Andee stood in the deserted archery range, preparing to shoot an arrow. Her opponent? A target she had made the previous night. Her goal? To get an arrow through the miniscule circle that was in the middle of the target. She stood parallel to it from a mere 30 yards away, in the position her brother had taught her long before, and she concentrated, thinking of all the steps and tips her siblings had given her over the years.
Then, in just a small, yet quick movement, the arrow had been released. It soared through the air, and naturally hit the center of the target. From the distance, Andee couldn't make out where it had hit, but as she grew closer, she realized that she had finally reached her goal. "Yes!" Andee had screamed in a glee-like manner as she pumped her fist in the air . She then broke into a run to retrieve her arrow so she could try it again.
A couple moments later, and Andee was back in her same spot once again, bow and arrow in hand, in a ready position. She let go of the arrow, whih had once again hit the bull's eye. Beginner's luck, Andee thought to herself as she plucked the arrow out of target.
Andee continued doing what she had done all afternoon. She had paused at one point to think about what she needed to work on, but otherwise continued shooting the same arrow, then running across the range to retrieve it. It was one of those weekends where you couldn't find anything else to do, so you just went around and did random stuff to kill time. And that's exactly what Andee was doing. It was Saturday, and everybody normally had something to do on Saturdays. She didn't do it for practice, but did it to kill some time because she didn't want to do schoolwork, let alone read. Procrastination. It was how Andee lived her life, and continued to live it.

John woke with a start, dreams of an imagined apocalypse spiraling through his head. He barely managed to contain the yell that had built up slowly over the course of the dream, realizing this was his reality. He slowed his breathing, feeling the sweat on his forehead from thrashing in his sleep. Great. he thought. I'm starting to have dreams about the stories I read. I need to get that under control, and soon. Slowly he swung his legs of the bunk, careful not to wake the black lab curled on the floor beneath him. Looking outside, he sighed as he realized that it was still early in the morning. John knew he couldn't go back to sleep after that. He gently woke Sheila (the dog), so that he would have some company. He looked over at his bedside table to make sure everything was still there after his thrashing during the night. Glass of water, check. Book, check. Lamp, check. He smiled and picked up the book, reading the Ancient Greek symbols quickly. The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. That sounds fine to read. He thought, asking Sheila to follow and walking down to the archery range. He sat in the grass at the edge of the field, opening his book and once again living the life of Frodo the hobbit. This was one of John's favorites. Mortals could have such good ideas. That is, considering that they're mortal. he thought. Just then he heard a thunk, and looked up. At the far end of the range was another student, one of Apollo's kids by John's reckoning. It looked like she had just nailed the target. He gently closed closed his book so as not to disturb the lone archer. She was using the same arrow, but hitting the bulls-eye again and again. Even Sheila sat up from where she had been laying and began to watch, the sun reflecting off her pure black fur. She really was very good, at least in John's opinion. If he was lucky he could hit the side of a barn from three feet away. He closed his book slowly and stood up from his spot, Sheila following suit with a cat-like stretch. He began walking towards the area of the archery range where the kid from Apollo was retrieving her arrow. "Hello. You're a very good shot," he said, moving to a halt a few feet away from her. "How did you get so good?" Word Count: 437 Muse: The wonders of birds chirping in the trees and computers humming. Notes: Is it okay if I join?

