Thanks to Persephone, Noah hadn't gotten anywhere near enough rest, but the call of duty seemed to penetrate the haze of exhaustion and press the boy on ward. He tugged at his shimmering black dinner jacket, giving himself a once over. His shirt and tie a vision in platinum, since Noah absolutely refused to wear white. His trousers smooth and wrinkle free, his hair slicked back, and shoes highly polished, there was just one thing missing...a button hole for his lapel. Normally, he would do with out and not give it a second thought, but after their...arrangement in his dreams, Noah felt obligated to wear a red rose on his lapel. No doubt Joelle or Riven would have something to say about that, but he didn't particularly care at the moment. "I trust everything is in order?" Noah demanded of his skeletal servant. The undead creature handed him a slip of paper with what Noah presumed to be the seating arrangement for this evening's dinner party. "What's this? You have The children of Hades on one side of the table, and Neha on the other side of the table, by herself...no this wont do at all." Noah shoved the paper back at the skeleton insisting the servant correct it's mistake. "Firstly, the head and foot of the table are to remain vacant, but full settings will be placed, and food will be served. These places are reserved for our Father, and Queen Persephone," The world stuck in his throat, but he managed to force it out without too much discomfort. "Then there are to be six guests. Joelle will be in the center seat on the right, I shall be in the center seat on the left. Riven will sit to Joelle's right, while Neha sits to my right. On my left will sit...Priscilla Montgomery," it was against his nature to invite a child of Persephone, in any of her aspects, to dinner, but Noah had felt the small gesture might serve as a bit of a peace offering. "To Joelle's left will sit one of the Roman men, I don't recall which one. Everyone has been informed that this is a semi-formal dinner party I trust," he gave the skeleton a pointed look, the creature nodded so vigorously it's skull nearly came off. "Very good. See that everything is ready, I will be in the Common Room, where we will have drinks before dinner. Be so kind as to sent Joelle my compliments and request that she join me there, before our guests arrive." Joelle clicked her heels down the hallway as hard as she could without breaking them. Her expression was absolute seething anger, wherever her gaze landed a student would cower away or hide. Her two skeleton servants were flanking behind her, one of them plucking thorns from her arms and sides while the other cleaned the wounds. This morning had to have been the worst of this month. First she awoke to her entire bedroom, COVERED in pansys. And these pansys weren't normal- oh no. They were HUGE; Like the size of Statues huge. On top of that, all of them had thorns that waged from the sizes of fingernails to the size of her arm. It was like the worlds largest death trap. And Joe was sleeping in the middle of it. She had a small immunity to pain, and hadn't even noticed the small thorns that wedged themselves into her skin in the middle of the night. Apparently they had a feature that if you touched one it would grow and possibly stab you. It was a nightmare. By the time she had gotten out of her room in barely one piece, she had thorns everywhere. The only thankful place that was unmarked was her face. Everything hurt so bad she wanted to cry, but of course she was so livid pissed that she couldn't. She couldn't touch the thorns herself or they would grow in her skin, but luckily the skeletons were able to. She walked to Noah's room first but he hadn't been there and to Riven's second. That's when she found out what had really happened. What was left of her brother's belongings were strewn out across the room, toppled over and ruined. There wasn't a thing in there that could be recovered without a lot of power. She fumed so much that she screamed bloody murder in Italian at her skeleton servants. Even toppled over one of the tables despite the pain it caused in her hands because of the thorns. It took while for her to "calm" down, but she got to the point where she could contain herself. She made the servants get her clothes from the closet in her room. And was glad that most of the wounds were on her arms and legs rather then her feet and torso. So she could wear her dress and heels. Joe twitched back into the present when one of the skeleton servants plucked a thorn from her shoulderblade, "OW! Watch it." she growled through clenched teeth over her shoulder. He muttered a small apology and went back to work as she rounded the last corner. She pushed the doors to the Commons Room open as they banged against the walls. Her expression completely blank, not caring about the noise or the way she had entered. She wore a sleek black turtletail dress, with red and black heels. Her hair was done up beautifully and she had a black Filagree choker necklace. All in all it looked like she had had a wonderful morning. Like she hadn't wanted to run a blade through someone's skull over and over and over. To anyone else they wouldn't be able to tell she was livid, but to Noah he could probably see it bright as day. Her normal hazel eyes depicted her emotions like a picture. Such a dark brown it was almost impossible to see her pupils. She looked him over and nodded approvingly, the only thing missing would be the red tea rose for his boutonnière. She wasn't surprised, Prissy must have gotten to him to. She seemingly glared at the flower for a split second before looking up at her brother. She wanted to give him a hug. Which was a bit odd for her, but in truth this whole morning was awful. Unfortunately she couldn't, she didn't want to risk the already deep thorns that still stuck into her arms, shoulders and hands. She was bleeding but whenever the servants saw it they would clean it up and pull out the bandages. "Hello Noah." she spoke, her voice wasn't as confident as she had planned it to be. She knew he had called her in here for a reason, he must have seen Riven's room aswell. "What do i do.." she unclenched her jaws, her voice breaking a bit. She knew this was all her fault, Lewis being turned into a daisy, Riven being kicked out, the thorns, everything. Normally she wouldn't ever show signs of weakness, it wasn't befitting of the eldest- let alone the eldest of Hades. But Noah was her right hand, she was closer to him then she was to Nico or Riven. "Leave us." she spoke in an Icesickle tone to the skeletons. They tried to persist and point at her wounds but she grossed her teeth and they got the hint- shutting the door behind them. Joe walked over to an empty spot of the room and sighed, her breath lingered in the air as dark smoke for a secod before sticking together and forming her throne chair. She sat down and rubbed her jawline, watching Noah hesitantly. She knew how much anger he must have had. For her jepordising their family over something as little as pride. She was going to have to fix all of this. ~~ Notes: I know it's not that great :(sorry. Mood: Livid Muse: Good Word Count: 791 Outfit: tada.

