After the disaster of a quest Noah had lead, culminating in Noah's brief imprisonment at the very Gates of Death, and the rediscovery of the Roman demigods, Noah and Joelle had been summoned by Hades to the Underworld. They were to carry out task for him, but as soon as they arrived, Joelle and Persephone started fighting. Noah did his best to stay in the shadows, he was fairly certain his sister had forgotten he was in the Underworld with her. That was probably for the best. He didn't want to get between them when they were fighting. That was a fate worse things than death. He loved his sister, as much as he was capable of, and had developed a grudging respect for Persephone, spending a couple of weeks as daisy had that effect on people; but when they started fighting, well it may have been blasphemous to say, but there wasn't a force on Heaven, Earth or the Underworld like it
Things had gotten a bit easier when Persephone left to join Demeter for their time together, except that Hades became even more moody. Noah had done his best to stay out of the way, just doing the duties his father had bid him, and spending as much time in quiet solitude as he could muster. He had even been extremely careful to ensure that he always took his meals outside of the Underworld, an action he wouldn't even have considered just a few short years ago.
His time imprisoned at the Gates of Death, and the summer in the Underworld had changed him, the reflection in the mirror no longer seemed his own. He was taller, leaner, and much more mature than he had been. He couldn't be sure that his sister would even recognize him, when he returned to the school.
He turned to one of his Skeletal servants, "Is all prepared for my arrival?" He asked in a quiet voice.
All is ready my Lord,
"Very well. I shall depart in 10 minutes. If things are not prepared as they are supposed to be, you do know what that will mean, correct?"
If it were possible for a fleshless skeleton to flinch and show fear, this one would have. As generous a master as Noah could be, he was also pitiless and brutal when the need arose. Early in the summer one of the servants had tried to give Noah some fruits from Persephone's garden, and rather than rage at the hapless reanimated bones, he had it bound in Stygian Iron chains, hung upside down from the tree for a week as a warning to the others, before he threw the bones to the Hellhounds to devour.
Yes my Lord, I know what will happen if I fail in my duties, the skeleton's voice betrayed its fear as it spoke in Noah's mind. Good, Noah thought. A little fear is healthy.
"Very well. The be about your business," Noah turned to his closet checking to be sure he had everything, silently grateful that he checked, his new studded belt was hanging there forgotten. He slipped it on over his narrow waist, pulling at a stud on either side of his hips, watching the studs transform into twin Stygian Iron swords. With grim satisfaction he reattached them to his belt watching them revert once more to inconspicuous studs.
Finally satisfied that he had everything he reached into the shadows and allowed the darkness to consume him. In an instant he traveled from the depths of the Underworld, to the Hades House at the Academy.
He appeared on his polished obsidian throne, lounging comfortably, much as his father did when holding court. Now sooner did he appear than his servants arrived bearing a wine cup, and a tray of what appeared to be cheeses. He took a sizable sip of the divine brew waving off the servant, then taking a piece of the would be cheese, nibbling at it daintily. Content, he waved off both servants, happy that his plan had worked.
He hadn't been eating much, considering the amount of work it involved to get away from the Underworld to feed and not be trapped. So, he had arranged for some Ambrosia and Nectar to be disguised as mortal food, so he could keep up his strength. With all of the Shadow traveling he had been doing, it was really the only thing that sustained him at the moment.
"Bring in the fish course with a nice dry white wine," he instructed, ready for some real food for a change. "Oh,lick my nostril Joelle, would you care to join me for small meal, I'm simply famished?"

Joelle walked the halls of the Olympus corridors, her black and red stilettos clicking against the marble floors. She was dressed in black skinny jeans and a shirt that seemed to be cut specifically like she was attacked by a nemean lion or something with claws. Large cut marks streaking down the back of it revealing just a glimpse of her skin. She wore her signature sunglasses and her hair was in a messy-style. Two skeletons cloaked in shimmery black Greek groves flanked behind her but she didn't pay them much attention. As they walked the crowded hallways seemed to part in either respect or fear she didn't know nor care.
