It's a beautiful day, Don't let it get away, It's a beautiful day. Charlie Rose was having a do-nothing day. It wasn't often that she had time for herself, and she was definitely taking advantage of it. Her morning had started like any other. She'd woken up early and gone for her morning jog. Which, like always had turned into a morning sprint. She'd had her favourite breakfast, toast on white bread, with butter and jam, and a glass of milk. And now, she was sitting in the garden, under an olive tree. Her camera was on her lap, and she was flipping through pictures she'd taken earlier that day. Around her the air smelled like strawberries. (Probably because she was sitting in front of the strawberry patch.) It was only a little square of the guardian, but Charlie liked it because she'd heard people talk about Camp Half Blood and how they'd grown strawberries. Around her the birds chirped happily. Charlie looked up from what she was doing. She rested her head back against the tree and sighed. It really was a beautiful day. The kind of day that made Charlie want to run, or climb a tree. The warm sun was hitting her face delightfully and Charlie closed her eyes so that she could take in the smells and sounds. Charlie picked up her camera, turned it so that it was facing her and snapped a picture. She flipped it back around and chuckled. What a terrible picture! She pressed erase. Again she flipped the camera around, smiled and snapped another picture. This time, it wasn't so bad. I wonder... Charlie thought, she gently place the camera on the ground and concentrated. She thought about the air around the camera moving going underneath the camera and pushing it up, off the ground. Slowly, the camera started to raise off the ground. When it was about eye level it started to wobble. "Damn," Charlie reached out at the last second, scared her camera would fall and caught it in both hands. Right as the camera landed safely in her arms it went off, flashing and almost blinding her. Charlie turned the camera around and looked at the picture. Now that, is a terrible picture.Word count: 362 words. (Without code.) Litensing to: Beautiful Day- U2. Wearing: Charlie's Outfit. Notes: Totally open.

forgive me i'm trying to find, i'm calling, i'm calling at night. Sean woke, and took his time getting ready that morning. He never enjoyed rushing or being rushed, especially if it meant someone yelling at him. After taking a shower and getting dressed, Sean noticed his stomach growling. What do I have left? he thought for a moment before remembering he'd depleted the last of his junk food stash 2 nights ago. So Sean walked to the courtyard, heading for the gardens, hoping to get a couple fresh picked strawberries. The smell nearly knocked him out every time he got close to the patch the strawberries grew. Under the tree next to the strawberry patch was Charlie. She looked like she was concentrating carefully and then Sean noticed a small digital camera lift off the ground, Dang. That's pretty sweet. but she quickly lost her concentration and caught the camera before it fell. Sean sighed for her. "Hey Aunt Charlie." Sean somewhat teased, walking over to her. "That was pretty cool, but if you need someone to take a picture of you, just ask." he smiled. Sean loved to joke around about some of his friends and their godly parents' relationship to him, including Charlie who, by normal standards, would be his aunt seeing as how Athena was Zeus's daughter. Sean was always friendly with new kids since he'd come to Half-Blood Academy 6 years ago. Charlie wasn't new anymore, but they'd kept a good friendship. Charlie looked up as someone called her name. She saw Sean walking towards her. Sean was an Athena boy, meaning, smart with great eyes. He was a year older then her, but he'd been here much longer then she had. At least four years longer if you want specifics. "Hey Sean." She smiled, "Thanks, I try." She looked at the camera, wishing she was just the slightest be more powerful. Sometimes, not that she liked to complain, but Charlie felt like she'd gotten the smaller half of the cookie when it came to being a daughter of Zeus. Sure, she could levitate a bit, and levitate other things, but her brothers could use lightning. Something Charlie couldn't figure out. And how cool is levitating something if it drops the second you get the slightest bit distracted. "That's cool. I'm just fooling around." She held the camera up so that it was pointed at Sean. "Smile." She grinned mischievously and snapped a picture. If you knew Charlie, you knew she probably had a picture of you somewhere. Which sounds creepy but the girl almost always had her camera on and flashing. She wasn't that bad a photographer either. People never looked horrible in her pictures. She wasn't weird about pictures though, if you asked her to delete a picture she would, and she always made sure the person knew she was taking the picture. Charlie scuffed one of her sneakers in the soil. "So, Sean," Charlie asked, stretching out her legs and leaning back against the tree crossing her arms. She fixed her T-shirt, and tilted her hat back a little so she could see past the brim. She pulled off her sunglasses and placed them so that they were hanging on the neck of her sweater. "What brings you out to the strawberry patch this fine day?" Word Count: 312 words. (w/o code.) Listening to: I Like It- Enrique Iglesias. Tags: Sean Massey.