While Andee was retrieving her arrow to run back to her beginning point and once again shoot it at the target, she had the weird feeling that there was another presence. She scanned the archery range, then saw a boy. Andee immediately guessed he was about 16 or 17, but then again, she knew that she shouldn't be making assumptions on appearances. This was especially true to her. "Hello. You have a very good shot. How did you get so good?" he asked her. Andee gave him a small smile, one that she normally gave to people that she had just met. "Thanks, I bet you can do better though," she had responded. She then shrugged at the question. "I used to suck at archery. My brother's have sorta taught me over the past couple of years the basics, and from there I just improved. I'm usually not this lucky,"Andee glanced down at the black lab, smiling at her. Andee was more of a dog person than being a cat person, since cats were just basically boring. Dogs were playful and very entergetic, though they seemed to know when you were exhausted, and would normally cuddle you when you were. Andee bent down and stuck out her hand for Sheila to sniff so she could know that Andee was safe, and end up not getting her face bitten off from the dog. Though it wasn't likely for it to happen, Andee still wanted the black lab to get to know her, and know she was safe first. "She's cute, ya know. I love dogs, I had one back in Indiana, but when I moved here, my aunt wanted to keep her, so I couldn't bring her," she said to John, glancing up at him, then shrugging. "I'm okay with it though, since my cabin is filled with other animals," Andee gently patted Sheila's head, and scratched behind her ears, smiling at the lab. She then smiled up at Jonathan, realizing that she never really talked to him before, let alone see him around the academy. But then again, she hadn't been at the academy long, so getting to know new people was part of the experience, right? Quit smiling at him and say something, her conscience told her. "I'm Andee, by the way. Andee Sweden, daughter of Apollo. What about you?" she asked after a moment. Words: 426 Muse: She got excited when she saw the dog Notes: It's fine dearie, go right ahead~ (:

John smiled as the girl began to pet Sheila. He could even tell what Sheila was going to tell him, and he hit the mark perfectly.
You know, I think she's pretty alright John. Sheila told John, and he smile. Sheila always said that about dog lovers. She was very consistent in her habits. With a smile John replied.
"You always say that." Then he turned to talk to the girl from the Apollo Cabin. " She can speak in my mind, and she said she like you because you were petting her." After a growl from Sheila, John amended his statement. "Well, minus the last part, but she always says that about dog lovers."
Then the girl, Andee, asked his name and gave hers. John thought for a moment before responding. She didn't seem like the kind of person who would shun him just because he was the child of a titan. You could never tell until you told them though. With a proud smile on his face, John replied.
"Jonathan Bradley. Son of Prometheus."
He quickly glanced at the ground, not wanting to see her face. The cobble stones would be a better version of scenery than an angry face if she was angry at him because of his parentage. She probably would be angry. They all were. Sure, they trained him, were the children of the rulers of the Earth. But that didn't mean they were polite. They played tricks on him. They sneered at him behind his back.
Even the gods were rude to him. If Apollo had anything to do with it, which he did, John would never hit a target with a bow and arrow, let alone the bulls-eye. Ares let him swing a sword the right way, but that was because he thought demititans would be a good way to start a few wars on Olympus. Ares wanted them to look like they could do at least a little damage, to make them more suspicious.
John looked back at Andee's face, half afraid of what he'd find there. Don't worry John, she doesn't seem to be mean. She did like me after all. Sheila told John. John replied with a swift pet behind the ears to get Sheila to lose focus and stop thinking to him.

Tristan almost laughed. Some of his biggest pet peeves had been tripped here!
1. American Rednecks. Indiana was about as far central as you could get, without being Kansas. Cornfields and nice people galore, but not a book for miles.
2. Titan shame: Gods, just because they're ruling now, should not be the only ones to have children. Without this boy's father, mankind would not exist, and gods would have to find other playthings.
3. Archery. Such a stupid sport!
He walked up, grabbing a bow just for show, and spun it around in his fingers. It wasn't strung, so now it was only a stave.
"Did you say Prometheus?" he said, knowing his sing-song Welsh accent was both relaxing and weird. "I'm your cousin, then. Tristan Tynan, son of Epimetheus. The forgetful one."
Most would be worried about punishment from the gods, for an insult like that, but his dad would probably forget to dole it out, or be too lazy to care.
"Our parents are opposites, but they both got punished. My dad had to marry a complete idiot, which made things rather hard for him an my mum. Your's? He got chained to a rock, didn't he? Still, not the point. We shouldn't be ashamed, man. It's a legacy!"
Or something. Damn, that sounded pretentious and dramatic. Something fit only for "THIS. IS. SPARTA!" or something.
His mind turned, as always, to his lovelife. The guy was alright, but obviously straight. The Sweden girl? There was a British saying about people from Sweden and their chest size. Still, she was like 15, WAY too young for him and his eighteen years.
Ugh. He needed something more than friends. He'd heard a rumor lately, about some Enya girl. She was s'posed to be wicked, but he hadn't been introduced, yet. He should get that done.
Or at least get someone done!