Turning a couple corners she arrived at Dorm 13 and opened the door only to be greeted by Autumn and Fluffy the giant hellhounds. The skeletons seemed to freeze in fear though and decided to remain outside to guard the entrance. Autumn wasn't as giant as Fluffy was but she was fierce and intelligent, much like her owner. Fluffy however was a smart hellhound but give him a big enough chew toy and you could very well become his best friend. "Who's a good devil dog? You are!" Joe cooed to the hades cabin pets, scratching them behind the ears as she closed the door behind her. Today had been her first day back to the cabin in a long time. Of course she had left with Noah in the first place to visit the Underworld, but once she got there it was kinda like Persephone was her main focus. "..Turn me Into a dandelion HA! how'd you like your garden to look more like your soul?" she mumbled to herself at the memory. Flicking her wrist as her black obsidian marble throne chair poofed into place. She sat in it with a huff and used a ball to throw around the room with Fluffy.
Fluffy was so huge that even when he seemed to only take one step one direction, he would actually end up toppling over a couple chairs and a table or two. But Joe didn't mind, she could snap her fingers and it would all fix itself in a matter of minutes.
After her return to camp and the battle in the arena, she was more then a little moody. Her hazel eyes seemed to focus on only the dark colors instead of the light, and her continuing questions that no one seemed to want to answer was: Where the Hell is Noah?.. Did he come back from the castle yet? Did Persephone turn him into a daisy again?.. She felt her lips fall into an unamused frown when one of the skeletons tried to saunter in without being seen. He was doing pretty okay until both hellhounds seemed to see him at the same time. In which they trampled everything in their path to get to him. In confusion the skeletons' bones decided that they want to go into different directions and resulted in splitting in half. From the waist up it decided to go left and from the waist down it decided to go right. Leaving the top half to crumble into a pile on the floor and the bottom half walking around clueless cause he didn't have a head.
All in all it left Joelle wondering why she let her father talk her into keeping these two skeletons. Supposedly they were intelligent and in their former lives were quite known for it. But Joe didn't care. All she knew was that if they tried to 'check her out' again the last thing they'd see would be the booboo box. A little invention Joe thought of making after seeing a man shoved into a box and his worst fears shoved in there with them.
Yawning, Joe blinked and by the time she opened her eyes her brother was to her right being fed cheese squares. Usually the normal person would be surprised by this sudden Appearance but being raised a child of Hades, things could start failing to surprise you. Instead she turned to the skeleton whom was going to get the fish, "and get me the fillet mignon with your choice of wine." the skeleton seemed to be a bit shocked that shed leave the choice to him and it made Joe's expression change just by the look in her eyes. "Red." she spoke, the word layered with disdain. The skeleton seemed to forget everything for a moment and shivered in fear before running off to fetch their meals.
Turning her gaze over to Noah she gave him a small smile, mostly with the eyes rather then a full expression. Though that dark color was there it seemed to dim since her brothers' arrival. "I'd love to." she spoke with a nod, "I presume Persephone's lunch offer was inadequate?" she tries to keep her face composed to a small smile.

Noah's stomach growled involuntarily, even after the ambrosia and nectar, Fluffy growled back confused. Noah waved off the devil dog frowning.
"Let's just say that the Underworld diet does wonders when you want to lose weight. Added with the fact that the only people I worked with were skeletons...I still felt like a fat ass," he commented dryly taking a plate of fish and a obsidian goblet of wine. Taking a few bites and a sip of wine he continued.
"On the up side I've learned the exact limits my body can take, and for how long, it was very educational. I trust your summer was just as, ahem, enlightening," a thin smile creased his pale features. It wasn't often that he tried to provoke his sister. He loved her as much as he was capable of love, for a long time she had been the only family he had. But some times he just needed to push her buttons, just to get her all fired up.
"How was the garden by the way?" hiding his smile behind his wine glass. He was certain she knew he wasn't being malicious, but there were times when Joelle's wrath rivaled that of their father's, especially when it came to Persephone.
"At least she seems to be gone from the Academy for a while. I guess Demeter threatened to send a world wide drought or something, if Prissy didn't come home.," Noah leaned back against his seat and towards his sister as he crossed his legs against the arm rest of his chair. "Although, I do wish she would stop planting Lewis in her garden, it's getting more and more difficult to transplant him out of there," He looked over at the Lewis-daisy resting on a window sill.
"I'm not sure how I can save him this time, I almost locked myself in the Fields of Punishment the last time I was forced to go shopping with her and Demeter...I'd rather be lit on fire for eternity than go through that again..." he mused, studying the flower intently. It would be tragic if now that he was a daisy again, Lewis would limited to a typical daisy life span. Slithering off his throne Noah snatched up the goblet of nectar and upended it over the potted flower. The daisy seemed to grow and glow a bit, looking healthier and fuller.
