Lets Get More Personal
Likes: “Hm… likes, this is hard when, you know, your mom is the personification of hate. Oh well, I like gum, the river Styx, bodies of water, chillin’ out, and hate. Very simple.”
Dislikes: “Oh, this is easy, I hate a lot of things. First off, I hate whiny people, annoying people, rat dogs, waking up early in the morning, bees, and more.”
Personality: Dani isn't really... social. She's more of the, 'Whatever I'm gonna go over here and pretend I didn't see you' type of person. If you wan't to get on her good side, give her gum, and do her homework. For what it's worth, she's got more street smarts than book smarts, and she's perfectly fine with that. If you see her on the street, half the time you'd probably think she was some street bum, but no. She isn't. She takes pride in her long mane of blonde hair, and if you so much as try to cut it without consent she'd probably rip you to shreds. Due to her mom being the personification of hate, she's not the most loving person. In fact, she's probably not loving at all. She'd rather be left alone than anything.
History: “Ah, you wanna know my history. Well, my dad, Joseph, met Styx, who had come up from the Underworld for a while (trust me, everyone has to after a while), and the two had a one night stand. Nine months later on October twentieth yours truly was born. Yea… love story isn’t that interesting. Here comes the irony, I was born in Mississippi (my dad lived there and Styx was there), and my dad was a cop. Yea… then along came the name Dani. Joy. In order to be closer to my mom, we moved to Venice Beach, California. I miss it. You know, cause there, you had more things to do than, well, school. I’m horribly at school, oh well. Anyway, as time went past, my dad was killed in a robbery, and little ole me was left as an orphan. Yep. Joy. Nothing over the top in his death. I was eleven then.
“Since my mom found out, she made me live with her before. Her god children visited sometimes, which really sucked since, well, I’m not a god, and had no way of competing against them. So, the Underworld, I guess you could say it’s hell, but a good hell. I met Charon, he’s a pretty chill guy. Of course, being eleven in the Underworld and being alive isn’t really the best thing in the world, so when I was thirteen, I told my mom that I couldn’t take it, and away I was sent. For a while, I just wandered around aimlessly. My mom claimed me right when I got onto the borders of Camp Half Blood. Now that was hell. Honestly, I don’t know how people survive there. When I went, it was way too overcrowded. I probably would’ve died of claustrophobia.
“So off to Half Blood Academy I went. Starting school there at age fourteen. The age where no one gives a crap about you cause your either a teenager or not and it’s just too confusing to keep up. Good times, good times. I haven’t quite made any friends, and I don’t much care for them. Honestly, I’m one of the kids who does fairly well without them. Why? Well, mumsy is the goddess of a River, and the personification of hate, and people swear on her. I get annoyed far too easily with people swearing on her enough as it is, so making friends is the death sentence. Cause hearing someone go, ‘I swear on the river Styx that I’d never hurt you,’ and then BAM! ABOUT A HALF HOUR LATER SOME CHICK’S GOT A BLACK EYE! Yea. That’s annoying. You’d get annoyed to.
“So yep, that’s me, Dani California, in a nutshell. Oh yea, and I guess I should tell you a little bit about my gum addiction. I got addicted to the stuff when I was ten. I got to go out of the Underworld to get it sometimes, and I generally buy in stock. Give me gum, and we’ll be on good terms. And I mean just good terms. Not friends. Otherwise, that’s it.”
Abilities: “I can travel from the Underworld to the Academy anytime, really. It’s all a matter of if I want to go there or not.”
Weaknesses: “I’m an awful people person, not gonna lie. I get pretty bad with people.”
Other Information: “I chew a lot of gum. Like, a serious amount. That, and I can like, talk to dead people thanks to mumsy. Yea, having conversations with dead people is totally cool.”

Frostbite glared at Joker, snarling, “Get your stupid hands away from my chair, and call me Frostie one more time and I’m gonna kick your sorry arse from here to the middle of next week and back.” Joker… he was gonna give her white hairs someday. Swear to God and the Virgin Mary, he was. She balled her fists up, not daring to move them from where they were, since she didn’t want them to spot her brass knuckles, “Sadly, I agree wit’ Joker over here, why we’se gotta bring kids to O’Reily’s? God you’se gonna give us all a bad name, I mean, not that we’se already don’t got a bad reputation as is. ‘Esides, Amo ain’t a fightah like me, why not just move this party to a warehouse like last time?” Did she reserve rights to be a witch? Yep, after all, you’d be witchy too after what happened to her.
