay.
I looked up at the sun, and figured that it was about one-thirty. The sun was to our right, and up... so the right was West. from there, it became easy. Although I'd only been in the Dutch equivalent of Boy Scouts for five weeks before I moved, some lessons had sunk in.
"That way is North," I said definitively, pointing behind us. Now, we knew how to go where we were going... but were were we even going?
I looked at Jesse. "Were do you think we should go?"

Jesse's sense of direction was still spinning around like a compass shaken hard to keep from sticking when he noticed that his surfboard had reverted back to it's bracelet form, and Jacen's board had disappeared, presumably swapped out for bizarre looking weapon he was now holding. Jesse couldn't help but hope that Jacen knew how to use that strange thing, and not slice him and Cami up in the cross fire. Jacen said something about them being on a quest or something, which struck Jesse as odd. Weren't they supposed to get a prophesy from that oracle or something before they went? This whole thing stank, mostly of thick fishy salt water. Not that him minded too much, it's just that salt water was less responsive to him than freshwater, or even water with low salt content. It was time to take stock of where they were, Jacen had pointed out which direction was west, which helped Jesse break out of his disoriented fog a bit. "You're right, and the sun looks a bit further north in the sky, coupled with how warm this water is, I'd say we were transported to the Caribbean or there abouts. Last I had heard, the Sea of Monsters was in the Bermuda Triangle, let's just hope we're further south than that." Jesse scrubbed his face with his hands, getting really irritated with all that damnedable salt. "As much as I hate to say it, I think we need to head for land, hang on, give me a second," he submerged fully under the water again, focusing on the water itself, rather than the annoying salt in it. He finally able to start getting his bearings, the water sea bed started to rise sharply about 10 miles or so to the south-southeast, it usually meant an island, a reef or at the least a sand bar or something. Somewhere where they could rest for a bit and try to figure out where to go from here. Drifting back up to the surface he relaid the information. "It's going to be quite a swim, We're probably going to have to limit the use of our powers, since we don't know where we are, we don't have and food, or fresh water. I'm hoping this landmass I picked up is an island with fresh water on it, otherwise this is going to be a really really rough trip." Sure it seemed as though Jesse were a little fixated on the need for fresh water, and in a way he was. The salt water sea was Poseidon's domain, with few small exceptions, gifts or you might say concessions to other sea deities, but ultimately it all belonged to him. And just at this moment, Jesse couldn't help but feel like the salt was telling him he didn't belong there, and he couldn't agree more. He struck out with long powerful strides made for distance swimming, conserving his energy and doing his best to focus his mind only on the task at hand. That nagging feeling that he was an unwelcome guest dogged his every move, and nagged him at the back of his mind with every stroke, he absolutely hated it, it was like dragging an extra 50 pound weight with him. By they time the managed to make it to the small island he had found, Jesse was bone tired and in and extremely foul mood. "I'm going to look for a spring or something," he grumbled without ceremony and stomped off among the sparse palm trees, pausing only to reach out with what little strength he had left, zeroing in on a spring that fed into a lazy river. "Family, that'll help," he muttered as he knelt down by the water's edge whispering politely, "Hey sis, would mind if I used some of your waters to wash this bloody salt off me, and get a drink? I'll be sure to pay you back," a hint of his former promiscuous smile playing at the corners of his mouth. A flowing face smiled back up at him, somehow nodding with the current, calling back to him, "Be my guest dear brother, you will need your strength for the path ahead. There is no need for repayments, I already owe you," Jesse's smile became real as he caught on that he had already paid the price for this favor, possibly several times over. "Some times it pays to be easy,"He stood a few feet back from the banks, not wanting to pollute her waters with that wretched salt, and gently tugged until a small geyser of cool clear fresh water enveloped him. It was almost orgasmic for him, the sudden feeling of freedom and release, showering away all that hindrance, drinking deeply until he was refreshed, carefully stopping the flow of water and returning it to his Oceanid sister. "Thanks sis, you have no idea how much I appreciate it.spank me hard, be sure to look me up the next time dad has us all together, I'll be sure to thank you properly. Do you mind if I bring Cami and Jacen over for a drink?" she smiled back nodding again. With a grin Jesse trotted back to where he