"I'm loathed to 'waste' good nectar on a flower, but if it buys Lewis some extra time..." it was rare that Noah allowed himself any sentimentality, but he couldn't help it this time. It was his friendship with Lewis that had resulted in the other boy's fate as flower. Little pains of guilt would haunt him until he found a way to free the other boy.
Sighing wearily he draped himself back over his throne. "Rumor has it that there's a daughter of Pluto here now, or at least that's what the boneheads keep saying. What are we to think of her? Is she our sister, or is she another outsider? It makes no difference to me,"

Joelle Rested her head against her palm as she listened to Noah speak of Underworld Diet Programs. Her attention perking up a bit when her plate of steak arrived, sipping the wine with a small smile as she listened. But it would seem that ten seconds of disdain-free seemed to slip away quicker then it came. Her facial expression darkened a bit and she set down her goblet, picking up the knife and fork she examined the silverware. "Oh it was bloody brilliant," she spoke annoyed- expressing her emotions through her hands and waving the steak knife around absentmindedly as she talked, "I shadow travel into the castle and not two minutes after I walk around the wench turns me into a Dandelion! 'Sorry sweetheart please keep your distance I don't want you ruining your new home!' " Joe spoke in an almost perfect mimic of Persephone's voice, "And by home she meant the garden.. So what'd I do after she turned me back? I took a walk." she said with a bit of a smug tone, stabbing into the steak as she cut off a piece and chewed it.
Though 'taking a walk' to the normal person could seem like a harmless act, none of them had seen Joelle. The difference between them would probably be that when Joe took a stroll through a flourishing garden, anywhere she stepped it would kill and wilt all the plants within ten feet if she wanted. Concidering the size of Prissy's garden though, it ended up draining her for a good day or two and waking up to pansys infiltrating everywhere she looked after being tired and cranky wasn't a good way to go.
She looked up from her plate to glance at Noah watering Lewis the Daisy and sighed. "it's not a waste.. He's still a demigod. Just.. A bit less talkative.." she felt her expression change at her fail of attempted comfort. Usually she'd be able to say something wise or witty to make Noah feel better but her emotions were still on the fritz. "We'll find a way to fix him.. If I have to light Prissy on fire again.. Erh her dress spontaneously combusts without any help from me.. We'll get him back to normal." she said with a small smile, patting his arm a bit before sighing.
"Apparently we do.. There was a Roman/Greek/Titan ect. Battle in the arena earlier which turned into a team up against some monsters.. I shadow traveled right into it and saw the girl fighting. Though I didn't talk to her.. She seemed a bit preoccupied so I dunno if she's friend or foe. Though I think like we do with everyone else we shouldnt let our guard down.. Fathers child or not." she shrugged, sipping her wine and taking another bite of fillet mignon. Joe swung her legs over one arm of her throne and laid back. "what do you think?"

Noah couldn't help a wry smile as he observed his sister's posture, they evidently had picked up traits from one another, or perhaps that was some inherent trait from Hades that no one really knew about. He considered it for a moment, perhaps when their father wasn't holding court he was prone to utter boredom, just as they were. But then he considered some of their more famous siblings, Adolf Hitler, Grigori Rasputin, Benito Mussolini, Hirohito, he couldn't imagine any one of them lounging about on thrones as they were, but then again he didn't much care for the idea of acting like them if he could avoid it.
"I haven't really met her yet, so I don't know what to think. But you know me, if a person isn't one of 'us', that automatically makes them one of 'them'. But, I would be willing to give her a fair chance. Perhaps we should invite her over for a diner party, I'm sure Cook Badly could whip up something that could appeal to our dear half-sister once removed," he snapped his fingers ordering a skeleton dressed in the tattered remains of a black tuxedo.
"Send our compliments to the Daughter of Pluto, and extend our invitation to dine together here at the Hades House at..." he paused unsure when would be a good time. The Academy was very similar to the old Camp Half-Blood in many ways, but in others the rules were much more flexible.
"Let's go with 8 o'clock, oh and remind her that we dress for dinner," Noah smirked rather enjoying this snobbish attitude at the moment.
"Cook," he summoned another flickering skeleton in an old cook's dress.
