Likes: -flirting. A LOT. -hanging out at the beach -making jokes -lazing around and doing nothing -challenges -crazy, unpredictable people -causing trouble
Dislikes: -clingy girls -commitment -people with no sense of humor -chores -working -training -man-haters
Personality: Flirtatious = Too many beautiful girls, so little time. Flirting comes naturally to Cole as breathing. It's a reflex to any living female within a ten-foot radius. He isn't really serious about any of it, though. To him, flirting's all just a game. All for fun. He just likes the challenge of making girls fall for his charms. And charming, Cole really is. Not really the smooth, suave type, he is more of the "Hey baby, you're cute. Wanna go on a date?" type. He can be a bit rude and obnoxious, but he isn't one to beat around the bush. He is also a playboy, never having a serious relationship for once in his life. He gets bored easily, and thinks clingy girls are a nuisance. Once it's over for him, it's over.
Arrogant = Not the polite type, Cole thinks much too highly of himself and can be a bit of an ego-maniac. He makes sarcastic remarks a lot, usually stirring up trouble wherever he goes. Although, he has the goods to back his words up, a lot of people can't tolerate him because of his conceit. Cole doesn't view himself as self-centered, though. Just confident. His trademark is his ever-present smirk, another thing that irritates those around him.
Happy-go-lucky = Cole is very laid back. He loves the finer things, and doesn't think much about problems and anxiety-causing thoughts. He is never serious about life. He takes its punches and just roll with it. Most people would be annoyed at his lax, but it's just him. He takes things at his own pace, never caring much for trivial things such as time, deadlines, and dues. He also laughs a lot and rarely ever gets upset or temperamental.
Lazy = Using almost every excuse known to man, Cole is always one to escape anything that involves manual labor. He loves sleeping and pretty much just waste time on lazing around the place. He hates being disturbed and will snap at anyone who ever dares to bother him in his resting state.
Extremely blunt = Cole is all about honesty. He can be cutting and direct to the point, but you can be sure he never lies. He doesn't care if the truth hurts as long as his message comes across that person. And, sibling or not, he is brutally frank, sparing no one with his biting tongue. Doesn't caring much for emotions, he can come across to those who don't know him well as cold and callous. But that's just who he is, he says it like he sees it.
A bit insane = Cole can be very outrageous, doing crazy things that, oftentimes, would put even his father to shame. He is your regular I-don't-give-a-crap-what-other-people-think kind of guy. He doesn't ask permission or approval from others in doing what he wants, and he does what he pleases, even if sometimes it means crashing and burning. Cole has a Devil-may-care attitude, oftentimes making him extremely stubborn and bullheaded. His personality clashes a lot with other campers, but he shrugs it all off. His intentions aren't malicious nor mean, though. He just is extremely outspoken, saying everything that's on his mind. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. Most can't understand him, however, and would feel insulted by his choice of words.
History: Katherine Pierce is one of New York City's top Wine Connoisseurs. Although not necessarily rich, her family had a lot of connections with the posh society. One day, she was invited to a small wine-tasting gathering for the elites as guest of honor. She met a man there who charmed her with his sweet-talking tongue. She felt flattered with his attention and a bit brazen with his words. Before she knew it, one thing led to another, and she found herself inside an empty closet with him.
After that night, he never bothered to call her back... not that he ever asked for her number, but even the host of that party couldn't even remember who Kat was talking about when she described the guy she had a romp with. It turned out that guy wasn't on the guest list, and the host never figured out how he had gotten past the tight security of that place.
Everything would have been okay, though, had that one night not bear any fruits. But no. The fates are cruel, and pretty soon, Kat found herself alone, confused, and pregnant. She gave birth to a healthy boy and named him Cole, but didn't really mother him. She was awkward with the kid. Cole was always left alone as a child, while his mother was off to work, always finding reasons to not be with him. He grew up lonely and feeling rejected by his own home, so he find comfort away from it, always playing with the kids from across the streets.
When his mom remarried when he was 9 to a Mr. Tanner Pierce, his stepfather adopted him and gave him his new surname. Cole liked Tanner and looked up to him. He was always so knowledgeable and wise about the world, and there were so much things that he taught Cole about. He never seemed to run out of answers.
Until finally, one day, when he was 11, Cole was attacked by a harpy, disguised as a fruit vendor. The child barely managed to escape, but somehow he did. When he asked Tanner for an explanation of what just happened, his stepfather finally ran short of words. Even his mother could not explain it. That night, Cole went to sleep confused and afraid. Dionysus appeared to him in his dream, telling him that he was his real father. When he woke up, Cole's hand was burning. On his right palm, embedded on his skin, was a symbol. it didn't hurt, but he was so surprised that he yelled out loud. His mother and stepfather came into his room running and saw a fat, middle-aged man standing on the far side of the room with a bottle of wine. Katherine stared open-mouthed while Tanner proceeded to haul threats at the newcomer's amused, smiling face. He explained to the couple that he was Dionysus, one of the Olympians, and that Cole had just been claimed and acknowledged as his own son. Kat didn't really believe it at first, thinking that he was joking. The stranger that she had a one-night stand with was debonair and suave, very unlike the man in front of her now.
Dionysus didn't really care though if she believed him or not. He just wanted to inform them of the kid's demigod nature and to warn them of the attacks that might happen from monsters due to Cole's relation to him. He also added that for the kid to survive, he must be brought to a certain Half Blood Academy where other demigods reside. Feeling as if he had done his part, Dionysus shrugged his shoulders and took a huge swig of his bottle and disappear in a smoke, leaving the Pierce family in shock.
The next day, Cole was sent immediately to that school.