had left the others. "Over here you two, come get a drink, there fruit trees over here and shade. We can discuss our plan of action while we rest in relative comfort," his smile beaming, more like his old self as he guided Jacen and Cami back towards the spring. "Sorry about earlier. Poseidon and I had a disagreement once, and he likes to remind me who's boss every once in a while, but a quick drink and a shower, and I'm right as rain," he chattered away as they rested. "I'm pretty sure this river leads to a cavey, grotto type thing. I get the feeling, that's where we need to go, what do you say?" Word Count: 1021 Muse: freaking amazing Notes: had to stop myself before i pushed things too far ahead. I hope it gave you something to work with. As soon as Jesse said 'swim', Jacen relaxed; swimming was second nature to him. He was at home in the water, as at home as he was on land. No, even more so, because he didn't have a home on land, except for the Academy. And school is not home for anyone. Jacen swam with Jesse, unleashing a powerful yet long-distance breaststroke, the kind he'd used in swimteam to do 600s, never stopping. Maybe Jesse'd been raised in the water, knowing about his dad being the King of the Ocean, but he was having a hard time; the water around him seemed to almost thicken, like syrup, pushing him back. Jacen smiled; this was one opportunity to best Jesse in something, for Jesse would not drown, and Jacen was not slowed down. He raced ahead, and reached the island a minute or two in front of Jesse, smiling as he got out of the water. Usually, Jacen had no stamina for sports that required it most; he could do bojutsu, but that was quick reaction, and thinking. Swimming, however, was different; his sweat was whisked away before he even felt it, and the water seemed to replenish him. He watched from behind with Cami as Jesse bent over to get a sip of water, Jacen admiring Jesse more than his skill at persuading the river spirit for a drink. Why he simply couldn't purify it from the ocean, Jacen didn't know. In fact, the question had dogged at him for a while, now. Jacen could easily boil a glob water in an instant, and have a drink before Jesse could say 'swim'. So why had they come here? It was very odd, in fact, almost as if they'd been drawn to this place. Jacen agreed, though, that they had to get out of the water; while Jacen could have provided drink, and fish could have been food, sleeping would be difficult, there wouldn't've been shelter, and if it really was the Sea of Monsters, they'd be dead in minutes. So if they had been drawn somehow to the island, going to the cave seemed only sensible. Besides, it was shelter, the third thing on the survival list. He led Cami on, thinking about how silent she'd been lately, but not sure if that was simply how she was; he, after all, had only just met these people. In fact, that led on another line of thought; he'd only just met these people, and while he clearly liked Jesse, it could be a trap, or something worse. Whoa, I'm paranoid.... Alarm shot through me; usually, though I often over thought things, I was never, ever paranoid. Now, I was second-guessing Jesse, and Pontos by extension. That was not normal... I racked my brain for things that caused paranoia. Ranitidine, famotidine, baclofen, amantadine, ritalin, mercury, drugs, XTC, and heavy withdrawal.... since I hadn't quit smoking or drinking recently, and had never done drugs or needed H2 receptors, I began crossing things off of my list. Mercury. There was mercury somewhere; maybe we'd swam through it, maybe we'd breathed it, it might be in the river.... He thought back, with his new mode of thinking in which everything was considered against its use in Ancient Greece. He'd adopted this ever since Krios had kidnapped him, ever since he accepted the existence of Greek deities. Useless; his encyclopedia of a mind only remembered that they used it in some topical medicines. The Chinese used it for attaining immortality, though.... Ugh; he was such an idiot! Mercury. Hermes, to the Romans! It was a message or something. He stood up to tell Jesse about it. "Hey.... This'll sound ridiculous, but I think we've come into contact with mercury... its mostly dangerous 'cause of the poisonous vapors it makes." A pins and needles feeling was spreading across his hands, curiously seeming alive. He swatted at it, but there was nothing there. Invisible? Nah; it'd have weight.... the pins and needles, curiously, jumped to my mouth. Hm. Usually, pins and needles had something to do with blood, right? If only Jacen could remember why that was important, something to do with his mouth.... He took a step forward, and tripped, falling onto the sand. His hands didn't rush up to meet the ground, as they usually did, though; they flopped at his sides, and he took a dive into the soft ground. Finally, the last thing I felt before I blacked out was a terrible itchiness spreading across my body, like a plague. "Mercury? What the hell does a planet have to do with this?," Jesse thought fairly confused, turning around just in time to see Jacen collapse.
