Levi felt drawn to the beach. He didn't know why that was, he had no real memory of his childhood and any memories he did have were with Lupa. The she-wolf was the only thing he had towards the parent sort of thing. Lupa had told him that she had even trained his mom. It surprised even him that his mom was a demi-god like he was. Maybe one day he'd be able to see her again and remember things about her. some times when he slept he dreamed about his mom, at least he thought it was her. He couldn't be certain about that. Before the second legion, he had no one. Levi had briefly met his dad and while he felt like he had to live up to his dad's expectations, he didn't owe Mars anything. If anyone deserved his respect it was Lupa. He looked at the dog tags around his neck and he gingerly picked them up in his palm. On it was his birthday and SPQR written on it. It mirrored his tattoo on his forearm. every year he got another stripe on his arm, he received another stripe on his dog tags. There were a ton of stripes there already but sometimes it seemed like all it was to live for was just another stripe.
Levi removed his high tops and tied the shoestrings together and tossed it around his neck. the sand felt great in between his toes. It was eerily familiar. Almost like he had deja vu. He walked around the beach, dragging his feet in the sand intentionally, leaving behind wide tracks of his feet. The water lapped up on his feet. It was extremely cool and felt great on his warm skin. It had been a rough day of practice and his muscles ached. Going for a dip in the ocean seemed like a hell of a great idea. He was already wearing a pair of shorts so he would only have to dry off before it got a bit cold out. Levi pulled his tee-shirt over his head and tossed it in the sand along with his shoes. He did how ever keep his dog tags on. he never went any where without it. It was important and one of the only things that his father had given him. It turned into a huge two handed sword of imperial gold. A rather important piece of equipment that was needed to slay monsters.
One foot went into the water and Levi shuddered. The water was frigid and cold, nearly making him curl up to keep warm. He took a deep breath before diving under the water. The water almost made him loose his breath but he surfaced. The salt water reminded Levi of a home he never really knew. After about a hour of swimming, Levi waded back to shore. He shook himself off like a dog. It was really cold out of the water. He took his tee-shirt and tossed out the sand. It made the perfect towel for the moment. Things were great and Levi was totally at ease. The ocean was just something that he felt compelled to be at. It was almost as if he was a son of neptune instead of Mars. But there was no doubting his parentage in the least when it came to battle. There were times that Levi wished that he could remember the battles that he took part in, other times there was no way he wanted to remember things he did.

A bunny was not something that Odette would have expected the first day back at school but it was waiting for her nonetheless. As soon as she had stepped into the Hephaestus residence, a satyr had come calling with cage and had told her that this bunny was hers. It had baffled Odette, because as far as sacred animals were concerned a bunny had never cropped up in the legends concerning her father. She had immediately as who it was from but the satyr didn't offer up any details. All it did was tell her that this was the same bunny that Paul had tried to kill at the start of the school year and that it was her responsibility now. Looking at the bunny as it moved around the cage and twitched it's little nose, Odette hoped that it didn't have a tendency to turn into a horrible beast at night and have her for supper.
Having an unexpected pet was a little daunting through. Odette not only had to unpack but she had to clean her room as well. Making sure that the floor was free of any wood shavings and metal shavings and other things that could be potentially harmful to the rabbit, she let it out. "Why in the world did they get the idea that I would want a bunny?" She asked it, though the bunny didn't have any answers. "If any Hephaestus kid should be your new owner it should be Paul. It was his bed you made a mess on..." Odette trailed off remembering that Paul had tried to roast this particular bunny alive and had trashed the dining pavilion just to do so. "Oh well..maybe that's why you came to me." She shooed the back into it's cage, thoughts about the dining pavilion reminded her that she should go and see if she could get something to keep the bunny fed. Odette was out the door when she decided to take the scenic route and stop by the beach, if she was lucky maybe she'd run into Ariel.
She was walking along the beach when Odette found out that she was right on the money when it came to the bunny being hungry. However she quickly learned why the satyr had given it over to her care. It had chewed a hole though the bars of the cage and while Odette was staring after it stunned, it was happily hopping away down the beach. She closed her gaping mouth, only to close it again and shout to a figure down the beach.
"Hey!spank me hard! Stop that bunny!"