Andee smiled down at Sheila when the guy named John told her that she could hear him through his mind. "That's cool, ya know...how you can talk to her with your mind. I can only talk to rats...I mean mice, snakes, wolves...I'll be honest, I don't think my dad had his children in mind when he was choosing his sacred animals," she said, giving him a small smile.
John finally introduced himself proudly, and then Andee watched as he started to look around at anywhere but her face. She frowned slightly--not from anger, but from confusion. ...Who the heck was Prometheus? Was he...or she, a goddess? A monster? A titan? A Roman god or goddess? Andee knew only the basics, since she was never really much interested in studying, but it never meant that she wouldn't listen if she met somebody. Knowledge was always good, right?
Another guy came springing out of nowhere, and immediately started talking to John about something with Prometheus, forgetfullness, and...Epithemeus. Wait, who? The newcomer introduced himself as Tristan, and went on about something about John and Tristan's parents or something. Andee tuned them out for a moment, trying to rack her brain to remember anything about what in Hades name they were talking about, and came up with nothing. Damn boring history classes that she would tune out during the lectures.
"Uhm...no offense to you," she started, gesturing towards Tristan, "But I'm about to ask a somewhat dumb blonde question. I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but who's Prometheus and Epithemeus?" she asked the two boys. "And I'm Andee, by the way. My dad's Apollo," she said, smiling at the two older boys. She didn't mind being younger, nor did she mind being smaller, she was pretty much used to it. Especially when her siblings were all ranging from sixteen to nineteen, and were all nearly a good foot taller than her. She didn't mind of course -- she liked being an illegal midget.
Words: 363 Muse: Bleck -_- Notes: I will admit, dude-who-plays-Tristan, I was at first a bit insulted from what Tristan said about Indiana *ish a Hoosier*, but when I read it again, I realized how true it was if you put store at the end of book. xD

Tristan smiled. It wasn't the first, nor the last time people would be confused.
"Prometheus was the Titan who made mankind out of clay. Actually, both Prometheus and his brother Epimetheus were told to do it, but Epimetheus screwed up. Then, later, Prometheus decided to steal fire for the humans, which earned him eternal torture until Heracles came to free him. You know Pandora? That was my stepmom."
He grinned again, leaning on his bow. Wait; maybe he should have left the other dude to say something? He gestured to him, and said,
"Hey, don't be afraid to fill in the gaps to my shoddy memory... and you know, Andee; I'm like the most epic dumb blonde in existence. Your power might be the sun, for all I know. Mine? I can forget things and make up excuses. Awesome, right?"
The lat part was dripping with sarcasm, and he let it. He wasn't bitter over his bad luck, but he did wish he could do something cool, like heat vision or make people forget.spank me hard, maybe he should try that!
On second thought, he doubted it would work. Anyway, his 'mental notepad'; where he put thoughts he had to do, for example meet Enya, was constantly being erased and forgotten.
He couldn't keep a thought in his head for longer then twenty minutes, usually. Thanks a bunch, dad. he thought wryly.
Words: 244 OOC:spank me hard, you're really from Indiana? Cool! My mom is from there!