Noah was growing impatient, he had sent the servants to fetch Joelle, what 10 minutes ago? Surely that was enough time to make herself presentable. He grumbled walking over to a crystal decanter filled with a ruby red liquid and poured a drink. This who feud between Hades' bastards and Persephone was reaching a breaking point. Not only had Noah been targeted for Prissy's spleen, but Riven as well. The poor boy's room looked like an evil Chihuahua had been locked in their for days, and the servants kept refusing to acknowledge his existence. It got to the point that Noah had to threaten them with his Stygian Iron sword, before they reluctantly set him a place for dinner. He knew that convincing the boneheads to allow the boy into the house was going to be a Herculean task.
"Hello Noah," Joelle's voice was terse and pained. "Please have a seat," Noah answered without looking at her, just swirling the fluid in his glass. "Would you care for a drink?" he asked pouring her one anyway. He turned holding both drinks, noticing the scratches all over Joelle's flesh. Noah frowned think she had been playing some dirty game with one of the campus perverts again, probably that Leeland, or Jesse again.
"What did I do?" He sighed handing her the drink. "I'm afraid you already know," Noah replied impassibly noticing that Joelle's attendants we're just fussing over her dress, but pulling out, what appeared to be thorns, from her exposed flesh.
"Prissy strikes again," Noah thought sourly as Joelle dismissed the servants.
"I'm afraid I had a visit from our dear sweet step-mother this evening." He tried to keep his voice clam and level as though Persephone paid house calls on him all of the time. "She apparently has been holding a grudge from our visit," his mind still ached from their contest of wills in his dream. "Something about you setting her on fire, and killing her gardens, I didn't ask for details, as you know, as far as I'm concerned any business between you and her, stays between you and her. Unfortunately, however, she does not have the same policy." his words were cold and formal, and he couldn't help but stand ram rod straight. It seemed to be his only defense, keeping a cool detachment, distancing himself from the drama, as much as he could. Normally, he would have a plan of some sort to get out of these unfortunate situations, and he had had one, but Prissy smacked it down and Noah with it.
"We, being all of us, must find a way to make amends or her wrath will only worsen." suddenly weary he sat down heavily in his chair. "I have taken the liberty of inviting Father and Queen Persephone, as well as her daughter, what's her face, Priscilla Queen of the desert...whatever her name is, to dinner, along with Neha and another of her Roman Colleagues." He took a sip of his drink gauging Joelle's reaction. It was evident they were both feeling the strain, playing nice with Persephone and her children went against their nature...right down to the bone, but when needs must, and all that.
"Look, I'm trying to throw her a bone, show that we aren't the ungrateful savages Zeus' children are. And I truly believe we have no choice but to try and make peace with her, otherwise we'll be made miserable for eternity. She knows us and our, dare I say, weaknesses, it's more her style to use those weakness than to simply smash us like Hera would."
He took another drink trying to organize his thoughts."We need to figure out how to get Persephone to lift her order on banning Riven from the House. Or at the least come up with a way to smuggle him in for a little while. I suppose we could send the dogs to get him, and guard him until our Queen decides to lift her order..." He gave Joelle a tired look, not really angry with her, so much as the situation, and just tired of fighting...for the time being.

Neha shuffled awkwardly down the halls in her heels, standing as close towards the wall as she possibly could without looking like she was going to tip over and lunge for it. Neha was never very fond of heels. She had normally preferred flats, sneakers or even sandals but given the nature of this gathering, one of her Roman companions had suggested heels just so she'd look somewhat classy. Neha had grudgingly agreed since they shot down her idea of just wearing Roman Battle wear to the thing. She ended up settling with a somewhat casual looking dress they had pulled out from the closet of one of the daughters of Venus (who had giggled like mad when they realized the daughter of Pluto was asking for clothing advice) and some nice heels. They had just forgotten that Neha couldn't exactly wear them without falling over. She could handle dresses but not heels. Which was why Neha ended up looking a little awkward as she entered the room, the massive dining hall where her fellow siblings were gathered; Noah, Joelle some skeletons and there were obviously places for other people.
