September was just finished with training sword fighting on a dummy. During that time, she had chipped the tip off her katana and needed it repaired. It was the first time it had ever chipped, and Seppie was ashamed at herself. After all, it was named after her father who had sadly passed a few years ago. Taking a deep breath, she walked towards the forge with sweat covering her brow. It wasn't far, the forge, but it was still far enough to make Seppie continue to sweat even after her armor was taken off and a new change of clothes.
Groaning to herself, Seppie looked at the broken katana in her hands.
"Man, I didn't mean to break it. I'm real sorry Mom. And Dad..." Seppie added, looking a bit sad at the ground. She knew that her father was safe (or at least she hoped) in the Elysian Fields. He would be blessed until she came to join him. Well, Seppie at least hoped her Uncle Hades would be lenient on her, despite all the nieces and nephews he had. Glancing again at the blade in her right hand, she held the broken tip in the left. Mentally smacking her face, Seppie resentfully walked in to the forge, where all the Hephaestus kids worked. She had never been here before, so all the loud noises, and somewhat smokey air was new and a but unnerving. Looking slightly disgusted at the work table, she was about to announce her arrival before there was a large slam on a table and several clinking metals falling off the table.
Knocking on a table gently, Seppie looked around to find someone to help with her broken blade.
"Hey! Anyone here?" She ventured tentatively forward, only to be nearly smacked by a rather large hammer. Leaning back instinctively, September held her broken katana in a defensive stance. "Hey!spank me hard! Watch it will ya? Jeez." she exclaimed. Glaring at the boy who had nearly knocked her head off, she realized that she knew him. Not name-wise, but she'd seen him around. The boy was tall, and maybe a year or two old than Seppie herself, but nonetheless cute and he seemed nice. Still holding out her sword, she growled, before banging it on the table. There was a bright light, and once it had faded, a broken spatula was in Seppie's hand, while the other was still digging into her left hand.
OOC: I think I rambled off a little bit. The TV was so distracting!

Richy had been at the school for a while now, but it still weirded him out beyond belief to be taking classes along side monsters, alright they weren't full monsters, and they weren't trying to eat him, for a change, but still old fears die hard.
He had been trying extremely hard not to be a scared little boy all the time, especially now that he was here, and his dad was watching. Which lead to a whole other set of problems. Most of the students at the Academy hadn't even met their godly parent, let alone take lessons from them. Some of the Ares kids gave him one hell of a time about being "daddy's little pet", in fairness Richy was able to hold his own, even summoning water from the lake clear across campus to drench the whole squad of goons.
On top of everything, Richy was painfully shy, and seemed to crush on every cute boy that crossed his path. A cute boy always managed to get him flustered, and usually do something stupid. Such was the case today.
Richy had been in sword training with that new Hades boy, Alex Scuro. Richy was on the offense doing ok, until Alex forced a counter attack that pretty much split Richy's shield in two, luckily missing Richy's arm by a hairs breath. And when he tried to discard the broken shield he managed to fling the pieces right into the face of some Aphrodite girl who immediately broke down crying, and when he turned to apologize Alex cracked him on the back of the knee sending Richy to dirt landing hard on his butt. Fortunately, no one was permanently damaged, other that Richy's pride that is.
Now he was taking the batter remnants of his shield and armor to the forge to see if one of those oh so clever Hephaestus kids might be able to repair them, that is if he didn't manage to trip over his own two feet if Leeland is working today.
"Ahhhhh Leeland," Richy almost swooned at the thought, "Gods, that boy is hot," He shook his head trying to clear it and he walked smack dab into a girl waiting at the counter.
"Oouuuuffffff 'msorry, ahem I mean I'm sorry, I should have been paying attention to where I was going." Richy rambled as he scooped up his scatter bits and pieces blushing fiercely. He looked up bashfully not daring to meet the girl's eyes.
"Umm so yeah, I'm umm uhh oh yeah I'm Rich Waters, but everyone calls me Richy, well not everyone, but a lot of people, mainly being my mama, and grams, well not exactly grams she usually calls me boy or knuckle head or something like that, butspank me hard that's grams for you, but yeah my dad, Pontos, he calls me Richy too. But that isn't to say he plays favorites or anything, I mean I barely see him or anything, unless of course I get in trouble in class, which doesn't happen very often, I'm a pretty good student...Yeeeeeeaaaaah, i should probably stop talking now...mama says when I get nervous all of my energy goes into my motor mouth, grams calls it something different, it's not very nice, but that's grams she's old fashioned and grouchy. So yeah shutting up now," It almost took a physical effort for Richy to make himself stop babbling like a lunatic. He was positive he made a complete and total fool of himself in front of Leeland and this girl.
"Smooth move ex-lax" Richy thought to himself groaning as he waited to see what would happen.

Jostled at the sudden impact of someone rushing into her, September immediately whipped around and held her fragmented sword out in front. It was an ingrained reflex, and it helped quite a bit most of the time. Hissing, she rapidly surveyed her surroundings and found a stammering boy standing a foot or two away from where she was. Squinting her eyes, September still held her broken katana out, wondering what he would do next.
"Oouuuuffffff 'msorry, ahem I mean I'm sorry, I should have been paying attention to where I was going. So yeah shutting up now,"
Nodding, Seppie realized who he was. Slowly, lowering her blade, she placed the tip and sword in her left hand while. "Oh, your Grandpappy Ponty's son? How's the old man doing? Oh, and I'm September Summers, daughter of Demeter. Nice to meet you, Richy." she said, extending her right hand for a hand shake. Glancing at Richy's arms, she noticed his shield was in pieces. September nodded grimly.
"Broken shield? I have a chipped sword. Stupid dummies. You know if anyone is here now? Maybe Lee is, but I haven't seen him around." September looked around again. Only smoke and distant noises of clanking chains and the fires in the forge. Sighing, she threw the two pieces of her blade on to a wooden table beside her. Once again there was a bright light; when it faded away, there was a spatula in two halves on the table instead. September banged the table in exasperation. Growling, she silently cursed herself. "God damn it! That can get so annoying sometimes. Why does it have to do that every time I throw it down? Thank the Gods it doesn't do that when I'm training for fighting."

