Lets Get More Personal
Likes: Weapons Practicing Physical activity Swordplay Capture the flag Her small group of friends Bravery Passion Dislikes: Weakness Archery Feeling attracted to someone Being hit on Being ignored Feeling powerless Personality: Looking at Zoe one would not expect her to be the kind to be the first to rush out and fight, but that is exactly the way she is. Zoe is easily angered; she can be harsh and demanding. She loves power, but she actually has the control over her power lust to not let it go to her head. She is strong and brave and is a strong leader with complete control over her emotions. She is the though girl who beat out the boys through hard work and determination. People really tend to not like her a lot of the time because she can be a bit of a jerk and she knows it. She thinks that if she can handle everything that everyone else should too. She’s a head strong tomboy who never takes crap from anyone and she’s got a thick outer skin.
Zoe does have upsides though. She is protective and though she is not soft she will strive to make others feel comfortable and help them in any way she can, though usually it will be in discrete ways. She has a small group that she keeps around her to do her dirty work like making sure that anyone in her cabin is well cared for and that people feel free to be at home in their cabin. The only chink in her tough skin is through her eyes. She can’t stand to see people suffer; it makes her one of the best fighters. When she is practicing on monsters she will not leave a monster to die slowly or let it suffer she will kill it quickly. Her dislike for suffering is what makes her human and not just a mindless power machine. She has a soft spot for the suffering and if there is nothing her small group can do, she will jump in and do anything, break any rule of the camp or the universe to remedy the situation. She doesn’t think she acts and she trusts her gut, it’s what’s kept her safe and alive so far and she know it always will.
History: Just before the Great War, just before Percy Jacksone was found, Ares was once again board with his life. There were wars here or there, and a young woman who was helping to serve the soldiers in one of his many skirmishes. He saw her from his world above and found her beautiful, she was young, about 18, and she was from his old world, she was in Greece. He came down in his soldier form and started to seduce the young woman. He was there for only a week, and in this time he had won the heart of his young ingénue. He told her he had to go back to war and created a note that said he’d been killed in the war, and by this time the young woman was pregnant.
9 months later Zoe Kallistrate Terzi was born in Sparta, Greece. She was the oldest child of seven, all only a year or two apart. Most of her siblings were born in America except the three oldest. All of the rest of her siblings were full mortals. When she was two her mother got married to a kind man with a stubborn streak almost as big as his stepdaughters and about half as mean, which is a lot for a mortal. She spent the start of her life taking care of younger siblings. She lived on the shores of their Greek island and learning how to be the perfect mother. She was the oldest by three years, the biggest age gap in the entire family then her mother had twins the next year, meaning she was very needed to help her working mother take care of her siblings. She had the basic symptoms of wanted the attention back, but she got over it. Her mother had a good heart and tried to take care of all of her children the same but sometimes it was hard for her to get to everyone at the same time with three, and that was not even the end of the list.
Her mother worked during the days and her step-father was usually out of town so she was forced to grow up quickly and raise her siblings herself. It wasn’t hard they all were pretty well behaved, but she didn’t exactly learn to be sweet with them. Then, when she was about 7 she and her 4 younger siblings there was a big change in their lives. Her stepfather had gotten a more stationary job so they all moved to the United States to New York City. They lived in a low end apartment building in a one room flat. They were covered by truly mortal people with overwhelming smells, and ahs she was the daughter of the god of war, her family’s good hearts covered her up a lot from monsters that may be around. As her siblings were born, Zoe got more and more responsible and more and more enchanted by weaponry and fighting. It was her only release and there was a lot behind their apartment where she could practice hitting things with homemade swords and staffs.
Zoe’s siblings grew up in the atmosphere of her pulling out their aggression, so they all knew how to handle it. Zoe’s mother was used to it from being adapted to it from birth and the care that came after. However when she was about to turn 9, just before her last sibling was born, her stepfather decided to stay home more and work less. He was doing that to help out because it was becoming too hectic for a working woman and her 9 and 7 year old daughters. Her stepfather didn’t know how to handle it, but that wasn’t the worst part. As tensions rose in her house she went out to practice more and more and it soon started to draw monsters to her aggression and anger. She had a best friend at school, though she had tried her hardest to push everyone away, this one person slipped through the cracks to her heart. He was a Satyr but he was also the only person that she was calm around and didn’t have a bubbling anger and aggression in her gut. He seemed to have a calming effect on her, like she felt the world could be less irksome when he was around. He was the one who took her to the camp with promises that she would be safe and not have to care for anyone, that she would be special. For a 9 year old that was a lot to promise and she hoped it would work.
Zoe’s journey to the academy was a pretty easy one, her mother couldn’t really help her and her step-father was not brought in on the situation. So it was just her and her head hunter on the bus. Public transportation for a girl, who has no control over the toil she causes others, is a bad thing. There were people fighting around her all the time, which lead to a lot of fighting with monsters and running from them, which she didn’t like. She finally managed to convince her watcher to let her fight a small monster that wasn’t as much of a thread and she managed it well. They pulled in a huge monster as she got closer to the camp and her protector was practically pulling her across the border. She finally got to safety but in the end her protector was hurt. She fought to say with her Satyr friend but was eventually hauled Cabin eleven. For the year she was showing signs of which parent was hers, but she still hadn’t been claimed yet. Then at the end of her first full summer there was a customary capture the flag game and she had been put up against several opponents and came out with only a few scratches. That night at dinner, her attention loving father claimed her as his because of her display in the game.
