Personality: He is a rather doting person, having been raised with excellent manners. He tries his best to put those around him well at ease. He also has a deep inner need to foster peace and resolve conflicts, this may come from Rhea. He's not sure how to feel about his mother; some would call her hero others traitor. He also doesn't know how to feel about a father who never wanted him. This may be what drives him to try and build relationships with suck my feet him. He's also the kind of person who cooks when he's nervous or stressed, This is most certainly a habit from Mama Delaney. Like any other fourteen year old he's not sure what he's supposed to be, but she does remember what became of Rhea's last child (Zeus).
History: Some women, no matter how smart, regal, sophisticated, kind or wonderful they are, are attracted to monsters. Something in them draws them to the worst of men. This is true of goddesses as well. Rhea was attending an OBGYN convention. She met a doctor who was the worst of men cruel and abusive. When she told him that she was with child, he was gone before she could tag on "Oh, and I'm a goddess." She knew she couldn't raise her child herself, and she was not about to let that man raise her child, so she went to find a mortal she could trust with her child.
That Mortal was "Mama" Delaney Cormier. Delaney was born and raised in New Orleans where her father had made a small fortune in real estate and land. She was a large matronly black woman who for a variety of reason never had children of her own. When Rhea approached Mama Delaney, at first the woman was in disbelief, unable to reconcile her catholic beliefs with the goddess in front of her. But the moment she set eyes on the baby in Rhea's arms, there was nothing else. Before the goddess left though, Mama Delaney did ask her that little question; "Why me?" Rhea didn't speak her answer but flipped something through the air. Mama Delaney caught it. It was a common Mardi Gras throw, a Krewe Coin. This one was stamped "Krewe of Rhea". The Krewe that Mama Delaney just happened to be in charge of.
Mama Delaney deflected questions about a black woman adopting a white boy with a little humor. She raised with love and kindness. She taught him to cook, and he grew up listening to the music in the big easy. Rode on floats in the parades tossing coins cups beads. In school he was always the kid bringing in food and trying to get between others who were fighting. He wasn't always successful, but he did try. When he was twelve he saw a girl crying in the hall and asked her what was wrong. She had just moved there and people were making fun of her for all the things she didn't know, like french, mardi gras, and other things. The next day he brought in a cake that welcomed the new girl. As everyone was enjoying the cake (that he'd made himself (Mama Delaney decorated it) they heard a strange thumping nose. Thump-Thump. Thump-Thump. For thirty second they looked for the source, not realizing it was the sound of DD's heart. He'd just been claimed.
That was unfortunately what started the trouble. His abilities began to emerge and monsters scented him. They tracked him down in the middle of a Mardi Gras parade. Giants in the crowd started to attack. At first Mama Delaney thought it was just some rowdy tourists. But as she took DD's hand, she saw them for what they were. They ran. She grabbed a near by sailor, apparently in port on leave and slapped three hundred dollars in his hand with only the instructions "Take my son to our home."
She broke a leg and arm in the small riot, but the giants gave chase to DD and not Mama Delaney. As soon as they were in the house though, the giants seem to find chasing impossible. Mama Delaney had had everyone from the Dioscese Bishop to the local Houngan (Voodon priest) place protections on the house.
The next day while visiting Mama Delaney in the hospital, Mama Delaney told DD about his real mother. Unable to believe this, he ran from the building. He'd run for blocks before he realized he'd come to one of the infamous cemetaries of New Orleans, and there was a woman in the cemetary, with black and white skin. He approached her thinking she was a ghost, trying to find some reason. She was Melinoe, goddess of ghosts. Upon seeing him she took a step back, and then curtsied. She explained the Academy and his options. He wanted to stay with Mama Delaney and tried to make it work for two years, when there were two more attacks (Telhkines and Empousas) and only being saved by returning to the house, he knew he would need to learn to fight them.
Abilities:While he is as strong as an child of the big three, he does not have the training to use it. Most of his supernatural abilities are not offensive. First is that his blood doesn't run out, no matter how much you bleed him. Second, with great effort and concentration he can change the flow of any fluid, but it is not something he could do quick enough to use in a fight. Third people have instinctual reaction to him, men think he needs to be protected, they are not forced to, but they do have a slight urge to. If he is around a woman during "THAT" time of the month, her flow will increase, but the rest of her symptoms will vanish. His most impressive ability doesn't work on monsters, mortals, or half-bloods. Gods recognize him as an equal (HE IS NOT, but he is the child of Rhea). How they react to this will vary from god to god, some may greet him with courtesy others will be personally offended.
Weaknesses: Given his flow changing capability is too difficult to use in combat he has no special abilities to help him in fights and actually has no experience in fighting.
Other Information: Excellent cook, and actually will cook at when stressed, and has a habit of calling people things like "Honey", "Sugar", "Darlin'" and other such maternal terms of affection. Slated for the first open spot in the Krewe of Rex when he turns twenty-one. He is fluent in french, English, and the mish-mash of them both that is Creole Cajun.