"sh*t JACEN!!!" Jesse bolted to Jacen's side, rolling him onto his back. "Come on Jacen, hang in there buddy. We'll get you back in the water and you'll be all better, yeah? Just you hang in there," Jesse scooped Jacen up in his arms ready to carry him back out to the sea, but didn't even get a chance to stand up when a velvety voice called out.
"What do you think you are doing child?"
"My friend is ill. If I can get him to the water, I think he'll be ok..." Jesse answered without taking his eyes from Jacen's limp form.
"He's not ill child. I simply sent him a message, one which you all should heed."
This pissed Jesse off to no end, shooting an angry look at the speaker, realizing immediately she was no ordinary mortal.
"And just what message would that be my lady?"
Her eyes narrowed dangerously, "I see you are not a complete fool son of Oceanus, though you play the part rather well. It was foolish of you to come here,"
"We didn't come here by choice. Now, unless you're going to take back whatever 'message' you gave him, I have to get him to the water or he'll die, and I'm not about to let that happen..."
"You truly are a fool after all, aren't you. The water is the problem, not the solution," Jesse stared at her puzzled for a moment. Jacen was the son of a sea goddess, and salt water would be the best thing for him...mercury..."Not the planet you idiot! The element. The poisonous element!"
"You poisoned him?!" Jesse yelled indignantly.
"Oh please child, if I wished I could crush you with a thought. The mercury was a message, a rather simple message in fact. One that even you should be able to understand. You. Should. Not. Be. Here. Do you understand? Or so I need to spell it out for you with crayons and construction paper?"
Jesse just glared at the women refusing to let Jacen go.
"Come now child, do you really think me heartless enough, that I would kill my own son?"

Have you ever woken up in the arms of a god?
I have, and believe me; the feeling is glorious. It's divine, there's no other term for it.
For as I cracked an eyelid, and the sunlight rushed blindingly in, the first thing I saw was a golden-looking, tanned, perfectly muscled chest.
Even though I was still dizzy, and my throat felt drier than the Sahara, I smiled a bit. Embarrassingly enough, I actually think I curled into him a bit.
Then, I heard voices.
"Do you think..... heartless... my own son?"
This jolted me awake, and though I still felt dizzy, and my vision went to a green tinge, I grinned at Jesse, and turned around to face the woman in front of me, apparently my mother.
Eurybia. No wonder she'd been so hard to find, on an island in the middle of nowhere!
"Mother?" I asked, not unkindly. I still didn't know if I could trust her yet, but she was my mom. If I couldn't trust her, who could I trust?
She was beautiful, in an inhuman, unearthly way; golden cheeks, long, light brown hair, and blue-grey eyes precisely the color of the surface of the ocean. Jacen could imagine that, at times, they would become as angry and tormented as the ocean in a storm, but now, they were calm, and serene.
She was slender, and angular, and Jacen could see similarities between her and him; their body type, the brown hair, its straightness.
She, like him, probably tanned easily. She, like him, had an affinity for the water, but also towards knowledge. And she was the only family he had left, despite the poisoning.
"Pontos sent us, mother. Your father. I don't know why, exactly, but while I'm here.... my father's been taken. By Krios, I think. Do you know where he is?"
The last part, he said with a worried, almost scared tone; mentioning Krios might be the wrong thing to do, and also, if she didn't know his whereabouts, he was dead.
Words: 360 Comments: SO Sorry about the wait! I had a personal event going on, but I'm back, now!