Zoe grew up mainly in the camp over the next few years and went home every few years. She mainly went home to take care of the kids while her mother and father were out. The older siblings loved having her around, but the younger ones always got angry and didn’t know why. She grew through the ranks as she got older and worked hard to master every craft they threw at her, except Archery which she never could master for some reason. She never put in much effort into making friends, but she managed it somehow. Two years before she became the Senior Cabin Leader which she was proud of. Then when she turned 15 and got her first quest over the summer. She was to retrieve a set weapons called a Chakrams, which looked like throwing disks, made of metal with sharp edges and were fabled to return to the master of the weapon, from a temple in Greece. It was her turn to go home for a while. She did incredibly well coming out before most thought she would, and as her reward she was permitted to keep one of the three Charkram for herself as her own weapon. She did incredibly well coming out before most thought she would, and as her reward she was permitted to keep one of the three Charkram for herself as her own weapon.
After her mission she heard about the academy and thought it would be a good idea. She rarely ever went home and she was high on the totem of her house. It wasn’t long before the leaders of the camp agreed that she could go. She was sent to the Olympian wing as soon as she arrived. She found that there were even more students there than there were at the camp. It was astonishing, it was the first time since she’d entered a world full of monsters and magic that she’d seen a skyscraper and such except for while on her mission. She was a little saddened that there was lass open space to roam around but she became accustomed to it and there were still places to practice. So she started over and started to climb up the ladder again.
Abilities: +Good Fighter +Causes Agitation +Adept at weaponry Weaknesses: Cruel Cold Harsh Expects too much of everyone especially herself Rebellious Not good with rules Does not often acknowledge authority Other Information: A Chakram that can be split from the metal hand holder down the middle
Sample post: Zoe walked through the all too familiar grounds of the camp. This was her home, it really always had been, and she knew that, she’d known it since she came here. She had never truly been able to understand why the god of war chose her passive but beautiful mother to sire her. She’d been told that before she was borne her mother had been the passionate and fiery and the kind that would never back down from a fight. She couldn’t see that person as she looked at the calm and gentle person who had raised her, the person her mother became. Even when in an atmosphere of anger, her mother was calm. As much as Zoe tried to copy her mother, she just couldn’t manage it. Instead Zoe had turned out cold and unfeeling and expected too much of herself and those around her. That’s just the way the world was, and that was the way she liked it now. She was soft with her family, but that was it. She knew she should learn to be better about things, but she didn’t know how to start and in all honesty she wasn’t sure she wanted to try it. She liked the hard personality she had and if she could change it, it didn’t mean that she wanted to go soft.
Zoe let her lips purse the way they always did, making her hallow cheeks look even emptier on her long thin face. She reveled in the feel of the heavy bronze swords crossed in and ‘X’ behind her back and resting on each of her shoulders. It was a comforting feel the weight of the bronze and to know that they were there for her if she needed them. She also absentmindedly ran the pointer finger of her right hand over the chakram attached to the armor on her side. The cool sharp bladed circle felt soft under her calloused fingers. She was walking deeper into the freshly stalked forest in the hopes of finding something to take up her time and energy. There had been little to take care of lately on her part. Clarisse had done a good job to keep the fights in the cabin to small tussles, as she always did, and Zoe was starting the feel useless as the cabin settled and the end drew near.
It was almost the end of summer and that meant that as tense and on edge as most capers were, they turned it in on themselves or put it into more useful activities than fighting each other. They were all not ready to leave, there were a few that were going to stay, she and Clarisse were two of them, and a few other halfbloods in that cabin. Most of the Ares kids stayed for the pure and simple reason that they were too aggressive to work as anything but military men outside. Technically she was now old enough to go out and join the military, but she just didn’t find herself ready yet. She knew as much as she worked on her many skills, she had not worked on control as much as was needed if she was going to function outside of the camp. That was to be her work this year, according to her trainers. This would usually have been a year that she returned home to visit her family for a year, but she decided it was more important to stay away. She’d told her family about her decision and as much as her step-father didn’t like it, the rest of her family took the news well, even the youngest, whom actually seemed to miss her a lot since she’d taught him to use his plastic sword properly.
Zoe’s head shot up as she heard a rustling, this was it. She turned all of her senses on high gear and started to run and maximum speed through the forest to find the monster she was hoping to find. She unhooked her Chakram and looped her hand around it so that if and when she had to pull it was ready. Her other hand darted for one of her swords and pulled it into a position that it was ready but would not decrease her speed. She had been hoping for this for a while, a way to release her pent up energy by taking it out on something. She hoped it was one of the higher up monsters and not just a little thing. The leaves zoomed past her as she tracked the tracks she’d caught of the thing. It was light for a monster. That didn’t mean anything though, things that were light were fast meaning they were agile and hard to fight, that was her best quality after all. She was thin, light, and flexible, so in a fight she was almost impossible to land a hit on unless you could stop her moving and to do that you would need to land a hit.

Your bio looks pretty good, but we need a little more on how Ares met her mother and how she was claimed by the time she was 13, as well as how she came to be at the camp and later the Academy.
Once you get those bits in there, we'll be happy to approve you.
