Personality:
Duffy’s face is the type that goes through an entire transformation when she smiles. Her eyes glow, her cheeks blush…She has star, and anyone who tries to deny it is a liar. Whether it is an acquired skill or an unknown and innate talent for making feel people at home, Duff has it. Better yet, she works it. And works it in her favor. Her laughter has this way of drawing people in, because they want to be the cause of that smile.
You have two choices from here; either you hate her or you can tolerate her.
The problem is her changing of personality every mili second. She never gives people enough time to try and figure her out. She couldn’t care less of what others might think of her, she’s more of a ‘you’ve-gotta-take-me-for-who-I-am’ type of person, but generally people love her but just can't tolerate her.
She can seem like a two-time cheating b*tch who couldn’t care less about her friends, though that’s not always the truth. She would do a lot for the people she cares for – of course she would do it her own way, which isn’t always the right way – and she wouldn’t take the credit. You could say she is self less( or at east she likes to think so) in her own coy way.
Contrary on popular belief, Duffy here, hates when people think they owen her some sort of repayment or favour. She’s a master of getting caught at the wrong moment when she’s actually trying to do some good, and it’s never to her favour, but she’s satisfied with being the one knowing the truth. When everything comes down to that she just wants to see her few friends happy than earning their thanks.
Duf’s social skills are impeccable, that of a sales woman. she could sell water in a flood. It comes with the precarious years of having dealt with people, in the dumpsters. She’s the type of person who knows how to bend and shape herself so that she can fit wherever she wants to. her chirping appearance might just fool you. She's one to take on her environment in detail. But She observes, remembers and then she uses it on the floor when needed.
You see she is the type that will always make your head turn, giving her another glade to figure her out. And yet you can't. Could be because she's just a good sport for people and got quite exceptional grades in drama or she is just a self professed awesome lier. Yet Calling Dafne a pathological liar would be a huge exaggeration, but she doesn't mind lying as much as people do –or at all, to be honest, because really, it just comes naturally to her. She never did –and probably never will- have that little voice in her head called "conscious" that told her she should feel guilty if she told her teacher her grandmother died, so she won't be able to sit the next exam because of the heart brake….
Or maybe she does have it – but if she does, she just chooses to ignore it, or muffle it as it were. Honestly? she just doesn't care.they are just little white lies. No matter what the situation, no matter how big (or small) the lie is, she'll say it without batting an eyelash, without feeling guilt or regret, without any fluctuating of his tone that might imply that she is, in fact, lying; she perfected her ability to lie over the years so that, unless you threatened to take away her duffy duck posters scattered around the room or you're a mind-reader, it is highly unlikely that you'll be able to catch her out in a lie – or so she likes to believe, anyway, but then again what you like to believe and what's actually true can be two very different things.
Is she good is he bad? Dafne believes in better knowing what you talk about before opening your mouth, yet she is bold about it. The more you know the easier to get in. In fact she has her own little ways of making you rant, even if it seems she's the one doing all the talking. It might be an attractive quality. Yet, she’s better at adding enemies to her list than friends. She might seem like a sociable doll. Always there for a nice chat, amiable. But you need to earn her friendship, not the other way around.
History:
THIS PART IS W.I.P
Dafne’s early life is a mystery to virtually everyone. What is known, however, is that she grew up leaving as fast as she came to call a place home, even thought her accent would give away the hint of the rural areas of down under. As young girl she had a rough and tumble childhood and learned to handle herself. She didn't really have parental figures seen as her mother was always away on jobs and for all she knew her dad could have just been in prison.
Her mother? Yes, She was a professional thief and con-artist, who enjoyed an exquisite diamond or several and was especially good at getting in and out of tight spaces and dangerous situations. Her parents? They never married, and Duffy was born as an estranged love-child who grew up to escape criminals like them.
On her 7th birthday she woke up to find herself alone. Her mother had gone. At first she had thought to check for a written message. Until she realised she was really gone. when she took a document in her hands stating Her mother left her only daughter with a large inheritance, all in cash with the house already signed under Dafne's name. Her mother's money most likely came from the lucrative business of stealing and pawning off precious items on the black market, but the transactions were so obscure and under the radar that it was never questioned by the government or tax agents.
Her powers manifested that day after her mum's disappearance. There was a knock at the door but no one there to greet, Hopping it was her mother. And those documents where just another of he forge. She ran as fats as she could to the door. Instead she was met with a colossal creature.
Being the daughter of an art dealer by day and a con artist by night, sure hasn't left Dafne without a memorable childhood. Yet it was short lived. Zoomed out of the frame as fast as you can say lightening. Instead it was replaced with a braking trut. Unfortunately, it appeared at a time that she should have been able to look back on fondly.
Before the girl could even understand what was going on she found herself materialised in a different place. In a train station. This is when she encountered a man. Mercury.her father. That fact was not known to Daphne beforehand. "Running, running. Always running." that was the line that he had approached her with.
Flight or fight was her fast response to the stranger yet his aura made her feet glue to the ground. Again before she could process what was going on she was given a rush of memories. And thats how she met her biological father. One parent was replaced by the other. And know she also knew the story of how they met and why her mother and her where always on the run. She would have left the ludicrous business if it wasn't to keep her daughter form getting abducted at the tender age of 4 by a wolf!
Her mother didn't want her her to join The Wolf House. Another character introduced themselves as Lupa, as teh girl already overwhelmed was trying to put back the pieces toghter. in the end both were able to convince Dafne to join her and she eventually raised the girl, as she didn't want her mother to get hurt . She joined the Wolf house. And mercury claimed her as his daughter.
At first her feelings for her new home were resilient an assertive, she was only there because she didn't want anything to happen to her mother. But gradually she became more relaxed and at ear even f she was nostalgic of the changing of scenery. Over time Dafne used her powers even more increasingly on missions. to further the Pro-spartan agenda
Abilities: - agility and stealth - invisibility earring - enhanced reflexes - computer wiz, technologically savvy - adaptable in fighting styles she has become well-experienced in a few martial arts, especially Taekwondo, boxing, and Judo, but has dabbled even more into a variety of others such that her typical defense has come to resemble the more hybrid-like street fighting. And of course, her roman-issued daggers also works just as quickly and effectively in eliminating most threats. She'll choose the most logical way to get the job done.
Weaknesses: - anyone trying to hurt Donald or Ducks - bargaining/ threatening life of her family - suffers claustrophobia - probably the only aussie who can't swim
Other Information: bubble baths are... awesome with rubber ducks x3