"Come now child, do you really think me heartless enough, that I would kill my own son?" Eurybia said with an exasperated sigh. Why were these half-bloods always so thick headed, of course that question answered itself. They were thick headed because they were part mortal. That wasn't to say that mortals didn't have their uses, some of them, like Jacen's father, had been quite entertaining. At least for a little while. She delicately sat herself down on a thing current of air which left her floating just inches off the ground, just a reminder that those half-bloods were in the presence of divinity. "Mother?" Jacen's voice sent an unwelcome chill up her spin. He wasn't exactly her only child, but he was the only half-blood brazen enough to address her by anything other than 'My Lady,' or her name. She had to admit, she preferred the more formal approach, but she would allow Jacen some grace for now. He was still recovering from, her earlier message after all. "Yes Jacen, I am your mother, Eurybia, the flint hearted one. Titaness of Sea Mastery and so on." She waved her hand deftly as though she were utterly bored by the whole thing, which wasn't far from the truth. "Pontos sent us, mother. Your father. I don't know why, exactly, but while I'm here.... my father's been taken. By Krios, I think. Do you know where he is?" It would stand to reason that doddering old fool who claimed to be her father would send these children to her. On one level she was flattered that Pontos would bend the rules for her son, on the other he was quite annoyed that even after all these centuries, he was still interfering in her life. "My husband? Kidnapping you father? That's preposterous. Krios has been imprisoned with brethren in Tartarus since the end of the last War. What could he possibly want with your mortal father anyway..." She paused mid stream as a voice whispered in her mind. "Mason Grey is important to me...daughter..." Eurybia blinked her eyes quickly trying to seem unaffected by this revelation. "Jacen, I can tell you this, Krios does not have your father, but you will have to act quick, and with more help than these two can provide." She shifted slightly on the current brushing a stray hair from her eyes before continuing. "Things are stirring, things more powerful than even Kronos and his idiot brethren. I cannot tell you much other than to advise you to listen to Pontos carefully, he knows more than he says. Within the next few days, an opportunity to save your father will present itself, take it. You may save more than just your father's life. The safest place for you is at the Academy until that opportunity makes itself known. "But before I send you back, I suppose I can be imposed to offer you one wish, a gift to my son. Anything you wish, within reason. Perhaps a more mobile form for that weapon of yours or something like that?" Word Count: 529 Muse: Prissy Notes: Couldn't think of another way to do this than have Eurybia make her own post For the Record this thread takes place just before the House United Tread

Jacen's mouth twisted in thought; a gift from his mother, after such a major disappointment? His father was as good as dead; Jacen doubted he'd ever see her again. After all, in murder cases in America, they had suspects, and then they cut suspects off the list, until there was only one left. His prime suspect, and the only one he'd ever considered, was Krios. If Krios wasn't the culprit, who was?! The warning about Pontos seemed a little strange, as Jacen had grown to trust the Old Man of the Sea, with only two meetings. Then again, he was as old as the earth itself, and a being that existed for that long didn't always stick to the straight and narrow. Then, the gift. He'd always been annoyed at his Huthvir's reluctance to be transported, and the fact that he'd never had it when he needed it... but asking for a major upgrade simply seemed too much, somehow. He could always ask for armor or something. In fact, he'd always hated armor; it restricted his movements, and slowed them, and the people he fought were skilled enough to strike between it, anyway. Hm. Two options; either a suit of armor that was both light and strong, like Underarmor, but for battle, or something that would summon what he needed, when he needed it. He dug in his pockets, and pulled out a key ring that had resided there, in his swimming trunks, since he'd found it on the bottom of the ocean, and cleaned it up. Hm; a tough choice; defense, or offense? Jacen had always been defensive, and hated the prospect of hurting other living things, but when the time came, he wanted to have a weapon to fight with. Hm. No, he'd work on the weapon on his own time. A quick blueprint of a magically-aided telescoping hilt came into his mind, one that would go on his belt rather comfortably. He had a feeling, however, that this choice would come back to him soon, and that he'd regret not choosing the one he had... One thing swayed his opinion; his mother had implied that the weapon needed improvement, and he took that to mean that he'd need it, in times to come. While it was only a ghost of a hint, and one that might not even be real, he took it seriously. "My Lady," he aid, realizing that the Heiress to the Seas deserved such a title, "can you make this keyring summon my greatest need in turbulent times?" He'd worded it carefully; if he was starving on a desert island, naturally, his need would be food. He wasn't sure if it was possible, but hopefully, the rather ambiguous wording, and the potential for it to be a reliable survival tool for a person who, barring his navigational skill, had the survivability of rice paper, was impressive. Word Count: 500 Muse: Rather debating Notes: You've scored the exact personality I'd thought Eurybia would have! Whoa, are you a mind reader?!

