How he managed to get himself wound up in the damn fool quest, Jesse would never know, maybe he was tired of hanging around the Academy, maybe he had a death wish, the Fates only know. For good or ill, he was in it up to his neck.
"Fancy a trip to the desert Jesse? Sure why not, it's not like I have anything better to do, like surf, swim...get laid, why not? Let's go play in the gods awful desert sands." his thoughts taking one a rather sharp edge as they bounced around his mind like a spastic rubber ball.
He unconsciously found himself taking little used secret routes back to his house, so he could pack and get things ready for this damn fool quest. He stopped mid stride as the Oceanus House came into view. It looked very much the same as it always did, but there was something about it that was off. Much like when someone has been in your room rummaging through your things, and not quite putting them back where they originally were.
"Great, just bloody f*cking fantastic." Jesse muttered darkly beginning to suspect what the nagging feeling was. He stepped through the door only to have his suspicious confirmed. The House was bigger, the Common Room, Kitchenette, and restroom were all redecorated. No longer the surfer-chic Jesse loved, but more of a more neutral "beach house" feel.
"First you convince me to go one some stupid quest, then you come in and redecorate without warning..." his voice failing as he caught sight of a second bedroom across a narrow hallway from his own, which had not been there just a few hours before.
"And now I have a housemate. Thanks Dad, you're really working towards father of the year today now aren't you," Jesse grumbled and groaned stomping into his own bed room, finding it much the same as it had been with the exception of two porthole style windows. These windows had once been in the Common Room, showing Jesse's two homelands, one along the Mississippi River, the other along the Great Barrier Reef. "So not in the mood for this," he grunted pulling the curtains shut, and rolling into the hammock above his bed.
"Any more surprises you want to spring on me today dad? Wait stupid question, I still need to meet this mysterious 'sibling' of mine," he rolled his eyes pulling a pillow over his face, just wanting to go to sleep and forget the whole day had even happened.

Jordin was still adjusting to her new life here at Half-Blood Academy she originally planned to attend her freshman year but her mother had convinced her to stay home and attend school instead. Which wasn’t that bad of an excuse seeing as her mother had just given birth to her first completely human baby with her step father but Jordin still felt it was a little unfair, but being the good daughter Jordin rarely was she stayed in Michigan. Though she still went to Camp Half-Blood during the summer, it wasn’t till this year did her father Oceanus appears out of the blue to visit her. In fact he told her that she had to attend Half-Blood Academy this year even though she would be a senior this year. Jordin found this request to be a little weird but needed the excuse to leave Michigan.
She was welcomed warmly into the Academy by the principle then given a small tour of the campus so she could somewhat navigate her way around the campus though Jordin was positive she would still get lost. Dragging her bags with her she asked a few other students to point her to the direction of the Oceanus cabin or dorm whatever they called it here. The building had a beach house look to it that Jordin appreciated it looked a bit like Poseidon’s cabin but it still had that originality to it. Upon crossing the threshold, she couldn’t help but over hear someone complaining in a bedroom across from one she assumed was hers. But more importantly the person was complaining about her.
Jordin smirked slightly enjoying the fact she wasn’t an only child here but annoyed all the same at the less than warm welcome of her arrival. She left her luggage in the common room and walked to the doorframe of the room her sibling was complaining in. Jordin crossed her arms around her chest and looked at him, the boy looked around her age but wasn’t sure if he was her older or younger brother. “Well nice to know I’m welcomed here” Jordin said sarcastically.

With regards to the quest, Cami Lee hadn’t thought much about it, even after sitting through the meeting with all the other halfbloods with Apollo watching. She hadn’t volunteered herself and therefore, by default, was to help people watch the school. Not her idea of fun, but it was alright. There wasn’t any water in the desert anyways and if there was, it was going to be fresh water and she honestly sucked in fresh water.
She had slipped out of the room a few moments before the meeting was completely over and even as she made her way towards the Oceanus dorms where she knew Jesse vanished to, Cami wasn’t even sure if the meeting was over but it didn’t really matter. She was almost pretty much at the Oceanus dorms anways. She bounded up the steps towards the entrance, nearly tripping as her feet skipped to at once and she wobbled dangerously before righting herself and Cami looked up at the familiar mosaic of her stepfather. She smiled then faltered when she realized that the dorm looked different than she remembered. And she had only visited a few days ago, the day when Jesse and Jacen got together if her memory served her correctly.
The dorm looked bigger and it seemed less…Jesse like as she stood a little bit dumbly in the doorway. Then Cami looked up at the mosaic as the clues sank in and she sighed lightly before somewhat shaking her head at Oceanus. ”I don’t think Jesse’s going to be happy Papa Oceanus. He already has to go into the desert because of the quest and now you’re telling him and myself, kinda, that we have another family member?” Cami sighed, almost flinching back as the mosaic flashed almost angrily and she winced. ”I’m not saying it’s bad but I dunno. Jesse already has to go to the desert and he’s going to be a fish out of water,”
Cami then hurried inside before the mosaic could glower more at her and she nearly bowled into a person, only just barely managing to steady herself on a chair just steps from the other girl. Cami couldn’t tell if she was older or not but Cami could definitely tell that Jesse hadn’t cared and just flopped into his room.
”Don’t mind Jesse, really. He’s not this unwelcoming half the time. It’s just that he’s going on the quest to the desert and he’s going to be a fish out water,” Cami smiled slightly at the girl. ”Once he gets over the fact that he’s got to go to the desert, I think he’ll warm up to you. He’s pretty nice with siblings. Even step-siblings,”
Cami glowered at the door that closed off Jesse’s room. She knew he could hear her. Or rather, she hoped he could hear her. It was bad enough that the other girl was being thrown into a school where she didn’t know anyone. And Cami knew that even the most opposite of siblings got along somehow. It just wasn’t fair that he was being mean to the other demi. They shared the same father after all. If every demi freaked out about having siblings by their deity parent, there wouldn’t be a need for the academy. Cami turned her attention to the other girl.