Neha's brain flickered, remembering a potential seating arrangement a skeleton had brought her before another skeleton had came in with a different chart. Her eyes flickered over the table and remembered that the previous chart had her sitting on her own on one side with the Grecian children on the other. She hadn't minded honestly. The chart was probably one of her step-mother's things. She never liked Pluto or Hades' children and she probably wanted the rift between Romans and Grecians to continue to exist so at some point they'd just kill each other off but then another skeleton had came in and showed her a different chart. Noah had planned that one. She had been surprised, slightly, by the new chart.
The seating arrangement had Neha sitting next to her brother as opposed to being by herself, again not that Neha had minded terribly being by herself. Neha hadn't been epic-ally fond of Noah, especially before the Roman movement towards the academy. Her father had compared them sometimes but of course, Neha felt that she was compared to a lot of people. She had been compared once (she had eavesdropped mind you) on a few Romans; comparing Neha to Nicky Alexander and Tony du Rone. Technically, at the time, Neha should have been praeter but she hadn't cared and thus Tony, then Nicky had taken her place. Neha had heard some flack for that. Not from her father but she had heard some plants before and she had taken her daggers to them.
Speaking of her daggers, Neha felt really unprotected without them. Her daggers were normally strapped to her arms and wearing a dress, Neha felt that wearing and bringing her daggers was unneeded. It was as if she was going to declare war on them by bringing them. Of course, like most Romans, she wasn't without weapons and the weight of one of her smaller, practice daggers strapped to her left thigh (the weapon concealed by the length of her dress) made her feel slightly better. Only slightly. Her dark eyes flickered over her siblings and noted their states. Joelle, her eldest sister looked like flowers had attacked her but honestly, with all children of Pluto and Hades, that wasn't new. Neha had been saved slightly from running into a field of Neha-Eating plants by Grendel who had warned her slightly in advance before she left her rooms.
Neha had gotten away with a slight scratch on her upper arm from where a rosebud had pretty much flew at her with vengeance.
"Not late am I?" Neha asked, her tone somewhat polite as she sort of hobbled over towards her siblings. It was hard thinking of them like that but they were; even if they were born of different aspects of their father. She had overheard that Noah had invited one, and possibly some of her Roman companions and inwardly, Neha had groaned. She was fine on the battlefield and fine with her friends/fellow Romans seeing her fail on the field but she really could do without them seeing her fail in heels. "Proserpina had banned someone? b*tch," she couldn't help it slipping out. It was no secret to anyone that Proserpina did not get along with her husband's kids but to hear that she had banned someone was new. "Can she do that?"

Priscilla couldn't believe the nerve of that Graeci son of Pluto summoning her like she were some sort of servant. She could dine where she damn well pleased, and was well prepared to snub him by not attending, until she realized that Centurion Neha Lark was going to be attending. It was extremely unusual for her to consult daughters of Venus for fashion advise, hell Priscilla would have given it for free, "With the utmost respect Centurion, you look like a dog's breakfast," she thought smirking slightly. Perhaps she would go, it may be of some amusement to watch her step-siblings try to gut each other at the dinner table. Mother Proserpina, was right, those bastards of Pluto had no respect for anything but death, but it would prove to be fertile ground to dig up dirt for Mommy dearest.
She smiled as she poured herself into an elegant red and gold evening gown, with red and yellow maple leave pinned up in her hair. She had to admit autumn had some lovely colors to work with. Slipping on a pair of scarlet Prada heels, and touched up her makeup. The daughters of Venus could eat their heart out, Miss Priscilla Daisy Montgomery, knew a thing or two about dressing to impress. She was a Princess after all, Princess of the Underworld, but a Princess none the less, or at least that's how she carried herself. Satisfied that she looked good enough to torment her would be brothers, she glided out of the barracks and headed for the utterly depressing Hades House.
She took the long way, preferring to get a lung full of brisk autumn air, before she had to suffer the dank confines of the simulated Underworld. She nodded curtly to wood nymphs and fauns as they greeted, barely bothering to even not their existence. All in all she was feeling quite pleased with herself, that was until she met someone quite unexpected...a rather familiar ghost from her past.
"Daddy?" She asked in a mild state of shock. The shade, that once was her father simply waved and whisked off to the Staff Lodging. This had to be some cruel joke her step father was playing, and she didn't like it one bit. Mommy dearest, would be hearing about it, just as soon as Priscilla could arrange it. Though a bit shaken, she managed to compose herself and glide into the Hades House completely ignoring the skeleton guards, almost daring them to challenge her, which they didn't to her disappointment.
It wasn't far from the front door to the Common Room, where she assumed someone would properly greet her, as any good host or hostess would. She walked into to Neha's voice ringing out "Proserpina had banned someone? b*tch," Priscilla's face soured like she had just taken a very large bite out of an extremely large and bitter lemon.
"Oh I believe she can, Centurion. Mother is the Queen of the Underworld after all, The Wealthy One's minions must obey her commands." Priscilla's voice came out warm and sweet like honey, throwing down an unspoken challenge to any of those deathly brats to deny her mother's authority.
"I do hope I am not interrupting, shall we say, family time?" her eyes glinted with malice as she took in the three children of the Lord of the Underworld, silently willing vines of ivy to grow out of the floor and form into a leafy throne, on which she perched herself.
"Might I trouble someone for a drink, I am simply famished,"
