Alex had just finished her studies and walked out of the main building. The last few weeks had been insane; the no-staff night with the crazy, magic costumes, mid-terms, the holidays with her family, and new years. She'd been studying like crazy and training her abilities. Her last year as a student was almost over and she'd already been told that she'd be welcome to join as a staff next year if she could get a good amount of control over her powers, that would be the hard part. She readjusted the shoulder strap of her backpack in an attempt to even out the weight she was carrying. She tensed up and felt the angry pulse in her head. She gasped and turned, setting her bag on a pedastel near by and examined her backpack, she scowled but relaxed, thankful she'd just seen her backpack break right before it happened.
Alex shifted and pulled a few safety pins from the front pocket of her bag then pinned the zipper shut and hoisted it back onto her shoulder there was a soft zip but it stopped at the zipper held and Alex smiled proudly as she continued walking across the grass. The wind set a soft chill into the air but Alex simply zipped up her jacket. She reached the stone walkway into the gardens and began humming to herself lightly, perhaps she'd even bump into Abdias. The gazebo near the rosebushes finally came into view as the first drops of rain started to fall and again Alex smiled proudly. She'd seen that the gazebo would be empty and would be the perfect dry place to read and study.
Alex sat down on the floor in the center of the gazebo and sat her bag down; she unhooked the pins and pulled out her first textbook and a notepad, "First Biology" Alex stated to herself and sighed, "My least favorite subject..." she rested her left elbox on her knee and opened the book to the chapter her class had read today and then rested her chin on her open hand and started to read over the pages. She paused for a moment and pulled out a large apple from the dining area and slowly munched on it as she read. She would randomly take notes on the important details as she went. The rain still continued to heavily fall, but as far as Alex could tell, no-one would bother her.