Levi had finally shook himself dry and had plopped down on the sand, stretching out and sunning himself like a lizard on a rock in the last rays of the sun. His skin was already pretty tan and he figured it was part of his heritage as far as his skin color went. He let out a small sigh of contentment, looking up as the clouds still slowly meandered by. Life was good and the only thing that might make this better was a frosty cold energy drink and a sandwich. Levi could admit when things were great, simple things always were the best. He looked up at his dog tags as he dangled them in front of his face. He remembered the biker, his dad, and how he had 'saved' him from a flock of harpies. Though in retrospect the god could have taken care of the harpies without Levi stepping in and the thought of actually saving a god was rather ludicrous. Still the thought made him smile, but that's what the beach was good for. washing away the rough edges and giving him plenty of time to think and reflect about what he needed to think about. But now he was starting to get a bit antsy and sand was getting in his boxers. Levi couldn't help but frown. Sand always got into the most annoying places and it made the worst itch that was damn near impossible to get rid of. Maybe later tonight he'd head to the roman baths and take a nice soak.
Suddenly a rather fuzzy mass landed on his stomach. He grunted and shot strait up, sending sand going in every direction. Looking at him was a rather adorable looking bunny, twitching his nose at Levi. He picked the bunny up and saw a girl yelling at him to catch it. Levi turned towards the girl and started to head down towards her with the bunny in his hands. Some things were really adorable and this bunny happened to be one of them. His trudging in the sand saw the girl that had been running with the bunny. She was rather pretty looking but he didn't know her name or anything. He might have seen her around somewhere but he just didn't know where it was. "Did you loose this cute and fuzzy ball of adorableness?" He asked as he held the bunny up for the girl to take. The bunny continued to twitch his nose.
Levi felt the waves lap up over his feet as he continued to squish his toes in the sand. It always felt nice to squish things between his toes... just don't ask him why he felt like that. "I'm Levi." He offered up his name to the girl with the bunny. He played with his dogtags in a rather distracted manner, it was just something that he always did when he was bored or nervous. He looked at her, she had pretty eyes and a nice face, something that with some half-monsters running around was a bit hard to come by. "So does this cute guy have a name?" Levi asked.

Lips turning downwards in a grimace, Odette watched as the rabbit jumped onto of the person she had been yelling at. For a moment she had a flashing mental image of the furball morphing into something with lots of teeth and claws. A vivid imagination? Actually no, it was a by product of spending a handful of years at the Academy and seeing lots and lots and lots of weird stuff happening. She had actually gotten a job as a lab assistant in the science building but had to quit again because of all the experiments that the Hecate and Circe children got up to. Odette picked up her pace though she was relived that the rabbit didn't seem to be transforming into anything any time soon.
Reaching the bunny, she saw that the person she had been yelling to was a boy. He must have been new at the Academy because Odette didn't think that she had seen him around before. "Er...actually no." She said, looking at the bunny as he held it out to her. She was really unsure of how she was going to handle it. It looked all innocent and cute now, twitching it's nose like that but..."It actually got out of it's carrier." She didn't want to alarm the boy and tell him that he was holding a metal eating bunny in his hands. Telling herself to not be a coward she took the bunny from him.
"I'm Odette. Thanks for catching him." Now wasn't really the time to make small talk but she didn't want to be rude. And has for the name of the bunny..."I've no idea really. I just got him today. I think one of my brothers would want to call him lunch though." She thought about Paul and then mess he had made in the dining pavilion. Speaking of food though, was that weird engine sounding noises coming from the bunny? Odette frowned a little as she looked at it and then back up at Levi noticing that the boy had started to finger his dog tags. Oh..metal..There had to be a reason why the bunny had jumped on him.
"Um..I don't think it's a good i-" Before she could finish her sentence the ball of fur leaped from her hands and launched itself at Levi again. Odette thought she saw it's mouth opening. "Duck!" She screamed as she dived after the bunny and then decided to add "But dont' kill it!"