All because Sully had betrayed her as a kid, she thought she could trust him too. Scowling, she looked down, her hat covering her blue eyes, her nails almost breaking the cheap fabric of the coat. Looking up at Sinner, her eyes barely noticeable under them, she let that comment distract her from Sully. Raising an eyebrow at him, she said, “Either your trying to flatter me to get me on your side for somethin’ or yer blind. I’se ain’t here for flattering; I’m here for a meeting, ok? And don’t call me Sweetheart. This is also big goil business too, last I remembered.” She growled at the last part. What was with boys, and A) calling her Frostie, B) calling her Sweetheart, and C) trying to get on her good side? If you were her enemy, there were no exceptions you were practically gone by then.
Right now, she was inwardly glad she had taken that nap, she was gonna have to be wide awake for this. Frostbite hated not knowing anything; after all, it was a bit pointless to not tell her anything. Just because she was the only girl leader, didn’t mean she didn’t demand respect. Hell, if any leader demanded respect, it was her. Screw Brooklyn, Bronx was just as tough as them! They just didn’t flaunt it. They were more like a secret army, thanks to her. Frost was tough, and she didn’t care. Slinks had trained her to be tough, he had. Hell if she had stopped being a newsie she would have still worked at his side as a body guard. A trained hit woman; that was what she was. She welded pride in that too. Her grip on the brass knuckles tightened, making sure they stayed in place.
Looking around again, she made sure no one was watching their meeting. Call her paranoid, butspank me hard, it wasn’t her fault bad things happened. They happened every day. Frostbite’s thoughts wandered back to her family. She wondered what her father was doing now, probably drinking, and wondered what Sully was doing. As much as she hated him, she… no, she didn’t care. She could never care about him anymore. He stopped caring about her, so she stopped caring about them. She was numb to them now. She was numb to her father, to Sully, and Slinks. All those years of training had made her cold, distant. It wasn’t like she hadn’t tried to stay herself, but… that person was gone. Ella was gone. In her place was Frostbite, the fearless leader of Bronx. That’s all she had to be. Fearless. Fearless for Bronx, fearless for everything that could hurt you.
She was fearless of herself. Sometimes being how tough she was, it was scary. She had never let anyone in, and made sure people stayed out. Frostbite’s worst enemy was herself, Ella. It was a scary thought, being your own worst enemy, but that happened to a lot of people. It had to; otherwise there wouldn’t be people like her. You toughened up and nobody could hurt you, mentally, that was. Mentally, she was pretty stable, rude comments brushed off her easily, and smirked when she heard Nightingale talk, “Thanks for pointin’ dat out Sherlock, like we didn’t already know why we we’re supposed to be here, I’se just thought we was here to watch you and Dagger be all kissy kissy wit’ eachother, ain’t I right Joker?” She could be sarcastic when she wanted to, and if there was anyone she could be sarcastic with, it was definitely Joker.
Sure, he pissed her off a good many times, butspank me hard, little miss Nightingale wasn’t a leader, she muttered, “If you ain’t a leadah, you keep your mouth shut, short and simple. Otherwise I break a few jaws no questions asked.” If there was anything that annoyed Frostbite, it was when people thought they were important enough to come to these meetings. After all, this was a leader’s meeting, not a bring your second in command with you meeting. Hell if she brought Basset then there was gonna be a fight, not that any of those bums could hurt her. They knew she was a trained fighter, they knew that if they even tried to grab her she could easily break one of their bones. If Knightingale wanted to be there, she better keep her mouth shut around Frost, or else there was gonna be hell for the Brooklynites from Bronx.
When the fight started up, Frost was the first one up, grabbing Sinner from behind in a full nelson, “Hey! What the hell happened to this being about the midgets! God damn, your worse than me! At least I got sense to knock out the fighting.” Frost tightened her grip, letting the metal from the knuckles dig into his skin. If anything, she was ready to intimidate right now. She had to; keep those God damned boys in line. That; and she could use the intimidation points. After all, she wasn’t a trained fighter for nothing. “What Pyro said, if I let go, you better calm you’re a** down, otherwise I’m gonna have issues. Ok?” She didn’t loosen her grip on Sinner any, she wasn’t gonna lose, even if this wasn’t her fight. A fight was a fight, no exceptions, and if she wasn’t in it, then she was breaking it.