Sean smiled for the photo and blinked a few times, always being temporarily blinded by Charlie's flash. Sean opened his mouth to respond to her question when his stomach growled, "That would be why." he chuckled. "I exhausted my stash." he sighed.
Sean looked to the tree they were sitting under. Sean tended to have somewhat of a fascination with this tree ever since his claiming 6 years ago when an olive tree grew at his feet. This olive tree. His mother had kept it alive and growing olives that were used by the Academy kitchen. The tree had been nicknamed the "Massey Tree" by a few Athena kids that were there that night that have since left, but Sean tries to keep the name alive at times.
Before Sean's eyes, an olive grew on a bare branch and ripened in seconds before dropping into his lap. Sean chuckled and said towards the east, New York, "Thanks mom." before popping it in his mouth and spitting the pit across the gardens. But his stomach growled again and he said, still towards Mount Olympus's place in New York, "Got anymore?" and when no more olives grew he sighed. Word Count: 212 (w/o code) Tags: Charlie Rose

Charlie grinned, flipping the camera around and looking at the picture. "Wow, you actually look great." She turned the camera it over to show him.
Charlie chuckled as the boys stomach rumbled. "I see," she smiled. Charlie understood. Nine times out of ten Charlie found herself coming here after a long run. Fresh fruit was amazing and Charlie loved strawberries. More then one should like a specific fruit. Charlie watched as an olive fell grew, fell off the tree and landed directly in Sean's lap. Sean thanked his mother and Charlie smiled. "Now that's cool." She admitted happily. When Sean asked for more Charlie laughed. She could imagine Athena sitting on her throne tsk-tsking. It was an interesting image. Charlie watched as a small bird landed in front of the strawberry patch. It picked up one of the fallen fruits. The berry was as big as the birds head. Charlie quickly snapped a picture. The flash startled the bird, and it flew away. "Awe." Charlie frowned at the picture. It was blurry. Sadly, she clicked erase. Charlie folded herself over her legs, stretching out her body. Leaning over one leg, then the other. A habit from track. If she sat still for two long, she started stretching. Almost like her body couldn't stand being still. Charlie guessed that also might have something to do with the half-blood ADHD. "Excited for summer?" Charlie asked Sean. Charlie was. And not just because it was getting warmer, though that was a huge part. Also because the days were longer, there was more time to run, there was better lighting for picture taking, everything just seemed better in the summer. No offence to Khione, but warmer weather lifted Charlie's spirit. Charlie hadn't had the best winter. She sprained her ankle twice trying to jog on the more frosty days. It'd been horrible. So, yes. Charlie was very excited for the summer. Word Count: 319 (w.o code.) Litsening to: The Time- Black Eyed Peas. Sean smirked at Charlie's comment on the photo, "Yeah. I always do." then remarked on her comment on his mom's totally awesome olive-producing powers, "It was. Cause you know, my mom is the coolest Goddess of them all." he scoffed, then added under his breath, "Just kidding. Please don't kill me." and covered his head with his hands, as if protecting himself.
Sean watched as the bird landed and Charlie snapped a picture, but it flew away. He peered over her shoulder at the photo and sighed when he saw it was blurry. He'd always loved Charlie's photos and always let her keep those of him because he actually loved bad photos of himself. They kept him grounded and in reality. Sean knew he had looks, but he didn't "use" them per say, but he liked knowing he didn't look amazing and wanted those moments saved for proof.
Sean looked at the sky, pondering Charlie's question of summer for a moment before replying, "Eh, I always enjoy whatever the weather is. Though when it gets so hot, it's annoying. Just like when it gets super cold. But I would rather be cold than hot, no offense to Apollo." he smiled. Though Sean's favorite hobby was reading, which he could do no matter what the weather was, he always enjoyed reading outside and that did make the weather matter, "But I guess spring would probably be my favorite. You can get a good mix of everything. Or fall...when the leaves change. Why am I so suddenly indecisive?" he said, all quite quickly. Charlie almost choked on a laugh at Sean's turtley comment, she tried to regain herself, but then he was trying to protect himself and she lost it. She laughed loudly. A laugh Charlie hated and tried to avoid at all costs. Even if that did mean only giggling. Her laugh wasn't the problem, it was the snorting that came with it. As quickly as she could Charlie tried to regain herself. Finally stopping and blushing a deep pink. "That makes sense." Charlie nodded. "I'm not into winter, but you're right, it sucks when it super hot too. Running is not fun during a heatwave. I've been dehydrated before. Not fun." She rolled her eyes remembering those terrible times. There was one time, after a track meet where Charlie was sunburnt head to toe, so dehydrated she couldn't stand and exhausted but couldn't sleep because she was in so much pain. Charlie shivered just thinking about it. Charlie was greatful Sean never asked her to delete pictures of him. She would, if he asked but she didn't like deleting photos. Of course it was different when looking at pictures of herself. Charlie didn't think she was ugly, in fact she liked the way she looked, but she was way more judge mental about pictures she was in. Charlie held the camera up, "Say cheese." She said smiling and snapped a picture of the two of them together. Word Count: 245 (w/o code) Tags: Sean Massey Notes: Good, just making sure. Sean sarcastically rolled his eyes at Charlie laughing at him, but still smiled. "But yeah, being dehydrated is no fun. I got dehydrated a lot on the streets." Sean shook his head, trying to erase the memories of being on the streets of Portland after his "mother" kicked him out.