Richy stood dumbfounded for a moment as he inwardly cringed waiting for the girl to tell him to buzz of, or flat out ignore him, that was pretty much the norm after all. But then she started to talk to him, really talk to him. It threw Richy for a loop, he was tempted to look around the room to make sure there wasn't anyone else she could be talking to. He managed a, "Uh um, he's fine," when she asked about his dad. Why did they always do that? Sure his dad was the head of the school, and Richy was one of his students, but still that didn't mean that they actually, you know, talked to one another or anything. "Broken shield? Oh yeah, no it wasn't one of the dummies, it was that new Hades kid, Alex. He sort of distracted then, then kinda split it in two. It's no biggie really, we do that kind of stuff all the time. He busts my shield, I bust someone's face with the pieces, you know the usual half-blood training stuff." Was he seriously trying to pull of a casual attitude about nearly losing an arm, with a girl? He didn't like girls, well he liked them just not in that way, and not enough to try and impress them or anything. He shook his head trying to sort out his thoughts, as well as indicating that he had no idea who was on duty today. "I hope it's Lee," he said almost to himself, turning bright red, hoping he hadn't been caught crushing on Mr Promiscuous himself. He was distracted by a blinding light, recognizing a busted up spatula sitting on the table when it cleared. "A spatula? Seriously? She brought a spatula to the forge to be repaired? What kind of weirdo is she? I suppose she is a daughter of Demeter, but still that doesn't really explain bringing a spatula to the forge..." Richy thought frowning, before he smacked his forehead with the palm of his hand. "OH it's a magic sword that TURNS INTO a spatula," He said putting one and one together, only to turn a deeper shade of red as he realized he had just spoken out loud. "Sorry ADHD, I get easily distracted," he blushed unsure if he could get any redder, why did have to be so awkward all of the time?! "Welllick my nostril sweet cheeks," came a suave voice from behind the counter. Weirdly both Richy and September squeaked out a, "Hi Lee," at the same time, where Richy learned he could in fact turn even redder as Lee gave him a sexy wink. Richy could have swooned right then and there, but then he remembered he wasn't alone, and it would look really bad for the son of the Head Master to faint in front of a girl because some gorgeous guy winked at him. "So kids, what can I do ya for?" Lee asked, his eyes going to the battered bits of the broken spatula on the table. "Hmm I see," Lee muttered as he picked up the pieces studying them carefully. Another blinding flash and there was a broken sword in Lee's hands. "This doesn't look too too bad, might require a little bit of tricky repair work, but I'm pretty sure we can get this fixed up by, oh say tomorrow afternoon, now since we already have this thing in pieces in there anything else I need to look at on it, these magical items can get kind of touchy if they haven't been serviced in a while?" He waited for September to finish before nodding and saying,"I think I'll still be able to do that and get it back to you by tomorrow afternoon. Until then, we've got a fine collection of loaner swords in the armory if you need a weapon before we're done repairing this one," Lee explained running his fingers all over the weapon like he was testing it for other flaws. "What about you Cute and Cuddly?" Lee asked Richy giving a smile that a shark would have been jealous of. Richy wanted to be all cool and say, "I busted up my shield training with a master swordsman, I'm pretty bad ass like that," but all he could think was "LEE CALLED ME CUTE!!!" so temporarily struck dumb and mute he held up the shield bits giving Lee a pitiful look. Lee chuckled as he took up the pieces of the shield examining them carefully. "Damn man, this thing has taken a beating, what did you do fight Ares? You must be pretty good, if you're in good enough shape to be here. At any rate, this thing will have to be completely reforged, soooo," he paused his big brown eyes meeting Richy's, which nearly sent the younger boy to the floor again. "What say we turn this standard issue Academy shield into something...a bit more...fun." Lee grinned "I've got a bunch of good ideas for this thing if you're interested, but the catch is, they have to be a surprise," "Ok-ay," Richy said, his voice breaking like a cheap fiddle. "When can it be done," he said after clearing his throat in an attempt to take back a little control of the situation," "How about tomorrow evening, why don't you drop by my place, say 7ish and I can show you what I've got...for you," Richy nodded dumbly looking over at September with a goofy smile. Maybe this day wasn't going to to be so bad after all. Word Count: 968 Muse: Richy is so cute and awkward Tags: September, anyone else Notes: Lee is so tormenting poor Richy, but it's so fun. September observed Richy as her sword turned into a spatula. He was frowning, and seemed to be quite confused of what had just happened. Giving a small chortle, she rolled her eyes. "Huh. He's giving me that look. It's not my fault he doesn't know what the crap just happened."
[/color] she thought to herself, still chortling softly. "OH it's a magic sword that TURNS INTO a spatula,"September couldn't help but give a small shake of the head while smiling. He was such an innocent boy and Seppie began to find him an adorable little guy. Patting his back gently, she nodded as if it was obvious what had happened. "Yea... Haha good job, bro." Sighing, she looked around. No one was here yet. No one to fix either of their stuff. September was about to leave the forge when she heard a familiar voice. "Welllick my nostril sweet cheeks," Oddly enough, September and Richy both squeaked in surprise and greeted Lee in unison. Glancing at Richy in confusion, Seppie shook her head before facing Lee. Smiling coyly, she gave a small wink at him. "Lee! Just the man I was looking for. Say, can you do me a solid fix up my sword? Those dummies are llamaed sometimes, y'know. Thanks. I owe you one." holding out her two halves, the spatula flashed again into a sword, as if it knew it was to be repaired. Lee took it and began to examine the blade, similarly to how a doctor examines his patients. "This doesn't look too too bad, might require a little bit of tricky repair work, but I'm pretty sure we can get this fixed up by, oh say tomorrow afternoon, now since we already have this thing in pieces in there anything else I need to look at on it, these magical items can get kind of touchy if they haven't been serviced in a while? I think I'll still be able to do that and get it back to you by tomorrow afternoon. Until then, we've got a fine collection of loaner swords in the armory if you need a weapon before we're done repairing this one," Lee explained. September nodded before groaning into her hands. "Whaaaaaat? Lee, you know I cannot deal with the loaner swords here. It just doesn't feel right. And I am sort of afraid that I'll break that blade too in frustration. I mean it's true. Is there any chance that you could fix it up sooner? Maybe tonight? Please Lee?" September pleaded. Gazing straight into his eyes, she made her best puppy dog face. Smiling only a little bit, September held her gaze for a little longer before realizing that Richy needed his shield repaired. "What about you Cute and Cuddly? Damn man, this thing has taken a beating, what did you do fight Ares? You must be pretty good, if you're in good enough shape to be here. At any rate, this thing will have to be completely reforged, soooo what say we turn this standard issue Academy shield into something...a bit more...fun. I've got a bunch of good ideas for this thing if you're interested, but the catch is, they have to be a surprise,"[/color] September watched Richy with amusement as he stood there, like a deer caught in headlights. He had such a dumbfounded expression on his face that she nearly burst out in laughter. Holding her mirth back, September waited for him to respond. "Ok-ay, when can it be done," Richy's voice became an octave higher than normal and it cracked. September raised an eyebrow, realizing what was happening. "So... he's got a lil' thing for Mr. Suave, does he...?"[/i] she thought to herself, smirking. Richy cleared his throat, as if to help himself try to bring his head back down to earth. "How about tomorrow evening, why don't you drop by my place, say 7ish and I can show you what I've got...for you," Richy nodded dumbly before grinning like a complete idiot at September. She smiled back and gave him two thumbs up. Stepping forward, she cleared her throat. "Haha, Richy! You lucky dog. Get to get some special goodies from Lee for your 'shield'. You're special, kid." she praised Richy, giving a small slap on his back. Running her hand through her hair, September looked at the clock on the wall. "Speaking about special goodies, are any of you guys hungry? Maybe you two can drop by tonight at my cabin for dinner. I can make anything you two want from scratch. Anything. No joke," September grinned. "Though my special spatula is in Lee's care, I think I can whip up something using a 'regular' one, heh." she joked. Backing away, she folded her arms across her chest and waited for their answers. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Though my special spatula is in Lee's care, I think I can whip up something using a 'regular' one, heh."
Richy was dumbfounded, no one except maybe Alex had invited him to visit their dorm before, he looked to Lee with nervous eyes as the older demigod smirked turning to September.
"You mean like the last time you and I had 'dinner' a your place?" Lee winked at Richy again sending the poor kids heart all a flutter again. "Why Sepie dear, I didn't know you were into that," Lee grinned wickedly, making Richy even more nervous. "I'll bring the chicken," Lee chuckled.