Jesse had been reluctant to let Jacen go as he seemed to recover from his mother's little "message," but he knew better than to try and get between mother in child, no matter how sadistic that mother may be. His guts were practically screaming that she was "bad medicine" and definately not an ally. But he said nothing, just stayed close at hand in case Jacen needed him, he wasn't really sure why, but Jesse was definitely feeling protective of the boy. Which was not something he was used to in the slightest.
Typically, he and the boys and girls he coupled with had their intense moments of fun and parted ways. Maybe meeting up again later on, but never anything too long term. Even Erika, who was the most steady of his companions hadn't been anyone all that steady. They would hook up, Jesse would screw around, some times she would join in other times she'd get pissed of and leave him to his own devises for weeks even moths at a time. But that was it. This whole being concerned and protective was alien, and unsettling for Jesse, but he would ride that wave and see where it took him.
Jesse inched a step or two closer, not caring for the sea titaness' being so aloof and evasive, hoping his presence would be somewhat reassuring for Jacen, in that he was not alone. For a moment his mind drift causing him to flinch slightly, Cami had been really quiet lately and that wasn't normal either. He felt a small pang of guilt for not being more concerned about her, but right now Jacen needed him more, or at least Jesse thought he needed him more.
"Stop thinking round and round in circles and check on your sister," he mentally chided himself as he looked around for her. He was dead set on maintaining his position near Jacen should he need him, and stubbornly refused to move. Instead motioning for Cami to join him once he spotted her. He slipped a brotherly arm around her shoulders hugging her tight in apology, hopefully she would recognize that he hadn't meant to ignore or forget her. He was just preoccupied...
His attention returned to mother and child as Eurybia addressed Jacen's wish.
"Oh course I can make that keyring summon your weapon, I could also make you weapon disguise itself as a key on that keyring, and make it always return to you if dropped. The question is, which do you desire?"
Jesse was really beginning not to like this titaness. Sure all the titans were arrogant and proud, they were the first divinities after all. But come on, this was her own son, not some random punk off the street begging her to make him divine as well. Jesse frowned deeply glaring at the floating titaness, who was quite transparently using her powers to "impress" them. But Jesse wasn't impressed at all, ok maybe a little, but he wouldn't admit to it. He was secretly grateful that he had his arm around Cami, in stead of being free to go to his bracelet and summon his harpoon-spear. It probably wouldn't help the situation much if he attacted Jacen's mother, that sort of thing never did go down well. Sure, it would make Jesse feel better, but he'd also most likely be dead; which of course was rather counter productive.
He put a friendly hand on Jacen's shoulder as Eurybia granted Jacen's wish, not really sure what to say.
"There you are, a gift for my son. The three of you remain close together like that, and I shall transport you back to the Academy. Jacen, don't try to find this place again, no matter what that doddering old fool might say. If I need you I will summon you, otherwise it is not safe for you here. I wish you luck on finding your father, Mason is a good man...for a mortal. Now, be off with you,"
At a word, a vortex of wind engulfed them, carrying them away from the island back to the middle of the Long Island Sound.

She knew her brother was worried for her but she couldn’t find it in her heart to interrupt them, before and after the titaness’s approach. She vaguely remembered following Jacen and Jesse out to the beach, sans her own gear since she never really liked surfing. Swimming was more of her thing. As she stood watching the other two, she remembered a vague feeling of worry when Pontos had pulled her towards Eurybia’s home and the few moments before when Jacen and Jesse seemed to take ages to surface from the water but other than that, Cami couldn’t completely remember what she was doing. It wasn’t like her.
Then afterwards, landing in the home of Eurybia did not seem to bode well for her memories either. She remembered seeing Jesse charm their way into drinking from the river from one of their sisters and that sister had sent her this weird half-worried half-smug look. Cami figured the worry was for her lack of reaction to anything even though her senses and instincts were flaring up like New York City during Christmas and even in the situation, Cami found it amusing that her sister would look smug at her. For all records, Cami and Jesse were strictly platonic. Besides, Jesse was doing a good job wooing Jacen. At least, until Jacen blacked out and Eurybia appeared. Then everything rushed forward with sudden and painful clarity.
Cami bit her lip, trying to find solace and comfort in the arm Jesse had around her shoulders but she couldn’t bring herself to relax. All of her senses were alert and she could feel her blood pumping violently in her veins, instincts trying to break free. She knew that he was worried for her and her unusual silence but at the same time, he was worried for Jacen and Cami knew it was with good reason.