Sean smiled for the picture, then leaned back against the tree. "Your dad planning some kinda storm today?" Sean asked, noticing the clouds above the courtyard. "Not like it'll hit us, what with all the Greek magic, but still. Gotta feel sorry for the people in town." Sean chuckled. Charlie nodded. She didn't know what to say. She knew a lot of half bloods had to make it on their own but she always felt bad for everyone and today was no exception. Deciding saying nothing was better then saying something and potentially offending the good looking boy, Charlie closed her mouth. Charlie had it surprising good. Sure her mother was a little nuts but what parent wasn't? It was now, at school that Charlie had started to have problems with her mother, not before. Before school her mother had been exceptionally kind. Now she seemed bitter. Charlie shook her head to clear her thoughts just as Sean asked about the weather. That made Charlie smile.
"I don't know what my father is up to." Charlie admitted. He's probably just throwing a hissy fit... No offence." Charlie looked up and smiled innocently at the sky." Charlie's father was known for that. Whenever he was angry he'd take it out on mortals.
Charlie looked over at Sean. His eyes intrigued her. They seemed to scream take my picture! Charlie held up her camera and took a picture of the branches above. She turned to Sean and snapped a picture of him, a close up of his eyes from the side. Then she snapped a picture of the Strawberries.
She turned the camera around to look at the photos. Sean's eyes were beautiful as ever. She showed the picture to Sean. Charlie had had the tiniest crush on him since she'd met him. It didn't change the way she acted around him though. Charlie wasn't like that. She just thought he was good looking... and maybe wanted their friendship to be a little more then that. That was okay though. She liked being friends all the same. Charlie sighed, taking a deep breath of Strawberry scented air. "God those strawberries smell good." She said longingly. She was to lazy to get up and get one though. "I'd sure love one." She said.Word Count: 331 words (w/o code.) Listening to: If I had a Million Dollars. Sean looked at the photo and chuckled, "You really are a great photographer." he smiled and his stomach growled a bit. He moved over a bit and picked a few strawberries and bit into one. "Gah. Why must these be so good?!" Sean laughed as he took another bite and offered one to Charlie.
As he offered the strawberry to Charlie, he studied her a bit closer than he normally did. Blue eyes like the sky on a crystal clear day, which was like most at the Academy. Her blonde hair was as golden as the sun. She really did have attributes of the sky, her fathers' realm. Sean had never quite noticed just how beautiful Charlie was, though he'd always known how beautiful her personality was. Sean smiled and took another bite of his strawberry, finishing it off. "Thanks," Charlie grinned stupidly, blushing a little at the comment. She crossed her legs and pulled her back up straight. Sitting still was not one of Charlie's skills. Sean offered her a strawberry, and Charlie gladly took it. ''Mmm." Charlie said taking a bite of her strawberry. She raised one hand to over her mouth so she could talk without spitting food. "Thank you." She meant to say but seeing as she had a mouth full of strawberry it came out muffled and not sounding like thank you at all. She grinned, inwardly laughing at herself. She munched on her strawberry and then stole another from the bunch Sean had picked. She figured he wouldn't mind. He seemed preoccupied with something behind her. She looked, but couldn't see anything and didn't care enough to ask. "So... whats new in the land of Sean?" She asked, stretching out her legs once more. Sean chuckled slightly when Charlie took a second strawberry, and laughed when she tried to say something while eating it.