Richy was more confused now than ever, were they really going to have dinner at the Demeter House, or was something else going on? Either way Richy had no idea what to do, and didn't have a chance to even try to get things sorted in his head when another tall, dark and handsome face came through the door.
"Hey Richy, I'm really sorry about your shield, is there anything I can do to help?" Alex Scuro's eyes took in the scene noting Richy pale, yet ruddy complexion, September smile and Lee's leering grin, stopping the son of Hades in his tracks.
"Apparently not," Alex muttered turning toward the door.
"Alex! Wait!" Richy squeaked out silently cursing himself, and dreading who else might walk through the door, his dad maybe? "Oh gods! Don't let my dad show up!" Richy thought fervently.
"Um Alex, this is September, daughter of Demeter. She's here to get her sword fixed, that's Lee--"
"I know who he is,"Alex cut Richy off somewhat coldly. Richy groaned inwardly, it appears that Lee's reputation had reached his friend's ear even more quickly than most.
"Uh yeah, Lee is going to fix up her sword and my shield, and maybe put some extra bells and whistles in my shield," Richy rambled off looking like a scared rabbit. Alex, like Richy, was fairly new to this whole academy business, and being a son of Hades was typically and outcast, much like Richy tended to be. But the two of them had hit off fairly quickly and were actually very good friends, best friends, actually if Richy were honest, Alex was really his only real friend at school, at least so far.
For the most part Alex was pretty cool and easy going around Richy, but there were those moments when the son of the Underworld got especially dark and moody, Richy hated those moments, and was afraid that this little meeting might be headed in that direction.
"Uhh so yeah, thanks Lee, I'll drop by and pick up my shield tomorrow night. Uhhhh," Richy looked at September having a momentary brain freeze as he tried to remember what he was going to say to the girl.
"Oh yeah, did you need me to bring anything for dinner? I mean it's not like I'm old enough to get a bottle of wine or anything, although I'm sure Maxi would be more than happy to give me some if you really wanted me to bring some over. That kid is crazy! But if you, you know, humor him and pretty much talk his crazy talk with him, he'll give you just about anything you ask him for, except for that creepy bunny of his, but who would want to have that thing anyway..." Richy could feel Alex's cold stare on the back of his neck. They knew each other well enough for Alex to know exactly what was going on with Richy when he started rambling like a fool, which of course did nothing to settle his nerves in the least.
"Or you know I could talk to my dad and see if he'd let me bring some sushi or something, he can get kinda weird about eating creatures from his realm, cuz they're kinda like my siblings, weeeeeelll some of them are my siblings, but we don't talk about that. I asked him about it once, and yeah well, the whole New York Harbor and Long Island Sound were wracked with storms for weeks, Poseidon had to come over and talk to my dad, which wasn't fun. Daddy can be such a grump some times, but that isn't to say he's always like that..."
"STOP TALKING!!!" Richy though in a near panic, and yet he didn't seem to have the motor control to physically make himself stop talking.
"He's usually pretty cool, he has be over to his mansion in the sound like once a month, it's pretty cool in like and old person kind of way. Lots of cool underwater plants and creatures. Although, the inside of his house is kinda creepy, it's like he had my grams decorate it or something, I'm almost afraid to touch anything, cuz I always hear her voice saying, 'Silly boy, that is a priceless antique, don't touch it you'll break it,' but daddy never says anything like that, he usually just sits there quietly until I start to ramble, kinda like I'm doing now..." the feel of a cool hand on his shoulder helped Richy settle down a bit, and lay off the motor mouth for a bit. He blushed clear to the tips of his ears. He could be so incredibly awkward.
Word Count: 1001 Muse: yeah motor mouth strikes again tags: September, Alex, anyone else Notes: I just had to throw Alex in there, I thought it would be cool to kind of have a Nico/Percy style thing going with Alex and Richy. Alex felt miserable. He and Richy had been practicing their fighting techniques when Alex managed to cleave the younger boy's shield in two. He felt so bad about it. Richy was so much younger and smaller than Alex, that he felt bad for pressing his advantage, after all Richy was his friend and he hadn't wanted to hurt the poor kid. Strictly speak Alex hadn't hurt Richy, Richy managed that all on his own. Tripping over his own two feet, busting some annoying girl in the face with bits of the busted shield, and just generally being an awkward teenager.
Alex would have laughed if wasn't worried about hurting his friend's feelings. Richy had picked up the pieces of his shield and headed over to the forge with a kind of hang-dog expression on his face, it had never occurred to Alex that the shield might have been a gift from Richy's father until that moment, which made Alex only feel worse. He took out his frustration on some poor training dummy, the Stygian Iron obliterating the hapless dummy with ease, which really didn't help Alex's mood all that much.
"You know Alex," He spoke to himself out loud in modernish Greek, "You should go check on him, see if you can't help him fix things. Even if it wasn't a gift, you owe him that much, even more so if it actually was a gift," he got a few strange looks, but he was used to that by now. He was currently the only son of Hades at the Academy, having been hidden away by his father for a very long time before being brought to the Academy, and a true born Greek at that, none of which endeared him to too many people. He shrugged his shoulders fixing his face with a determined look and marched over to the forge.
He opened the door and speaking, almost as though he were rehearsing the lines to himself, "Hey Richy, I'm really sorry about your shield, is there anything I can do to help?" Alex Scuro's eyes took in the scene noting Richy pale, yet ruddy complexion, A girl's smile and the infamous Leeland Black Horse-Schmidt's leering grin, stopping the son of Hades in his tracks. Surely Richy was too smart to be involved in anything the that pervert was doing?
"Apparently not," Alex muttered answering his own questions as he turned around toward the door.
"Alex! Wait!" Richy squeaked out in that cute way his friend did when he was nervous. Alex sighed to himself, mentally preparing for the almost certain ordeal that awaited him.
"Um Alex, this is September, daughter of Demeter. She's here to get her sword fixed, that's Lee--"
"I know who he is,"Alex cut Richy off somewhat coldly.Alex was more than aware of the son of Hephaestus' reputation for "loving and leaving" countless demigods throughout the Academy.
"Uh yeah, Lee is going to fix up her sword and my shield, and maybe put some extra bells and whistles in my shield," Richy rambled off looking like a scared rabbit. Alex did not like where this was going. He scowled at Lee, concerned for his young friend's innocence. He could almost taste the nervous energy radiating off of Richy as he rambled away about some dinner date the girl, September, had invited both boys to. Alex eyed her warily, surely she knew Lee's reputation better than he did, what was she playing at?
He turned his icy stare back to Richy who was going headlong into full on motor mouth mode. Alex hoped that he would slow the boy down enough to get him to think before he went off of something completely out in left field. But it was no use, Richy's nervousness was far too great right now that he went from asking what he could bring to dinner, to what his father's undersea mansion looked like. Alex needed to put a stop to this run away train, before it turned into a terrible wreck that would leave Richy embarrassed beyond belief.
Alex sighed as he put a friendly hand on Richy's shoulder bringing the boy's rambling to a stuttering halt. "Relax Richy," he said quietly, his friend leaning into him for support.
"I'm sure that was all very fascinating and useful information, but we certainly wouldn't want to bore your new friend, Spetember was it?" Alex asked looking to the girl for confirmation. "She just met you, and I'm pretty sure she doesn't need to know your favorite color, food, shoe size, social security number, mother's maiden name, your grandmother's favorite handbag, your father's favorite tea and your address all at once," He gave the boy a small smile before turning to September.