Jacen’s mother was unlike hers and unlike hers in an extreme way it seemed. Her mother wasn’t around all that much but they talked and she was treated like family whenever she went down to the palace. She also knew where her mother was. Judging from Jacen’s look, he hadn’t known where his mother was, well, neither did she but she never kept tabs on family…most of the time. Cami’s own mother, Tethys never really felt the need to show who was in power, Cami acknowledged it without question. She didn’t care if her mother was superior, just that she was in her life. But it seemed as if Eurybia didn’t care for her own children treating them like pawns in a game.
She felt as if she was holding her breath while Eurybia granted Jacen’s wish and she moved with Jesse as he moved them closer to Jacen and she said nothing at his apologetic squeeze to her shoulders. Cami hadn’t minded that he had forgotten her presence. She had been away, mentally for the lack of a better term. Away and very far from reality it seemed. It wasn’t like her. Cami watched the titanness, her head tilting the slightest bit as she spoke final words with her son and to soothe Jesse’s emotions, she wrapped an arm around his waist, hugging tightly.
Aloof she might have been and definitely drinking in the fact that she was superior to them, Eurybia seemed to have a soft spot for Jacen’s father and possibly Jacen himself and for a moment, Cami wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or not.
It wasn’t until they arrived back on school grounds, back in the middle of Long Island Sound that Cami realized her chest ached and that she probably needed to breathe, although she couldn’t quite remember when she started to hold her breathe. And as she gasped air quietly, eyes shutting from the sting of air rushing into her lungs, she managed a hoarse, quiet,“Jesse, this is going to sound so friggin weird but what the hell just happened?”
For a moment, Cami almost didn’t want him to answer and if he did, she hoped she didn’t space out again. She was spacey, weird and liked rushing waves and the sound the waves made when crashing against rocks more than a girl her age should but it seemed as if something big was going to happen. And it wasn’t going to be good. In fact, it probably was going to be super horrible and there was nothing they could do about it but stand together and meet it head on like every other demi-god, demi-titan, and half-monster/mythological creature and person did in the past.
Just meet it head on. And with good reason, it didn't sit well in her stomach

"I... I just met my mother, learned that her husband isn't, in fact, responsible for the kidnapping of my mortal father, who went missing last year, got mercurial poisoning as a 'message', and an enchanted key ring. Weird, right? I feel so... well, odd."
And he did; the day had began with him taking a swim, then he'd met Jesse, discovered a whole side of him he hadn't known about, gone surfing for the first time in years, and travelled who knows how far to some deserted island, all before lunch.
It had been an action-packed morning, if you could still call it that; it was about four-o-clock. They'd missed lunch, the meal Jacen counted on to revive him from his morning anger typical of every day.
True, he went on morning swims, but if he was approached before noon, usually, he bit. Well, verbally. It was sheer luck he hadn't eaten Jesse's head off for breakfast, really.
Jacen turned to Jesse. He smiled, tilting his head slightly downwards, and said,
"You know... you did save my life back there. Y'know, with the poisoning, and all. I should thank you, but words don't quite seem... fair. Anything you can think of for me to show a sign of my thanks?"
He knew he was being flirtatious, and that it wasn't in his character, but such a weight had been lifted off of his shoulders, that he felt almost free, like he could fly.
He hadn't been responsible for his dad's disappearance. All this time, he'd assumed Krios had been angry at Jacen for escaping, and taken it out on his father. Nope, that wasn't what happened, and although he was worried about the outcome of events, and where his father might be now, he was also glad.
He smiled at Jesse invitingly, knowing what would probably come.

"You know Cami, I'm not entirely sure myself. I think we got picked up and dropped in the middle of nowhere by our lovely Headmaster. We found and island, which apparently we weren't supposed to find, so Jacen's mom, poisoned him, then she gave him a gift and bumped us back here...I think. Have I mentioned we come from a really f*cked up family lately? Cos, we do. Between Tethys trying to drown you, and Eurybia trying to send us a message by nearly killing Jacen...I'm not so sure I want to go to the next family reunion after all," Jesse was so uncharacteristically thrown off balance by the whole rush of events he had managed to lose some of his turtley demeanor and just kind of stood there on the sand bar with the waves lapping about their feet and legs.
