Alexiel walking into the great hall wasn't anything knew. She stopped and sighed, it was empty. She was exceptionally early... again. She took a deep breath and brushed her hair back and sat down, pulling her leather jacket off her shoulders and draping it over the seat next to her. This was Alex's 6th year, her senior year. She was determined to make it matter, this was the most important year. She took a deep breath and pulled out a notebook. She ran her fingers across it's worn binding then opened it and skimmed over it's first page. It was a letter to the headmaster and staff. It read:
Dear Headmaster,
Seeing as this is my last year at the academy and I'm sure you understand my reasoning behind wishing to stay at the academy. I am curious to know if, once I graduate I might be granted a small instructor position. I should very much like this opportunity. Since I've worked very hard and kept very high grades in all my classes since I started, I have a small proposition.
If you allow me to train my abilities and take special classes I am sure I could do a splendid job. I know that my ability still needs alot of work and I'm sure I wake up alot of people with my nightmares, but I know I can get a handle on them before I start. Please, I would really like this oppotunity.
Sincerely,
Alexiel Dejguree
Alexiel read it over again and frowned slightly, but she relaxed and stood, walking across the room to make a cup of tea. She set a tea bag into a cup and poured the already heated water into the cup and as she turned she shivered and the glass fell to teh ground, she leaned back and braced herself against the beverage cart, one hand on her forehead. It was normal for her to have headaches when her premonitions came, but this was much worse than normal. She closed her eyes and flashes came. She moved and sat down, which was more of a collapse and clutched her head, resting her forehead on her knees.
Before she realized it the pain was causing tears to drip into her pleated skirt, this was the worst pain she'd felt in a while. She couldn't focus in order to figure out what the premonition was, the more she focused the more it hurt, but it continued even if she tried to make it pass, she was stuck and it was painful. She took a deep breath and curled into herself, trying to make this premonition pass. Maybe someone would come and help her.