"What time would you like our fishy-motor-mouthed friend to drop by, and would you like him to bring anything with him, I believe is what he was trying to ask before he got distracted by something shiny, or perhaps some..." he glared at Lee, "boy."
Alex gave her a genuine, if not entirely warm smile, "Excellent, we'll see to it he's good to go. It is a pleasure to meet you my dear," Alex offered September a handshake, before turning to the Hephaestus boy, "Leeland," he said coldly enough that ice could have formed if the forge hadn't been so hot to begin with.
"He shall see you then." Alex steered the red faced teen towards the door feeling like some overbearing brother, or worse yet, a parent, but he wasn't sure what else to do to help Richy over come his awkward nervousness, not that Alex was exactly a master at it himself.

September chuckled when Lee joked about bringing the chicken. "Lee! How could I forget? Some dumb ass Hermes kid screwed up the heat regulator valve and nearly set that chicken on fire. At least dessert was good," September elbowed Lee gently. She remembered that night. It was pretty fun, that night. Smiling at the memory, Seppie didn't realized a new kid had arrived into the forge until a shadow passed over her. Startled, she looked to see who the newcomer was. He was tall, with striking black hair. He seemed to be the kind of guy that stands at a distance and had a certain aloofness. September could immediately tell he was a child of her Uncle Hades. He exuded a shadowy and threatening demeanor like many of his half-siblings.
The boy walked in with confidence and he seemed to be studying everyone in the room, though his gaze turned especially cold when his eyes landed on Lee. September couldn't help but give an empathetic nod. He was quite a player, but a good friend as well. Keeping quiet, she watched the scene unfold. Richy was introducing everyone to Alex with such nervousness she began to fear for his health. Wasn't it dangerous for someone like him to have so much anxiety pent up inside his body? Giving Alex a suspicious look, she suppressed a groan as Richy's mouth began to go off yet again.
"Oh yeah, did you need me to bring anything for dinner? Although, the inside of his house is kinda creepy, it's like he had my grams decorate it or something, I'm almost afraid to touch anything, cuz I always hear her voice saying, 'Silly boy, that is a priceless antique, don't touch it you'll break it,' but daddy never says anything like that, he usually just sits there quietly until I start to ramble, kinda like I'm doing now..."
[/color] September waited patiently for him to finish talking which didn't seem to be anytime soon. Richy was about to open his mouth to speak again, but Alex seemed to understand the situation and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. Sighing with relief, she was about to speak but Alex cut in instead. "I'm sure that was all very fascinating and useful information, but we certainly wouldn't want to bore your new friend, Spetember was it?[/s] September nodded. "She just met you, and I'm pretty sure she doesn't need to know your favorite color, food, shoe size, social security number, mother's maiden name, your grandmother's favorite handbag, your father's favorite tea and your address all at once,"[/s] Letting out a light laugh, September bobbed her head in agreement. Alex didn't seem to be such an awful kid after all. "What time would you like our fishy-motor-mouthed friend to drop by, and would you like him to bring anything with him, I believe is what he was trying to ask before he got distracted by something shiny, or perhaps some...boy."[/s] September thought for a moment before replying, "Uhhh, 7:30 is fine, and if he could bring some... fish, maybe? Haha, I don't really know but if he could get something from Maxi, that'd be awesome. I don't care what but Maxi has amazing drinks for dinner. I think that's about it." September flashed a warm smile at the two boys. She could see Richy was blushing to an extreme. Alex and Richy turned towards the door and began to walk away. Seppie couldn't help but think about how adorable they looked together. Alex the mature and level-headed older brother with Richy, the hyper and nervous little brother. When they were almost out of sight, September raced after them. "Wait! Alex!" When she arrived, Seppie placed a hand on his shoulder for a moment. "If you want, you can come tonight too with Richy," Smiling at Richy, she looked at him for approval before flashing a thumbs up again. Turning back to Alex, she leaned in and whispered, "Y'know, to help Richy calm down a bit. I think it'll be a good idea for him to come with a friend like you. I mean, Lee doesn't really fit that area. If Richy came alone, I am worried of what might happen." She explained. Clearing her throat, Seppe stepped back and waited for Alex's answer. "So, whatcha say?"OOC: Okie Dokie Lokie [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Alex had guided Richy back out of the forge and towards the student housing, without mentioning any of Richy's nervous rambling or what September had managed to whisper to him before they left. Part of Richy was grateful for that, the other part of him was annoyed. He wasn't some little kid that needed looking after or protection from the harsh realities of the outside world. He wanted to be mad, or maybe pout, but some how he just couldn't bring himself to do it. Alex was just being his usual big brotherly self, and it wasn't a slight against Richy, he just cared about him, that was all.
Richy snuck a sideways glance at the boy trying to read his expression, not that he ever could.
"Hey Boo," Alex said quietly giving him a small smile. Richy flushed a little at that, he didn't like many people calling him that, and yet coming from Alex, who was proving to be his best friend, he was perfectly fine with it.
"A drachma for your thoughts," Richy asked quietly
"A drachma? You are way over paying for them. On a good day, they might be worth a penny at most," Alex put his arm around Richy's shoulder. "No my friend, the $64 question is, what's on your mind?"
Richy grinned, Alex could be so weird some times. He'd use slang or phrases no one else knew what they meant, well at least not any more at any rate.
"Everything and nothing all at once," He replied leaning into his friend's comforting embrace.
"I see. We'll it's a wonder your brain hasn't imploded yet." Alex teased mildly.
"I guess I'm excited and nervous about going over to September's for dinner..."
"And having to have a real conversation with Mr. Hot-pants himself," Alex murmured darkly
"We'll yeah, I mean he is the first cute boy to give me so much as the time of day since I got here, except for you of course," Richy blushed while Alex smiled some what amused.
"Well don't get too attached, he's one who will break your heart without a second thought. I've heard rumors about him, not all of them good. Some say he had to come here because he got some poor girl pregnant and ran for it. Some say he's here for special treatment for all the STDs he's got. There's even one rumor that he had a carnal relationship with a gopher...that's just disturbing,"
"Oh come on Alex, people talk crap about everyone else all of the time, it's not like it's true or anything." Alex just shrugged as they stopped in front of the Dionysus House. Richy reached up to knock on the door, only to have it fly open before he had a chance. A wild eyed very disheveled looking teen with a worn and battered stuffed rabbit tied to his neck stood at the door, his arms loaded with wine bottle.
"Eggbert says you can have these," he shoved the bottles at Richy and Alex, then slammed the door behind him leaving Richy and Alex standing there very confused.
"Well, cripes that was easier than I thought. I wonder what his deal was?" Alex muttered looking the bottles over.
"It's Mad Maxi, who knows," Richy replied getting a better grip on his gifts as they changed course towards the Pontos House, his house.
"Not bad, looks to be a good vintner and vintage, as crazy as that kid is, he sure knows his stuff. We've got some red, white wine, and even some campaign. Mortals would pay a small fortune for these if given half a chance," Alex mused following Richy inside.
"I think we'll take one of each so we have a little something for each course, if we don't end up drinking them there, we could always come back and get hammered later," Richy laughed a little nervously, which brought a quirked eyebrow to Alex's face.
"Anyway..." Richy said trying to shift gears. "What exactly does someone where to a dinner party? I mean we are still at the school, and it's just the what, four of us? It can't be too fancy can it?"