Enya pushed herself off the tree trunk she was standing on, flinging herself through the air as she quickly shot out her hands and grabbed another tree branch. She kept her feet straight as to keep her balance and refrain herself from dropping to the ground far bellow. Swinging her feet back n' forth she gave herself some momentum before once again twisting herself into the air. She crossed her arms across her chest as she twirled twice upside down before finally turning upright and landing squarely on her feet.
She breathed in and out evenly a few times before starting her jog once again, pressing the play button on her ipod and lifting her Hood up. She listened to the beat of the music, focusing her eyes forward as she jumped and pushed her foot off a tree, swiftly landing on the other side of a large puddle in her path. A drop of water left untouched. She ran her way out of the forest area, following the curve of the Court Yard as she passed the Arena, Lake, Library, and some other places. Keeping to the fast pace of her music, slightly mumbling the words to herself as she turned the corners. Hopping and weaving through crowds, not touching even a hair on anyone as she passed.
She felt her feet slow to a walk as she entered a grassy plain, the archery range as she last recalled it. There was a small array of targets lined across one side of the field, large containers filled with bows and quills filled with arrows on the opposite side nearly thirty to forty feet away. She looked around the empty area, wondering where all the Apollo children and Huntresses must be on a day like this. Enya looked across the field again, about to take the turn that lead to the dorms before seeing a small group of people on the far side of the shooting range. Two boys, a dog, and.. Andee? Andee Sweden?.. She felt a jolt of joy appear across her features and she quickly pulled down her hood, unplugging her headphones before she started jogging toward them. Feeling it a little too slow for her liking seeing as they were quite a distance.
"ANDEE!" she called out, cupping her hands around her mouth to try and propel her voice so it could reach her. She shook her head when it didn't make an effect, closing her eyes and thinking about where she wanted to be before feeling that familiar tingling move from her head to her toes. Turning her into ash-like golden ambers as they fluttered across the long distance, solidifying just two feet away from where Andee was standing. She could still feel the smile across her face and didn't hide it away like she normally would when it came to friends. "Andee! Andee Sweden!, It's me- Enya!" She walked the short few steps and pulled her into a huge hug, not realizing that there were other people there. She was too glad to see a familiar face around here, especially one who she'd known for quite a while.
"How've you been? Hows your siblings? I can't believe you're here!" she found herself saying so much so fast that she had to ketch her breath. "Sorry.. didn't mean to come over and go crazy on you" she spoke a bit softer now, with a small content smile. Enya turned and looked at the two people who were now standing there awkwardly, "Oh- uh.. hi. Sorry i interrupted you guys.. I just came to see Andee.. I'm Enya by the way- Enya Valerious" she spoke hesitantly but in a greeting way. Trying not to freak them out or anything. Or any more then she already had.

"Okay, so you guys are both demi-Titans?" was Andee's first initial reaction. She didn't mean for it to sound rude, nor did she mean to just blurt it out. She blushed slightly. "Sorry, I think it's cool honestly. Me, I just have a boring Olympic god as a father, which most kids don't get to say, but still, it's pretty much just typical! You guys must get different reactions depending on the person you're talking to though. I know it wasn't your fault that you have to have Titans as parents, and it's awful that people...discrminate against you just for your parents. Then again, people can be ignorant, but if the world was filled with smart people, then the place we live on wouldn't be very much fun, now would it?"
Andee then realized how off-topic she was getting, and finally just shut up, plucking the arrow she had been using as entertainment all afternoon out of the target. It's shining gold made it shimmer in the sunlight. She heard her name come from Tristan, and glanced up to hear him finish his statement. Andee giggled at him. "I tend to be forgetful as well, so you're not alone here. Some of my siblings are light manipulators, some are healers some are muscians, some are archers, but I'm...I guess I'm just the singer in the group," she shrugged. "But no, my power isn't the sun. Good guess though," she smiled at Tristan.
Then a second (literally, a second later), she heard her name be called again. This time by a much higer voice than Tristan's or John's. Before she could identify who it was, she heard her name be called again, then the person identified themselves as Enya Valerious. "Enya!" Andee screamed, running up and hugging Enya as she did the same.
"How've you been? Hows your siblings? I can't believe you're here!"
Andee couldn't help but laugh at Enya's craziness. After all, she was crazy, but it was a good crazy that most people would grow fond of. Answering in the same quickness, she answered, "I'm good! And they're good! What about you and your siblings, hm? I can't believe YOU'RE here, and I haven't seen you all this time!" She paused as Enya spoke. "It's alright," she told her, then turned to John and Tristan again. "Enya, this is Tristan and John, sons of Epithemeus and Prometheus. Guys, this is my friend Enya, she's a daughter of Hephaestus and can burn you to bits if you're not nice!" Andee said with a laugh.