Charlie's question pulled Sean back into reality, "Oh...natta. Reading...lots. And eating." he laughed. "But yeah, nothing really at all 'new' per say, just a lot of the usual." he replied. Sean took another bite of strawberry, realizing he was somewhat conscious of what he did and how he looked now. That realization came mostly with his notice of the way Charlie looked. What is going on? he couldn't help but wonder in the confines of his own mind. Word Count: 106 w/o code Note:twist my nipples. my muse sucks at this hour...but i can't keep from replying :/

Charlie smiled. "Cool." She said. "Books are fun..." She said. Charlie liked reading. Somewhat... okay, she didn't, but if Sean like reading, she was gonna pretend she was somewhat interested. It was all because of her stupid dyslexia. Words floated off the page, jumbled up and gave her a headache. Maybe he meant reading greek? That was easier. A lot easier then english anyway. Charlie stretched out again and finally couldn't take it, She jumped up, did a cartwheel and sat back down. "Sorry." She said. "I needed to get that out of my system." She laughed and crossed her legs again. Still feeling the rush of being upside down. Charlie wished she knew more about Sean, he was sweet, and well... good looking. She wanted to be closer. Be able to tell him things she'd never told anyone, like how her mother was going nuts knowing about greek stuff. She wanted to be able to tell someone. Charlie wanted someone to talk to, and Sean seemed like he wouldn't judge. "Do you run?" She asked, curious. If he did, maybe Charlie could get him to run with her. He seemed fit. He could probably keep up with Charlie. Well... if Charlie jogged. Charlie smiled, trying not to giggle. She rested her head back on the tree and closed her eyes. She pictured herself running with Sean. Running circles around him. Him laughing because whenever he stopped, she'd jog on the spot. It sounded like fun to her. The next thing that came to mind was doing a photo shoot. She might have to beg for that one though. Not many boys let Charlie dress them up, pose them and take pictures. Charlie just wanted to hang out with him more. Which, scared Charlie a little. Why did she care how much time she spent with Sean? She'd always had a tiny crush on him, but never had she thought about hanging out with him more often. He had other friends. Charlie's response on books seemed very half-hearted to Sean. Sean loved reading, as 90% of Athena children do, but he was one that could read English almost as easily as Greek. Some of his siblings had envied him for this ability, but it wasn't something Sean found extremely amazing. Books had always been Sean's way of escaping whatever was going on, whether it be his father dying or being on the streets; the one place Sean had always been welcome while homeless was the library in Portland. He wasn't allowed to sleep there or anything, but he could read all he wanted, as long as he wanted. It was any child of Athena's dream come true when in a situation like that. Though, most libraries felt small to Sean now, in comparison to having the entirety of the Portland City Library at his will.
Sean laughed as Charlie bounced up and did a cartwheel, pulling him from his thoughts on books. "I understand. ADHD." he smiled. As he watched her, he couldn't help but think, She is so insane in the best possible way.
Running was never Sean's favorite, but yeah, he supposed he could run. "Yeah, not often, but sometimes." he shrugged. When Charlie smiled while waiting for his response, Sean raised an eyebrow, "What's so funny? Is it my hair? Cause I swear I brushed it this morning. No, wait, it's my nose. It's really weird." Sean said quickly, pretending to freak out, though if there really were something wrong with him, he'd want to know. Looking bad in front of Charlie was dead last on his list of "things I ever wanna do." Sean tucked his legs up to his chest and rested his chin on his knees as he looked at the building surrounding them. Aimlessly, Charlie pointed and flexed her feet. "Oh, right." She smiled. "I always forget that I'm not the only one with ADHD here." Charlie had often gotten into trouble in human school because she couldn't sit still. Even here she felt a little more ADHD then others. Maybe that was because her Dad was on of the big three. Whatever the reason Charlie had a difficult time sitting still.
"We should run together sometime." Charlie said. "It'd be fun." Then she responded to Sean's fake freakout. "Don't worry, you look amazing." She chuckled. Then she blushed, realizing what she'd said. "I mean..." She laughed nervously, "You're hair and nose are perfect- I mean fine. They're fine." Oh god, Charlie, you sound like an idiot. Her inner monologue said. Charlie smiled and looked away for a moment. Playing with her camera.Word Count: 152 (Without code.)

Sean nodded, "It'd be fun." he smiled and blushed when Charlie complimented him, then tried to fix her compliment. "It's fine." he laughed, "Thanks."
Sean's brain began working overtime trying to make sense of Charlie's compliment, Did she really mean that? Or was she being nice? Why am I even worried? Because you always worry when a girl compliments you, that's why. his brain was running a mile a minute, but he couldn't help it. Just admit it to yourself Sean! that voice in his head screamed at him, but he fought against it, Never, because it's not true.
Sean just smiled and ran his fingers through the grass. He pulled some up on accident and chuckled, "Demeter's not gonna be too happy about that." Word Count: 151 Notes: Short, sorry. I've spent 2 days trying to reply to this!