"I'd suggest a collared shirt and nice khaki trousers, nothing too formal, but nothing too casual either, just so we have the bases covered," Alex recommended setting the wine bottles on a counter before following Richy into his bed room. He browsed Richy's closet for a moment, pulling out a Navy blue button up shirt and setting it on the boy's bed. He went over to the dresser frowning.
"All you have are jeans, short pants and swim suits?"
"Well yeah, that's what I wear." Richy answered almost defensively, but blushing at his being unprepared.
"You don't even have black jeans," Alex sighed "Wait here, I think I have some black jeans that you can borrow," he turned to the shadow behind the bedroom door and walked right into it, disappearing in an instant.
Assuming it would take a while Richy headed to the bathroom, stripped down and took a shower, humming to himself contentedly as the warm water caressed his skin. He quickly washed, then dried himself with a soft fluffy towel wrapping it around his waist as he headed back to the bedroom. He blushed deeply as he saw Alex reclining on his bed dressed all in black, a black button up shirt, black jeans, and black motorcycle boots. Not exactly a style he would have worn before coming to the Academy, but it certainly suited him well.
"It's about time," Alex teased tossing Richy a pair of black jeans. "I thought you would decide you liked the shower better than going to a dinner party,"
"I was not in there that long," Richy answered sharply as he pulled on a pair of boxers under his towel before tossing the towel aside.
"Long enough for me to pick out an outfit for myself, get showered, go though my things and find a pair of jeans that would fit you, take a short nap, then come back here and still wait for you for 20 minutes," Richy wasn't sure whether Alex was exaggerating or not from the deadpan look on his friend's face. He pulled on the borrowed jeans, finding them a bit snug, but not overly so, comfortable enough to make it through the dinner party at least.
"What can I say, I'm a water sign," Richy stuck out his tongue as he shrugged on his shirt leaving the top three buttons open, showing off a generous amount of the boy's chest.
"Actually you're a fire sign, you're just a fish in human form, I should call the feds so they can do an alien autopsy on you," Alex replied dryly. Richy stuck out his tongue again as he stepped into a pair of Navy Chucks, wiggling around until the set comfortably on his feet.
"Whatever, zombie boy," Alex went cross eyed sticking his arms out in from of him rising stiffly from the bed groaning,
"Braaaaaiiiiiiinnnnnnnssssssss,"
Richy giggled throwing the wet towel at his friend hitting him in the face.
"OI NOT THE HAIR!" Alex yelled throwing the towel back. Richy tensed waiting for some sort of retaliation, but nothing came. He looked around the room, but Alex was gone. Richy frowned, had he upset the boy that much that he wasn't going to go with him tonight after all?
"BOO!" Richy about jumped out of his skin as Alex materialized from the shadows behind him, and grabbed the boy's sides.
Richy turned around a severe scowl etched across his youthful features, making him look like a little kid who was pouting over not getting his way.
"Ok, ok, you got me, I got you, we're even. We should probably get going otherwise we'll be late, and the gods only know what Lee and September might be doing," Alex gave and exaggerated shudder.
"Fine, but you're carrying the wine. I'll grab a tray of sushi from the fridge and we can go," Richy answered as he made his way to the kitchen grabbing what he needed looking to Alex expectantly.
"Are we ready?"
Alex managed to find a comfortable way to hold the bottles, nodding towards the door.
"Ready whenever you are,"
The duo made their way towards the Demeter House, knocking on the door, only to have Lee answer it.
"Welllick my nostril gorgeous...and you too tall, dark and deathly," Lee grinned. "Seppy and I were just chatting about the last time we had a little get together at her place, it was quite the time. Why don't you come on in,"
Richy blushed deeply, subconsciously leaning into Alex as they stepped inside.

September turned away from the pair of friends and walked back in to the forge. When she arrived, she found that Lee was gone. His hammer and supplies were laid strewn across the table as if he hastily left the work area. Groaning, Seppie decided to try to look for Lee to continue to try and persuade to repair her sword at a faster pace. Waving the smoke out of her eyes, she coughed a little bit before calling out into the polluted air. "Lee? Where are you, bro? I need to talk to you 'bout the sword and dinner... get together? I guess you could call it that, but honestly," walking towards the back of the forge, September tried to find his own personal workshop where he showed her a large hunk of metal that would become a chariot with automaton horses. Peering in through a doorway, she saw a large fire burning with shields and giant hammers laying across the floor. "Nope, not this one."
Striding on, September looked through another door. Smiling smugly, walked a few steps inside, arms crossed across her chest. There was still that chariot in the corner, but it was looking more like an actual chariot than a battered piece of divine metal. Also, there seemed to be horse head shaped hunks of alloys on the work table and near the fire. Jewelry hung around the room, either to cool off or show off, she wasn't sure. "Maybe both. Anyways, where is that troublesome boy?" September thought to herself, her face slowly showing signs of great vexation. Breathing deeply, she didn't notice that vines were growing from the ground. They were languidly growing upwards, around her shoes and tickling the back of her calves. "Lee... Boy, this isn't funny." September glared at the room, eyes flitting back and forth taking in the scene; mental gears went nearly into overdrive, as the Demeter child was desperately thinking of other places the Hephaestus kid could be.
Suddenly, she felt someone launch themselves at her back, arms wrapping around her waist. Gasping, she jumped in the air. The vines snapped, leaving little bits of plant innards flying in the air. "Rawr!