John was a bit confused. First this Tristan comes up, talking about how they were cousins or something like that. Then Andee asks who Prometheus and Epimethius are, but before John could open his mouth Tristan explains pretty much everything. He invites John to fill in any gaps. "Well, Prometheus also stole civilizing arts for the humans, but it's rarely mentioned." John said, glad that at least he could show some of his knowledge. "Epimethius was supposed to give mankind a special attribute, but he ran out because he forgot about them while working on the animals. So Prometheus did both things while Epimethius was married to a creation of Hephaestus. for his forgetfulness." With a shrug, John added one last bit. "But by all accounts, Pandora was very pretty. I wouldn't feel to sorry for Epimethius for that punishment." Right as John finished his little history lesson, a few coals blew up near Andee. With a little flash they solidified, a girl appearing and hugging Andee. Andee seemed to know the girl, who was apparently named Enya. John stood shocked for a moment, amazed that this girl could turn herself into coals. After a moment his shock turned to embarrassment though, as the two girls began to start asking about how the other was doing and things like that. He felt out of place really, since neither girl acknowledged the two boys standing their for a good while. Finally the two girls remembered Tristan and John. Andee introduced them, while Enya started apologizing, saying why she had come. Andee jokingly said not to annoy Enya, saying that Enya could burn us to bits. John smiled, but there was a hint of amazement in his eyes. This demigod had so much power! It was surprising, since she probably wasn't a child of one of the big three. Hephaestus most likely, but a very powerful child of Hephaestus. Andee confirmed these thoguhts, bringing a small smile, his little smile when he guessed something correctly, to John's lips. "Nice to meet you Enya. And it's no problem! Always nice to meet another student here," John said, his smile widening to one of greeting. Trying to contain his amazement, he added with a bit of awe in his voice, "Your power is amazing. It's a past time of mine to learn about all the different powers people have, and I've never seen one that lets you turn into something else." John began to direct his words at Tristan. "And I must say, I haven't ever heard of such a negative trait passed down. The worst is usually an unrealistic amount of pride." John's cheeks flushed a bit, realizing he was rambling. "Sorry, I tend to get caught up in a subject, and I just try to explain everything. Sometimes the links are a bit vague, so I have to point them out, making it longer..." John trailed off, realizing he was starting to ramble even more, about a more boring subject. Word Count: 507 Comments/Other: Sorry it took a while to reply. Also, hi Tink! Tristan blinked, jumped, and looked over at Enya. A minute ago, he'd merely been thinking about her, and now, she had appeared in a flash of sparks. He blinked again before smiling.
"Hello, I'm Tristan."
He grinned, both to show that he wasn't sulky and at the immediate flow of compliments and even come-ons at Enya's appearance.
He decided not to join in, but to be the cool Brit in the background. He refused to let on his surprise to Enya's appearance, but he hoped she wasn't hoity toity, or at least that her hyper and crazy behavior translated into bed.
No, he was moving too quickly; though her voice was soft and silky, and she was incredibly hot, she was probably not going to be an easy lay. Fine, that was fine; he needed a relationship, badly. Not for one minute did he consider that she would not like him, or at least agree to a one-night stand.
He did realize, however, that he had completely cut the Prometheus kid out of his own conversation, and while he felt bad about it, there was nothing he could do.
"An unrealistic amount of pride"
Was he talking to Tristan? Really? No, Tristan did not merely have an unrealistic amount of pride; he had the worst memory in existence, and he was wasteful, useless, and bad with making things.
"Please, don't talk about things you don't understand. Me, for example. Just because you have never seen a negative trait passed down does not mean that there has never been one. Take Athena kids; they're all afraid of spiders."
He wasn't angry, but annoyed at this kid who thought he knew Tristan.