"Let's have something to remind us of home, but no Pomegranates. We don't need reminders of out dear step-mother this evening. You," he motioned to another skeleton in formal dress. "Bring out some good wine, not the best, this is only a small family get together, and arrange some sort of entertainment for us as well," he ordered, his energy suddenly flagging, maintaining all of these servants was certainly beginning to take its toll.
"And bring me some more 'wine' and 'cheese' I'm feeling a bit parched." He knew he wasn't fooling Joelle by using aliases for his ambrosia and nectar, but for some reason it felt "right" to continue with the charade. He sipped at his goblet, enjoying the burning sensation that coursed through his body as the godly liquid filled his stomach.
"Much better, thank you. How are the prospects on the 'man-front' this year? I'm sure Leeland is still making his rounds, and that titan boy what was his name? Ah yes Jesse. The pair of them have probably visited most every bed in the school between them," Noah was just making conversation, not really all that interested in the boys around the school right now. Perhaps later he would find some young, dumb boy for an evening, at least until he figured out how to restore Lewis.
"Oh, I nearly forgot. Do you remember Lewis' friend from the Underworld, that skeletal reindeer, 'Boner'? Apparently, father thought it would be amusing for it to take up residence in the woods here at the Academy. I'm sure the monsters in there will be in for quite a shock when they try to eat him," The thought of some stupid monster being impaled on Boner's antlers brought a thin smile to Noah's lips. He would have to make a point to visit the reindeer, and perhaps bring Lewis-daisy with him.

"Sounds like a plan to me.." she yawned as her thoughts started running around everywhere. She couldn't get Persephone out of her mind but i had only been a day since she was in the Underworld. In some freaky weird way she actually kind of missed her, when they weren't arguing or causing collateral damage to one another- Persephone seemed actually pretty kind in Joe's eyes. She wasn't sure when their nonexistent relationship went from neutral straight to south but it had taken a toll on the both of them. She never really talked to The goddess often before her move into the Underworld, if she had it was usually a quick hi and bye or just having a conversation with her father. In truth, Joe didn't want to hate her. But being the eldest bastard child of her husband it kind of ruled out the option of being "friends". Joelle assumed the hatred started to stir when Persephone food out she'd be staying in the underworld for a month. I mean seeing your lovers' mistake walking around you constantly every day would make Joe pissed aswell. In a way she did fear Persephone. She had a large influence on her father, and though father was lenient with Joe's punishments didn't necessarily mean he woulnt change his mind. In a way she could have prevented all this, she could have left the garden alone or been good or done something other then everything she did. But Joelle was stubborn. She isnt one to walk around letting people turn her into dandelions for amusement. God or not. But there was no way for her to fix it now, sure she could apologise, beg or grovel. She frowned at those thoughts. She could jump off a high cliff into shark infested waters but in a way that would just force Persephone to be with her six months every year. And death wasnt exactly an option for the moment. She thought of all this while Noah was giving out orders, she noted the 'wine' and 'cheese' bit and turned her head to give him a raised brow. "Actually i wouldn't know really, last I heard the two have been certainly getting busy while we were away.. I can't walk into the girls locker room once without hearing of the same 'most beautiful and sexy moment of their lives!'" she ended the sentence with a high pitched bubbly girl voice that reminded her of legally blonde. She rolled her eyes. Joe nearly spat out her wine at the mention of Boner the Reindeer. She quickly gulped it down and dabbed her mouth with her napkin, "Oh Gods.. That creature better not come anywhere near me.. Its already tried .. Attacking me.. " she shifted uncomfortably, "Until I broke it's legs. But the bloody thing keeps putting itself back together.." she sighed and really looked at her brother. He had changed so much over the passing month. He was leaner, more fit. His hair was longer and he seemed more confident in a way. She sighed. Sometimes she with she wasn't so rash with her actions.. So.. Stubborn. She wished she could just fade into the background like Noah had in the underworld. Practically become invisible and stay out of the godly eye. She certainly didn't want to become a flower again.. Joelle looked at Lewis and imagined how much Noah must feel watching his friend have the life span of a daisy. She couldn't even imagin something like that happening to her. She'd be distraught. "Let's just hope this roman isn't so... Roman." she said it in a way that meant they hated all Greeks and being in the presence of one might want to kill them. ~~ Word count: 705 Muse: Emotional Notes;; Maggie if your reading all this I don't want you to think i meant to godmod D: you were gone for like ever I didn't know if you were coming back Tags;; Noah and Joelle <3