[/s] Eyes blazing with anger, September spun around trying to who just gave her a massive heart attack. She gave a beastly snarl, which surprised herself. Seeing that Lee was guffawing like a madman and pointing at her, she growled fiercely. Barging straight at him, Seppie tackled Lee to the ground. The two fell on the floor, with September sitting straddled across his stomach. "LEE![/i] What the f*ck, man? The sh*t was that for?"[/color] she bellowed, not realizing what was happening on a physical level at that point. Letting out a deep breath, she looked like an angry dragon with smoke coming out of it's nostrils. Leaning down, just barely above Lee's face, September let a small breath escape from her lips. She brushed against his ear roughly. "If you ever do that again, I swear Lee, you will lose that f*cking head of yours. I don't care if it has boyish charms or is devilishly attractive. I WILL[/b] take it off. Okay?"[/color] September sat back straight again and breathed for a moment. Ruffling his hair, she gave a coy smile. Sliding off of his torso (though in the process she accidentally grinded against his groin) September stood up, extending an arm to help her male counterpart up. "So, would you like to save your hide and help me prepare for dinner tonight, or just stay here and risk your ass?" Without waiting for an answer, she grabbed Lee's arm and dragged him out of the forge to the Demeter House. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Demeter House looked small from the outside, but once you were inside, the spacious interior seemed like an impossibility. The kitchen was off to the right wall, taking up the entire corner. Quaintly implanted with black and white porcelain tiles, it was kept in tip-top shape. Not surprising, as it was in the house of serious cooks. The dining area was to the left, opposite of the kitchen. A large table was set for six; all the plates and utensils were set in such detail, even the most fussy chefs in the world would be impressed. A cozy parlor was just beyond the kitchen. A fluffy green bean chair, a sofa, and several love seats were placed roughly in a 'U' around the plasma TV that was mounted on the wall. Video game controllers were strewn across the floor; wires and consoles were in a tangled mess under the plasma. September opened the door, ushering in a purposely slow Lee. Pushing him through, she slammed the door behind them. "You. Go make yourself comfortable or something. Just don't touch the plates or nothing." She said, letting a silent threat hang in the air. There wasn't much to do; Richy was bringing sushi and wine. Alex was bringing... just himself. What more could she possibly do? "Well, it looks like this whole dinner thing is already addresse--- wait! We need a dessert. A custard? Or Crème brûlée?" September thought for a moment. "Yup. Crème brûlée it is." Getting out a small blow torch, sugar, ramekins, and the other supplies, she got to work. Realizing that the caramelized top should be made immediately before serving, Seppie put back the torch and sugar. Placing the custard mixture into the ramekins, she preheated the oven. Deciding to sit down for a bit while waiting for the oven to finish preheating, she slowly walked over to the love seat where Lee was sitting. It was set right in front of the plasma screen. Plopping herself down, she leaned against Lee's shoulder and watched the TV along side. "Remember when I first met you?" September asked after a minute or two of silence. "Yeah? You do realize I thought you were a two-faced cheater. There some rumors that you had a torrid love affair with a gopher. Yeah a gopher." She snickered. It was when she first arrived at the Academy. Everyone was telling her stories of other students, but the gopher affair was the most unbelievable of them all. Gently pushing Lee's face away, she laughed. "Well, I did believe it at first, but after I met you, I still had my doubts. Haha. I mean, you are Lee. Just kidding." September stuck her tongue out and ruffled his hair. Placing her head on his chest, she sighed peacefully. She had a moment of pure peace; a friend's arm around her shoulder, the rhythmic breathing of two bodies in sync. However, her peace did not last. An insistent beeping jostled Seppie out of her zen moment. Aware that it was the oven, she pushed herself reluctantly off the seat. Grabbing the ramekins, she put them all in side the oven. The timer was set to an hour and thirty minutes, though they would probably remain in the oven longer. Returning to the seat, September yawned. She was getting tired, since she woke up early in the morning to train. Settling comfortably, she yawned again and resumed the previous position. Head on chest, arms wrapped around the torso. Planting a kiss on Lee's cheek, Seppie began to doze off. She was vaguely aware of Lee gently nuzzling her head. Everything was a blur afterward. BANG BANG. September moaned before turning on her side, not bothered by the loud knocking. She could hear noises, but was too tired to process them all in her head. There was shuffling and glass bottles clinking quietly, as if they were set on the table. "Set on the table... The table... Table... WAIT. TABLE?" Flailing around, September bolted off the bed, letting a quilted blanket fall off her bodice. "Don't touch the table!" She shook her head, trying to clear away the blurriness. When the room stopped spinning, Seppie blushed, realizing the everyone was looking at her like she belonged in an asylum. Giggling nervously, she waved it off. "Sorry. Demeter House's rules. It's a habit. Hehe..." Running her hands through her slightly messy hair, September offered a warm smile. "Great! You actually got three bottles? That's awesome. I guess one bottle for each course. Before, during, after." Brushing herself off, she rushed over to the chairs and pulled each of them out. "Sushi? Nice. That'll be the main course. I made dessert for later. Anyone like Crème brûlée?" Alex kept himself a safe distance from the son of Hephaestus, he didn't want Richy to start babbling again, and the gods only knew what he would say, maybe not even they would know. Alex frowned slightly after he set the bottles on the table, as he had been instructed only to have the Demeter girl come a bit unhinged. He gave her a wary look as he handed over the bottle and sat down next to Richy. Lee grinned at the pair as he took a seat across from them.
"Yeah I know they can be a bit odd when it comes to cooking and dinner tables, but it's worth it in the end." Lee offered as a bit of small talk as September sat next to him.
"Thanks for having us over September," Richy said politely, doing his best not to play with his silverware or the table cloth. Alex wanted to smirk, knowing how difficult it was for the boy not to be messing with something. Richy's ADHD was some of the worst he had ever seen, not that Alex had seen all that many people with ADHD. In his day ADHD wasn't diagnosed, it was just assumed that the kid was lazy and unwilling to learn properly. Alex grimaced mentally as he remembered smack of a ruler across his knuckles for fidgeting in his seat during class.
"So Richy, why don't you tell us about yourself," Lee suggested with a prize winning smile. Alex knew this dinner would be difficult, he just hadn't expected it to be difficult this soon.
"Uh, um, er," Richy stammered.
"Perhaps I should go first?" Alex offered receiving a grateful smile from his younger friend.
"If you didn't know already, my name is Alexander Scuro, I am a son of Hades. I was born before the pact of the Big Three, and hidden away by my father in early 1945, to protect me from his brother's wrath. One of my father's Lieutenants, the Titan 'Bob' revived me and brought me here."
"So you don't remember anything between 1945 and now?" Lee asked seeming to be genuinely interested.
"No entirely, I have vague suggestions of thing which may have happened during the intervening years, but they are more like half forgotten dreams than anything substantial."
"Interesting. What about you little man?"
Alex frowned as Richy flushed deeply, trying not to choke on a spring roll. "Ahem, me? There's not much to tell really. I'm the son of Pontos, I lived in Hawaii with my mom and grams. I was attacked by monsters a lot before coming here, in fact before I was rescued, our house was under siege. Some half-monsters came and smuggled me and my family out. They brought me here while my mom and grams moved to California. Um, I have my own house here, I don't get to stay in my dad's mansion or anything, daddy doesn't want people to think he's showing me favoritism or anything. Um, let me see, there's not much to tell, other than Alex here is pretty much my best friend..." Richy blushed deeply looking at the table rather than the demigods across from him.
"It's always good to have a special friend," Lee commented causing Alex to glare at him.
"Indeed, perhaps you could regale us with the tales of you 'special friend' the gopher," Alex's voice had a dark edge to it as he waited for Lee to try and bluff his way out of this one.
"Oh the gopher. We in truth it started out as a silly joke that sort of took on a life of it's own. It was back at camp, I was talking with a bunch of people, then some one asked 'Hey Lee is it true you'll screw anything with a pulse?' To which I just winked and grinned. The some girl picked up a gopher and handed to me saying 'How about him?' I replied to the gopher 'Hey don't I know you...and your sister?' the gopher squeaked in what seemed like a reply so I said, 'I do believe we have some unfinished business, let's go back to my place,' everyone laughed as I walked away with the little critter. But nothing really happened I just brought it back to the cabin and built it a little artificial environment and still have him there. He's as happy as can be,"
Alex had to admit he was surprised that Lee actually answered the question, he expected some perverse comment or something.
"What about you September?" Richy asked shyly "What's your story?"

September merely grinned sheepishly as Alex threw her a wary glance. Shaking her head, she waited till everyone was settled in their seats before taking on herself next to Lee. Smiling September looked around, observing everyone. Richy was trying hard not to touch or fidget anything on the table while Alex was stone-cold as ever; sitting rigid in his seat, he seemed to display a special hatred towards Lee. Knitting her eyebrows, she kept quiet and waited.