Enya smiled as she listened to Andee introduce her to John and Tristan, she made her features comforting and patient as she watched them talk. "It's nice to meet you as well, and yeah it's not very common- shape shifting heheh, i hear there’s a daughter of a nymph i think that can turn into trees or something.. i don't know.. I can do a lot of stuff with my fire.." She replied to John, shrugging her shoulders when she didn't know the answer to her own statement.
She was flattered at the admiration she could feel coming from him, but prevented the blood from entering her cheeks so she wouldn't blush. The warmth of the three peoples' blood pressure was radiating with happiness, admiration and.. Sensuality? is that what she sensed coming from the Tristan boy? She could hear his British accent thick in even just the two words he had uttered. “Hello..” she found herself responding with a hint of her odd Irish-Romanian accent barely noticeable. She was unable to hide a bit of the blush that fluttered across her cheeks.
She chose to look up at him when John and Andee weren't looking; He was promptly looking straight at her. She didn't turn and look away from him though; instead she took this to her advantage and examined him. He had blondish brownish (she couldn't actually place it) hair and was medium build, how he stood gave off a sense that he thought a lot of himself possibly. And by the reaction to John’s statement- he didn’t like know-it-alls. She felt herself smirk at his reaction, biting down on her bottom lip to prevent from giving herself away. She felt a twinge of embarrassment coming from John and smiled at him reassuringly, he was kind of adorable in a way. In the sense that he rambled like you wouldn’t believe… but he couldn’t help that and that’s what made it adorable.
This made her wonder about her own bad traits that were passed down to her. Enya always had an empathic power to feel others emotions around her by the temperature they gave off; she could literally sense their emotions. It helped a lot in battle and gave her her own thermal reading about where people were. Because once they were close enough to her- it gave away their hiding place.
She thought of it as a good and bad trait, if there was too much anger or sadness or too much of a mixture of emotions floating around a room it could make her sick to her stomach and she would have to leave the room or else things my ketch fire. It had only happened once before- and she felt bad for the poor stool at the pub she was at.. burst right into flames and turned to ash within seconds. She thought it as a bit of a world record. Seeing as it takes some time to turn to ashes usually..
“Yeah, have you ever seen an Athena child jump fifteen feet in the air? And then pull out a sword that I’ve made for battle but used instead to kill a spider… I have. Funniest thing to watch.. Especially when their all together. And you’ve just let out a box of spiders into the common room…” Enya commented on what Tristan said, trying to break the tension a bit. She felt a bit of the silence and put her fist to her lips, coughed out what looked like a bit of smoke on it as if she just breathed fire. She didn’t like awkward silence.. and to break the tension a wee bit more- she slid her hand over and poked Andee right in the tickle spot with a devious expression.

Andee zoned out after Enya had shown up, thinking about what she had said to her a moment ago. How were her siblings? She hadn't talked much to them since she had shown up...maybe she should talk to them, catch up on what they've been doing. Not at this moment though...maybe afterwards though? Andee decided to go with that, and made it into a promise to herself. She then heard something about spiders and Athena kids.
"Huh? What about spiders?"
The range grew eerily silent afterwards. An awkward silence was placed over the four of them. It was, to say the least, awkward. Enya coughed out a bit of smoke, which didn't seem to help much to ease the atmosphere. Andee cleared her throat, though she didn't say anything. She didn't know what to say. Awkward silences weren't one of her strong points. She didn't like them, but she didn't like breaking them either.
The next moment, Andee felt someone jab at her tickle spot. She squealed in surprise, then broke into a fit of giggles. "Enya!" Andee exclaimed to the girl. "Don't do that, that tickles!" she said a moment later, then laughed again. Well, there was one way to break a silence. Though as quickly as the noise started, Andee's laughs soon faded, and the silence draped over again. ...Lovely, another awkward silence, Andee thought to herself.
"So...erm...," Andee said, trying to think of something to say to them. "Erm...instead of just standing around here in silence, why don't we...ya know, go do something?" she suggested. She then glanced at Enya, then poked her in the tickle spot. "What do you think we should do?" she asked her with a smirk.