Without thinking, he slid closer to Jacen wanting to comfort him as he...as they all tried to sort out the events of the past few hours, but not really sure hot to do so. If it were any other day, he would have swooped in like a predator the moment he decided he desired Jacen, but today...after all the strange things that happened, and so quickly...he wasn't sure that was the best thing to do.
He thrown even further for a loop as this shy quiet boy was now flirting with him rather blatantly and with very clear intent."So this is what it's like to be on the receiving end, heh, not bad," Jesse thought as some of his former confidence seeped into his smile.
"Hmm, let me think," he replied coyly as he snaked his arms around Jacen's waist pulling him close. "For starters, you could, you know, not do the whole passing out thing again, unless I'm there to catch you of course," He teased lightly as he traced a finger along Jacen's chest feeling a slight rumble come from his stomach, laughing a little as his own rumbled in response. "After that maybe you could join me for some dinner, and then who knows, maybe I could give you a proper tour of my House...what do you say?"

"Dinner would be great, actually."
For a moment, he was confused by Jesse's 'tour of the house'; he'd already seen Jesse's house, hadn't he? Then, it dawned on him; sex. Another shiver passed through him, and he grinned wider.
Jesse's hand was almost a heat source, if felt incredibly warm on his waist. To think that only a thin layer of cloth separated that hand from him.
Then the other arm came, and Jacen was nearly pulled into Jesse, so that they were touching together in spots he'd never imagined he would touch. Their bellybuttons were only a half inch apart, and their chests rose and fell together, one filling the other's space.
It was like... well, to put it as a cliche, it was like they were in harmony or something. And he couldn't promise he wouldn't pass out, if Jesse were there to catch him again...
Although, as someone who hated being dizzy, it hadn't been even close to pleasant.
An agreeable shiver went through Jacen's spine as Jesse ran a finger down his bare chest, and his stomach rumbled, followed a minute later by Jesse's.
He so wanted to run one down his, or do something like it, but his mind went blank, and he could think of nothing. Anyway, they were too close together for him to do anything that wouldn't be second base, right in front of Cami.
While Jesse probably wouldn't have such reservations, he felt like he was moving too far already, too quickly. That wasn't to say that he was unwilling, in fact, it was the opposite. He just didn't want to confuse Jesse.
He settled with burying his head into Jesse's chest, his best feature, his incredibly soft hair, probably tickling him.

Jesse could help but squirm and giggle some as Jacen tickled his sides, a nice moment of levity after hours of stress and confusion. This closeness and familiarity sent his heart ready to explode in his chest. "SCORE," Jesse couldn't help but think as he ran his fingers through Jacen's hair. The brief moment of contentment broken by the common grumble of their empty stomachs.
"We should probably get some food before our guts decided to implode in on themselves...not that I couldn't think something to fill our guts with...but that's for later," he winked at Jacen and returned the tickle to the sides. "How about a little swim contest back to the Academy, winner gets a kiss," he gave Jacen a squeeze the jumped back into the water taking off at an easy pace, holding back to allow Jacen to catch up before matching pace with him. It wasn't long before they were coming out of the water, shaking the water out of their eyes and headed for each other.
"I say we call it a draw," Jesse flashed a sexy smile and pulled Jacen back into his arms. "As I see it, that means we both deserve a kiss..." he lightly lifted Jacen's chin and gently pressed his lips to Jacen's holding him close. It took everything Jesse had not to get completely out of control, not to rip off both their clothes right then and there.
"Mmm I could get used to that..." Jesse lightly brushed his hands along Jacen's arms looking deep into his eyes...the mood once again broken by the insistent and increasingly urgent grumble from their stomach.
"Right, food first, play time later," he snaked an arm around Jacen's waist pulling him close as they walked across the beach towards the dining pavilion. "What are you hungry for? Anything you wont, we'll get, my treat...sure that doesn't mean a whole lot at the Academy...but a night on the town, well that's another story all together," He flashed his sexiest smile and hugged Jacen closer, really looking forward to what the rest of the day...night had in store.

As soon as Jesse giggled, Jacen began to laugh, until they both laughed in harmony. Gosh, that sounded dopy. Jacen attributed it to hunger; it was a miracle he wasn't snapping at Jesse; with his high metabloism, and the effort he'd been going through recently in the quest, he needed FOOD, urgently.