"Thanks for having us over September,"
[/s] Richy thanked, as a gesture of politeness. Seppie nodded and flashed a warm smile. "No problem. It's a Demeter thing. Hospitality is a must." Grabbing a spicy tuna roll, she put some on her plate, before gesturing to the rest of the group to get some as well. So Richy, why don't you tell us about yourself," Lee grinned like a bobcat, as Richy was trying hard not to choke on the spring roll he was eating. Nudging Lee with her knee gently, she glared at him for a split second. Richy was stammering once more. "Uh, um, er," September could see how uncomfortable this was becoming and was about to step in, but Alex beat her to it. "If you didn't know already, my name is Alexander Scuro, I am a son of Hades. I was born before the pact of the Big Three, and hidden away by my father in early 1945, to protect me from his brother's wrath. One of my father's Lieutenants, the Titan 'Bob' revived me and brought me here." Nodding with genuine interest, September commented, "Wow, that's pretty cool.""So you don't remember anything between 1945 and now?"No entirely, I have vague suggestions of thing which may have happened during the intervening years, but they are more like half forgotten dreams than anything substantial."[/s] Alex explained. "Interesting. What about you little man?"[/s] Lee turned to the Pontos child, who had was still struggling to swallow the spring roll. Um, let me see, there's not much to tell, other than Alex here is pretty much my best friend..."September had to suppress a mental "d'awwwww". The two were quite close, resembling a family bond. Glancing at Lee, she couldn't read his expression or what he was trying to hint at (which was quite usual with him). After a few minutes had passed, Alex inquired about Lee's torrid affair with a supposed gopher. He's as happy as can be," Lee answered confidently without a hint of embarrassment. He actually seemed to say it all with pride, as if he enjoyed proving Alex's opinion of him wrong. September watched Alex give a hint of surprise at Lee's honesty. "One shouldn't judge by a book's cover,[/i] she thought to herself. Elbowing Lee slightly, she gave a nod of content, as to him not blurting out a perverted comment or anything of the sort. "What about you September? What's your story?"Swallowing her roll quickly, September wiped her mouth the a napkin before launching into her own story. "Well, I lived with my Dad back in Manhattan. Uhm... we had a nice life. He was a plant fanatic and a great gardener. You could imagine his happiness when his daughter had a green thumb too. We were driving to the Camp when monsters attacked me. I managed to get through. I don't know what happened to my dad since I passed out in the Camp but Chiron told me that the monsters got him. He was dead." September had to take a break. This memory was not particularly good, but it had to be said. "So I stayed at the Camp for a few years before coming to the Academy. Made a lot of friends, and honed in on my sword skills. Lucky I got Lee to fix them all for me before I got the one I have now from Demeter. So... I guess that's about it." Seppie finished. She grabbed a few California rolls and placed them on her plate. Pouring more soy sauce in a small container, she mixed in some wasabi. The room was quiet for a while, except for the sounds of munching. Realizing their white wine has not been drunken yet, she got up out of her seat and brought some glasses over to the table. Popping the cork, she poured a bit in each glass. "White wine goes best with seafood, as my dad had told me." September explained. "Be sure to give Maxi my thanks for these great drinks," Taking a sip, she relished the dry quality to the wine. The oven beeped, signaling the end of its bake. "Looks like the desert's done!" Seppie exclaimed, getting out of her seat once again. Grabbing some oven mitts, she opened the oven door and brought out each ramekin with great care. Closing the door and returning the mitts, September got the blow torch and sugar. "Would anyone like to help me caramelize the sugar for Crème brûlée?" she asked, turning around to look at her guests guesturing towards the blow torch. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Oh let me," Lee offered with a with a leering grin, winking at Richy as he helped September start the blowtorch.
"I have recently discovered, with my brother Paul's help, that while I can't summon fire like he can, I can manipulate it, watch," he lit the first dessert on fire, handed the torch to September, then held his hand over the flames drawing it to him until it sat in his palm like a baseball.
"Pretty cool huh?" he grinned then said, "Watch this," he threw the ball of fire and it stretched out like a whip just high enough above the desserts to caramelize the the sugar coating, then pulled all back into his hand juggling it around like some street performer.
"Impressive. Richy, why don't you show Mr. Hot Hands over there what you can do?" Alex suggested with a hint of a smile. Richy immediately began to sweat and stammer, "I-I-I I couldn't, we're guests here..."
"No let's see it little man," Lee encouraged as he sat the fire on his head like a hat.
"If you say so..." Richy murmured as he stood concentrating on the fire, then out of no where a bucket's worth of salt water fell on top of Lee, the fire and poor September who had been watching the show.
"Omygod, I'm so sorry September, Lee," Richy said deeply embarassed "I think I put a little too much force into it..." by now Richy's face was beet red. Alex snickered receiving a death glare from Richy.
"That was AWESOME!" Lee exclaimed "Can you summon all the water to you like I did the fire?"
"Well yeah...OH! Yeah let me get you guys dry..." Richy offered but Lee waved him off as he pulled September into his lap.
"I'm hot enough to dry us off," Alex rolled his eyes. "But if you could dry the table that would be great," Richy nodded, concentrated on the water and with in less than a second the table, chairs and everything else that had gotten drench was bone dry.
"Well that was exciting," Lee proclaimed with steam rolling his and September's clothes. "Oh I just remembered, I did get your shield done, I can't tell you what all it can do, where would the fun in that be? But I will show you this,"
He pushed a small box across the table, Richy opened it to find a watch with a beautifully detailed face, painted with a giant wave and Roman numerals.
"It's beautiful," Richy said quietly. "Put it on then tap the face twice," Lee instructed. Rich slipped the band over his narrow wrist then tapped the face twice, just a Lee had told him, only to find the watch grow and expand into a slightly oversized celestial bronze shield. The edges had different views of the oceans and seas and a large capitol letter Π (pi) in the center.
"I wasn't sure if your dad had any specific symbol so I went simple. I don't think it'll be confused with Poseidon since his symbol is his Trident. I also tried an experimental way of heating the metal to make it thicker, but lighter than your standard shield. You'll have to let me know how it works for you. There are a lot of other bells and whistles too, but you'll just have to play around with it and see what you can figure out," Richy beamed as he studied the shield, temporarily at a loss for words.
"Whatever else you are Lee, you are certainly a master craftsman," Alex commented respectfully.
"Why thank you Alex, coming from you that means a lot. As for you," he tickled Septembers sides lightly, "You're lucky I like you," he pulled her sword out from under the table. "Now stop breaking it, or I'm going to have to talk to your mother about getting you a different weapon." he teased mildly
"Thank you so much Lee," Richy said quietly reverting his shield to it's watch form.
"Any time little man, now why don't we enjoy our dessert, then maybe head over to Club Orion for a little fun, unless of course we want to stay here and make our own fun," Lee grinned and winked at the boys, draining all of the color from Richy's face.
"Oh gods is he thinking, what I think he's thinking?...Oh gods..." Richy thought sitting back down looking to Alex for guidance. And for once Alex just shrugged his shoulders leaving it up to Richy.
"Oh gods..."

September was hoping for Richy to help out, as she was trying to get him more involved with other duties to keep his mind off of Lee and for Lee to stop flustering the poor child. However it was not meant to be since Lee offered to take up the job of caramelizing the desserts. He grabbed the blowtorch from September.
"I have recently discovered, with my brother Paul's help, that while I can't summon fire like he can, I can manipulate it, watch," Lee demonstrated his newly found ability by lighting the first ramekin, then suctioning the fire in to the palm of his hand where it sat, similar to a baseball. Nodding in amusement, September remained unimpressed. She knew Lee was just showing off for the guests, though she had never seen this before in her life either. Lee threw the flaming sphere down the line of ramekins, resulting in each one to be caramelized in a few seconds, before the sphere returned back into his hand. He juggled the flames while giving a tacky grin, much like a street performer.