RP Sample Today was the day, he reminded himself. He stepped into the kitchen wearing a gold vest, with matching slacks and flat-cap and tie. He rolled up his sleeves as he observed the large coolers in the middle of the kitchen. He opened them up and grinned widely. He grabbed hose connected to one of the dish washing sinks and added a bit more cold water. He then set about to gathering his weapons for today’s war. Okay, war was a bit of an overstatement. He had noticed the distinct distrust between the kids of the Olympians and the kids of Titans and Monsters. He had checked with Pontos, sent a letter to Mama Delaney, and she’d come through with flying colors. This was going to be so good. There were the spices he was looking for. He pulled down a large plastic container and mixed a large amount of the spices. He was preparing for an ancient Cajun tradition; Crawfish boil. He continued to bustle around the kitchen grabbing the corn on the cob and breaking it in half or thirds, the potatoes and cutting them in half. He would have preferred to throw in Andouille sausage, but the school brawts would have to do. He was making do without a lot of things in this kitchen. He got the water into his pot and set the spurs to it, as Mama would have put it. All the while he was humming a zydeco tune. He missed the music of the French Quarter, so lively and energetic, even when at funerals. Any time he muttered as he whirled through the kitchen it was in French, which he’d been fluent in since he could remember. He checked his watch, still plenty of time. He started to put the seasoning in to the water, not all of what he’d mixed, in case he needed to refresh later, but a good bit. Then in went the potatoes, those took the longest to cook, next the corn. He prepped the ovens and then threw in the rolls he’d prepped the night before and left to rise. It was Mama Delaney’s spice recipe, they’d need the bread. Next he threw in the crawfish and the sausage. He looked out into the Dining area it was getting full, but no one was sat down yet. He nodded to the school cook to take over while he went outside. He walked into the dining area to see people milling amongst their own kind and casting mistrustful glances at each other. He put his fingers to his lips and let out a blast of a whistle. One had to learn a skill like that to get attention during a Mardi Gras parade. “It has come not only to my attention, but to the attention of the staff that we have a serious gap in school unity. We let the divisions of our parents decide that we will be divided. That’s why I’ve called this meal today. So sit down at the table on the side of the room you’re on.” No one moved for a moment. “SIT DOWN,” He barked, doing his best to emulate Mama Delaney’s ability to command. It had worked at they moved for the table. And just as he’d planned, every Olympian child was across from the child of a monster or Titan. He gave a motion to the kitchen and they started bringing out platters piled high with bright red crawfish whole and cooked to perfection. Between each pair of rival half-bloods a platter was sat. “Now, you are going to share this meal,” he told them. “One of you is going to have the paper towles, the other will have the pitcher of tea. You will supply each other as you need it.” He finally sat down at the end of the long table to a platter shared between two others already. He grabbed one of the mudbugs, as all eyes were on him. He ripped it in half, and pinched the tail to squeeze out the meat. He considered sucking the head just to freak them out, but he wanted them to actually eat their meal. He drank form his sweet tea and continued to eat. It wasn’t long before they realized why the paper towels were there. The spice food left hot eye burning residue on your fingers, not to mention the innards of the tiny beasts. Some kids got into it really going at it, others remained timid. Not necessarily of the food but having to share with the person across from them. DD raised his head to advise them, “I’ve been allowed to tell you that this is going to be the only meal of the day and unless you eat civilly with your partner, you remain here until you do. Why had he done all of this, cooked crawfish for people who probably thought it was gross or too hot? He didn’t like them fighting. He’d done some research. Rhea was counted both among the Titans and the Olympians. That meant that he was both; Titan and Olympian child. He felt that should mean something. Maybe, just maybe, he could figure out a way for all of them to live in peace. For now that was a bit of a pipe dream, but eating in peace sure was a nice start. He forgot what he was doing and caused those nearest to him to stare in shock as he sucked the head of his latest crawfish. “That’s good juices there,” he explained a little weakly. Mama Delaney had done that and not done that, depending on the setting. She’d always foregone doing it in front of the squeamish, knowing that for some (Yankees) it was already hard to eat crawfish, but seeing the head sucked on could turn them off entirely. DD felt like he’d forgotten his manners a bit there. Things were going very well, they looked very promising, until the first Titan used his spicy figners offensively. Oh, well. Better break up the fight.

Alright, as a son of Rhea we expect the applications to be pretty lengthy and impeccable. We are very picky considering Rhea is the most powerful Titan and can rival the Olympians. So an offspring needs to be looked at thoroughly.
Again, I'm not sure if this is a work in progress... But it needs more work. And a rp sample of 1000+ Since you don't currently have 3 active characters.

Ok if you want a Rhea kid, you really need to blow us away. This needs to be reworked and beefed up. The one major thing that needs to be changed is the fact that he was raised by Rhea, that can not happen. Gods and Titans are forbidden from having that much contact with their demi children.
The Sample post needs to be 1000+ words at the absolute minimum. We're talking about a character that is technically a half-brother of Zeus and the rest of the Big Three, that's a pretty powerful character even if they are just a demi. So keep that in mind as you rework this some.

Everything sounds good, but can you add more to his personality? A paragraph consisting of 5-10 sentences would be okay. Specify what makes him tick, what he is like around other people, what he thinks of himself, how he feels about being a child of Rhea, etc. When you're done, just reply with, "Edited."