"We should probably get some food before our guts decided to implode in on themselves...not that I couldn't think something to fill our guts with...but that's for later,"
Jacen smiled, already becoming desensitized to Jesse's perverted mind, and realizing that his wasn't too clean, anyway. But it was a valid point; in a couple of minutes, Jacen had felt his strength take a dip, and already weak as he was, it was rather important that he eat. He felt a bit like Jesse had allowed him to catch up; Jesse seemed to be an expert at taking Jacen by surprise. Hm, maybe an omen for later?
He swam as fast and hard as he can, but Jesse hadn't used as much strength lately; without his sense of sportsmanship, he could have won, easily. They walked over to each other, Jacen dripping water onto the sand, and Jesse's smile nearly blinded him; the setting sun flashed off of it, and Jesse's nearly perfect teeth acted better than a freaking mirror. The smile felt Jacen's blood go definitively south, and every touch he felt was like a stovetop, though certainly not uncomfortable.
The kiss was... startling. A month ago, he never would have thought of kissing another guy, but now? It seemed only natural. He was so close, he could feel Jesse getting more excited, but for some reason, completely uncharacteristic of Jesse, nothing more happened, for the moment. It didn't bother Jacen, though; what a way to come out as bisexual; being caught doing Jesse on the beach!
Jesse's hands brought goosebumps rising... jeez, could he make everything rise like that?!
"Frankly, anything feels good", Jacen said. Jacen wasn't picky about food; apart from fried eggs, he lied EVERYTHING. Literally, even raw tuna made his stomach growl, especially right now. Jesse's hand gave Jacen a good sign for how the rest of the evening would go.

With the weight of the day finally settling on Jesse's mind and body, he lay his head slightly on Jacen's shoulder as they strolled up to the pavilion. It was strange for Jesse to depend on anyone in this fashion, but after a day full of strenuous physical activity, and not having eaten all day, really took its toll. He grabbed a plate with one hand, reluctantly released Jacen with the other to grab his meal. The Academy had some of the best food he had ever seen, with something for nearly every taste. He filled his plate with his meal, sat it down on his table then went back and grabbed a choice piece of meat, dumping it into the Sacred Fire.
"To Oceanus, thanks dad," he whispered making his way back to the table, with more than a few staff and students glaring daggers into his back. It was out of the ordinary for a student to offer the sacrifice before eating their meal, and even more so when the sacrifice was offered to a Titan without "and the gods," somewhere in the "prayer". But after today's little adventure, Jesse felt his dad deserved an offering all his own.
No sooner did he sit down than he started digging into his meal with a gusto. Evidently, he was a hell of a lot hungrier than he originally thought; no sooner did he start swallowing food, he began to feel immensely better. He stopped porking out, only to realize he had been inadvertently ignoring Jacen as they sat across from each other.
"Sorry about that," Jesse ventured dabbing his lips with a napkin. "Guess I was feeling a little sharkish there for a minute," He grinned brightly amusing himself with his lame observation.
"How about you? The grub filling that cute empty little belly of yours yet? Or is it skipping your stomach all together and headed right for your system," he joked a little, fully recognizing that his attempts at sounding cute and flirty were flopping miserably, at least to his own ears. A stray thought stung his mind as his eyes continued to drink in the boy's lithe form, storing it in his memory for later use.
"As much as I'd love to have my way with him, and him with me...I can't help but feeling like I'd be taking advantage of him and the emotional day he's had..."
"You know Jacen, I would love to have you stay with me tonight, but you don't have to. You don't owe me a thing. We're mates right? And mates do for mates. If I ever need help, I'd come to you, just as I'd like to hope you'd come to me as well. That isn't to say I wouldn't like to get to know you in a much more intimate way, but I'd hate it if you only did it because you felt obligated. None the less, my door will always be open to you, even if that means just crashing on the couch eating pizza and watching old movies or something..." he hated tripping all over his word like that, but he just could come up with a nice way of saying, "I'd love to f*ck, but we don't have to if you don't want to," he felt that being crude and direct like that would really not be helpful in any way shape or form.
"I guess that's just my way of saying, I'm game for whatever it is you would like to do,"