Alex merely glanced at Richy before saying, "Impressive. Richy, why don't you show Mr. Hot Hands over there what you can do?" Richy looked unsure of what to do. He began to stammer and trying to put off the subject until Lee urged him to demonstrate his own unique powers. Murmuring, Richy concentrated on the fire that sat upon Lee's head. Suddenly, out of the blue, at least a bucketful's worth of salt-water poured down on Lee, drenching September in the process. Sputtering and spitting the salt water out of her mouth, she raised her arms and looked down at herself. Everything was soaked to the bone, and unfortunately, made her shirt slightly transparent. Breathing heavily, she resisted the urge to release vine tendrils on to the Pontos child.
Richy himself was genuinely upset for what he caused. Apologizing, he offered to help dry the two up all the while Alex was snickering. Glaring at him September bared her teeth. Lee refused Richy's help, simply stating that he was "hot enough" to dry both of them. September squeaked as she was caught off guard by Lee who pulled her into his lap. Shifting her seat around, she shook her head around like a wet dog, spraying anyone in vicinity with salt water.
"Well that was exciting,"
[/s] September scoffed. "Sure, if that's what you want to call it," she thought as Lee steamrolled her clothes. "Thank the Gods, he didn't notice. It feels good to be dry."[/i] Seppie silently appreciated the turn of events. "Oh I just remembered, I did get your shield done, I can't tell you what all it can do, where would the fun in that be? But I will show you this,"[/s] September watched in curiosity when Lee pushed a small trinket box towards Richy across the table. In the box was a small watch, which Lee instructed Richy to wear. Obediently he did. It was a beautiful watch, even September had to admit that, even though she has no knowledge of watches whatsoever. When tapped twice, the watch expanded in to a large shield with oceanic trimmings and a large glowing "pi" sign in the center. Stifling a gasp, September gawked at it in awe. There are a lot of other bells and whistles too, but you'll just have to play around with it and see what you can figure out,"[/s] Lee explained. Richy could not even emit a single sound. "Whatever else you are Lee, you are certainly a master craftsman," Alex respectfully praised. "Uh...huh." September stupidly agreed, unable to form any coherent thoughts due to the magnificence of the shield. Feeling some tickling on her sides, she realized that Lee was speaking to her as well. "You're lucky I like you. Now stop breaking it, or I'm going to have to talk to your mother about getting you a different weapon."[/s] Lee pulled out her sword from under the table. "Oh haha. she responded sarcastically. Launching a massive hug around his neck, September planted a kiss on his cheek. Taking the sword, she got off his lap, and began brandishing around. Still light and very comfortable to handle. "Any time little man, now why don't we enjoy our dessert, then maybe head over to Club Orion for a little fun, unless of course we want to stay here and make our own fun,"[/s] September froze in spot; whipping her head around Richy's color drain completely from his entire body. His eyes widened and it seems as though he was on the brink of hyperventilating. Glancing at Alex, he just shrugged indifferently at Richy. "Oh Gods. What the hell is he doing?"[/i] she thought to herself. Placing the sword on the counter top behind the table, she coughed loudly. "Ahememhmhm. Erghgmgh." Patting her chest, September looked brightly at everyone. "Club Orion, you say? Lee, you know that I do not like that club. The last time I was there, some chick picked a fight with me. Well, in the end she was the one injured, but I don't like that place. Why not just enjoy a nice friendly dinner here for the night?" She said, her tone becoming cold as she icily stared at Lee. September hoped that she helped Richy in this situation. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Alex only felt slightly bad for leaving the decision up to Richy like that. The boy would have to start getting over his nervousness and lack of self confidence one of these days, and for his own part, Alex had more or less forgiven Lee for his promiscuity, he was a very attractive boy after all...
But he did start to get a bit more concerned at Richy's petrified attitude, surely the suggestion wasn't that terrifying, the kid was a close friend of a Son of Hades after all. There weren't many things more terrifying that a child of Hades in a bad mood after all.
Before Alex could act September rode to Richy's rescue.
Alex watched Richy as he gave the Daughter of Demeter a grateful look before adding his own two cents into the mix.
"Perhaps she's right. Maybe something more low key may be in order, I have heard the club can get pretty wild. Although, I have also heard Orion puts on one hell of a show, and everyone should make it to at least one while they're here," The pitiful look Richy gave Alex as he pleaded with him not to make him go both annoyed Alex and made his heart melt at the same time.
"Ok, ok. We'll stay here, what would you like to do? And Lee don't even think it," Alex matched his own icy glare with September's.
Lee threw his hands up in the air in a surrendering gesture. "I give, I promise to behave, at least for a little while at any rate, I mean you can't make a tiger forget his stripes forever," he grinned giving Alex a predatory look.
Almost out of nowhere Richy moved closer to Alex, almost protectively, while he still looked pretty pale and nervous, he also had a determined look in his eyes that was both cute and completely unexpected. Alex slipped an arm around Richy's shoulder in a brotherly way looking to September.
"So any suggestions on some fun activities we could do once we've finished dinner? Maybe a hand of cards or something?"
Richy groaned, "Dear gods no. Grams loves to play bridge and canasta, and she would always drag me in to play too. I hated it because she never really explained the rules. 'No grandson of mine will not know how to play cards, you should know these things already,'" Alex chuckled at Richy's impression of his grandmother. She sounded to be a very strong and interesting woman, Alex hoped to meet her one day.
"Ok no bridge or canasta. Why not something simple and easy like blackjack, or can you not count to 21?" Alex smirked as Richy elbowed him in the ribs muttering, "Smart ass."

"Perhaps she's right. Maybe something more low key may be in order, I have heard the club can get pretty wild. Although, I have also heard Orion puts on one hell of a show, and everyone should make it to at least one while they're here," Alex added. September glanced at him with a small nod to show appreciation. Looking at Lee, she raised her eyebrows as if to challenge him to object. She noticed that Richy gave Alex such a pitiful gaze that he hastily added, "Ok, ok. We'll stay here, what would you like to do? And Lee don't even think it." Seppie approved of Alex's icy glare that matched her own. It was nice to have people that can couple nicely with your own temper.
Keeping a stone-cold expression, September watched for Lee's reaction. He raised his arms in a surrendering gesture, but had a leering grin plastered on his face. "I give, I promise to behave, at least for a little while at any rate, I mean you can't make a tiger forget his stripes forever."
[/s] September scoffed and folded her arms. Glancing at Alex and Richy she shrugged her shoulders as if to say think we can trust him?Keeping silent, she smiled when Richy suddenly moved closer to Alex in an inadvertent gesture for protection. Alex slipped his arm around Richy's shoulder in a brotherly fashion before turning towards September. "So any suggestions on some fun activities we could do once we've finished dinner? Maybe a hand of cards or something?"Richy groaned loudly with discomfort. "Dear gods no. Grams loves to play bridge and canasta, and she would always drag me in to play too. I hated it because she never really explained the rules. 'No grandson of mine will not know how to play cards, you should know these things already,'"[/s] September and Alex both chuckled quietly. She furrowed her brow for moment before clapping her hands together merrily. "Well, how 'bout we eat dinner first? Then we can think while we eat, yeh? Sounds good?" Looking brightly at everyone she nodded rigorously. Walking over to Lee, she poked his arm and smiled. "Lee... How does that sound to you? It might be a little boring though, knowing you." she said quietly, so only Lee and herself can hear. notes: OMFG I AM SO SORRY. THIS IS LIKE SUPER SUPER LATE. muse: It died.