"Another sister...isn't that just super," Jesse groaned rolling back out of the hammock, leaving behind the semi-comfortable position he had attempted to contort into. "Look sis, I'm sorry, been a very long day and having my...our house completely changed around without warning didn't really help. This place hasn't changed like this before in the five years I've lived here...but that's no excuse to be an arse. Name's Jesse, and I guess I'm your older brother, welcome to our humble home and Academy," he said as politely as he could muster with a war of indignation and frustration still going strong in the back of his mind. "I'd show you around the place, but apparently our dear divine father decided to renovate and redecorate, so I have no bloody clue where anything is at the mo', I know where they were supposed to be, but that's about it," He flopped down on the bed he used quite often, but rarely for sleeping."You've met Cami, our sweet and innocent step-sister, she's essentially family so she pretty much has run of the place, as well as the Tethys House. She's good people, and probably can show you the ropes while I run off to play in the sand with a bunch of arrogant pain in the arse demigods...all thanks to our loving and worshipful father. He could have just let me sleep through the damned meeting, then go over to Jacen's for some fun, but no he decided that was the moment to poke at my conscience, or some such thing, and get me to volunteer for this fool's errand; where I get to be little more than a glorified water boy." sitting up some he looked right at Cami, "No doubt you noticed, that they didn't draft DJ, that Poseidon boy, into going along. Typical demigod bigots..." Jesse wanted to keep grumbling away his spleen, but finally realized he was being a total jack ass. Not all of the demigods were total bastards, well they were in the "traditional" sense of the word, but that was beside the point. That arse-hat Noah did draft Leeland into coming along, even over the Hephaestus boy's protests...but still Jesse couldn't help but feel targeted for some reason. It didn't help that Jacen was going too, well, it did and it didn't. It wasn't likely that they were going to find too much privacy on that floating death trap, not that Jesse minded that too much, but knew Jacen wouldn't care for being an exhibitionist. In all likelihood, the two of them would probably be working the whole damn time; Jacen using his abilities to control the air currents, keeping the ship in the air, and Jesse using his abilities to draw up fresh water springs. But he was dwelling too much on things that were now out of his control. "Anyway, sis, I want to give you a heads up for when we do get back from this idiotic quest. I like to have people over, whenever possible." Jesse couldn't help but smile slyly as he attempted to explain his promiscuous lifestyle without being too crude. "Well, basically, I have people over and we screw like rabbits, and we're not exactly quiet about it. I'll try to give you some warning before anything gos down, but I can't promise anything..." He couldn't help the rather predatory smile that melted onto his face as he considered his options for the night. He was going on a dangerous quest...what better send off could someone give him, than a night of sheer ecstasy... “I’m Jordin Wayne….and I could’ve live my whole life without knowing what you do and with who” Jordin said to her older brother Jesse. She saw him as blunt but she would rather be stuck living with someone who was blunt rather than someone who was constantly lying…even if he screwed like rabbits with his significant other. She turned a bit awkwardly and picked up her stuff going into her room which was right across from Jesse’s. Seeing as Camille was their step-sister and not half sister she figured that this was going to be her room.
The room itself was comprised of blue and white, the walls painted sea blue the furniture were white but on the dresser next to her bed was a conch and other sea shells to decorate it. Even the bedside lamp was decorated with fossils of ancient ocean creatures. The floors were wood the comforter was pure white and so were the shades on the window. She would probably decorate the room a little bit later maybe put up some posters or something but she’d plan that out later. Leaving her suitcases in the room she went back to the living room where Camille and Jesse were. With a bit of a smirk she sat down on the couch and looked at her two siblings.
“So besides Jesse constantly having someone over to his bed buddy any other basic rules I need to know while I’m here?” Jordin asked her voice holding a sarcastic tone to it though that hadn’t been her intention. Sometimes the girl’s voice just had a sarcastic tone to it after years of using sarcasm so it was hard to tell people if she was being sarcastic or sincere. In truth Jordin just wasn’t that great of a people person.