Abilities: Like all Dionysus children, Cole has the ability to control the state of the minds and can confuse or sober up somebody. He can make grape and strawberry vines appear and control them to his will. He can also have telepathic communication with panthers, tigers and leopards.
Weaknesses: Cole is lazy and laid-back, and he's always finding excuse to escape chores and responsibilities. He is also overly confident and extremely blunt, which gets him into trouble almost all the time. Probably his greatest weakness is that he is flirty and promiscuous. Not the charming type, he is more of the bad boy, "Are-you-game?" kind of a playboy. His attention span for females are short and brief and he flits like a butterfly from one female to another, because he is one who is easily tempted.
Other Information: Celestial Bronze Staff that can be summoned at will.
Sample post: Cole saw her turn around and crush the stone he had thrown at the back of her head, before hearing her utter those words. He rolled his eyes. Just because they were in one doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have heard of it. Wasn’t the Bible a myth too? His reference to her as Goliath was due to the fact that she thinks herself highly enough to attack on her own, not waiting for any of her comrades. Did she really underestimate the North team that much? Either that or she must be having delusional thoughts of being a hero or some sort. If he could remember correctly, that was Goliath’s downfall too. His arrogance. Maybe if he’s lucky enough, Cora’s/Clara’s weakness is also her pride and stupidity.
Not that Cole compares himself to the young David. He chuckled. Far from it. For one thing, he wasn’t a shepherd boy. And for another, he wasn’t a goody-two-shoes. If his life was a movie, he’d fit the villain role better than the protagonist. Show me a hero and I will write you a tragedy. Cole was much too selfish to be one. His objective here as he stands in front of her wasn’t glory nor honor. He couldn’t really care any less about those. The guy wasn’t trying to be anybody’s champion. He wasn’t trying to put the spotlight on him. Right now, what Cole wanted was just to do his job right and defend their flag. After all, girls and wine will abound later at the victory party when they’d win.
But enough of that future-thinking. He shouldn’t be counting chicks before the eggs are hatched. Putting his game face back on, Cole saw her pull a tree upright and swing it like a baseball bat on the four skeletons. The skeletons were thrown upwards towards the sky, scattered in pieces, as they got hit by the huge trunk.
A small smirk appeared in his features, and he crossed his arms across his chest in a relaxed manner. He wasn’t all too worried. What comes up, must always come down. He counted twenty-five seconds before he heard somewhere in the forest the noise of something falling down on the ground. Cole guessed it was the broken bones. It wouldn’t take too long before they pull themselves together again and run back to their positions here. In a way, those skeletons kind of remind him a bit of those freaky fast and strong soldier mummies in that movie, The Mummy. Except, these skeletons don’t get blown up and can perpetually reassemble themselves. Yes, we can keep doing this all day. At least, he’s not the one spending much energy.
He heard her say something about having a thick skull and he had to agree to that. God, she must be more stupid than I thought. She-Goliath mustn’t have heard of the word “subtlety” ever. Didn’t she know that all the noises she made only drew more attention to herself? His allies would have been alerted now, and if she keeps this up, more of them will come running here. She was shouting, making quite a huge disturbance around the place, and she looking up at the trees. He couldn’t understand why the intruder couldn’t see him although he was only some thirty feet from her, having gone out of his hiding when he had thrown her the stone. Maybe his confusion spell did work. He laughed softly to himself at that. Well, what do you know? Girl’s got a working brain to confuse on, after all.
Dirty work? He had to struggle with himself not to laugh out loud at that. If South’s got themselves power, North got strategy. In the art of war, there is no such thing as dirty work. You do what you have to do and you play with your strengths. True, he wouldn’t probably be able defeat her if they were to come to blows, but there was more to winning than brute force alone. Cole could explain this to her, but had a feeling that it would be a futile attempt. As she had said so herself, she has a thick skull, and he really doesn’t have the patience or the time to enlighten her.
His eyebrows drew together in a line as he tried to observe her for any weakness. She was extremely strong, that can’t be denied, but she was relying too much on her strength and that was her Achilles heel. Take that away, and she’d practically be useless. She was still half-human and therefore, mortal. Cora/Clara wasn’t immune to pain or getting hurt, no matter how strong she might be. Cole snorted. Cavewoman and her club wouldn’t be that much of a threat afterwards.
From the small pouch attached around his waist with a thin rope, he took one of the three muffins that he had stolen from Nerissa earlier at base. It was one of those crazy experiments that his sister had cooked up. At first, he thought that those muffins were something edible, and he had taken one to eat. It was a good thing, though, that Nessy had stopped him before Cole could take a bite. She said that it was one of those bombs that she had created in the form of food. In this case, a sleeping gas muffin bomb. It was impact-activated, meaning it would be triggered when it gets thrown hard at something. Its sleeping gas is potent enough to put a 5,000- kilogram elephant to slumber for 5 hours---More than enough time until CTF ends, he nodded. Nessy had also never forgotten to give him immunity pills, which he took earlier, for the sleeping gas not to take effect on him.
The four skeletons had suddenly materialized, springing out from the ground again, attempting to grasp each of her limbs in a death grip. Though bony, Riven’s minions were quite strong too. Acting quick, and taking his chance, Cole made thick grape vines appear from the ground where they twirled around her legs as the skeletons tried to hold her in place. He knew those vines and skeletons wouldn't probably clutch the girl too long. Moving speedily because he knew that time was of the utmost concern, he tried to ran as fast as he can, reaching behind Cora/Clara’s back and slamming the muffin on the ground where it rapidly hissed as the green gas went off. And almost as fast as he had gotten to that spot, he left, returning back where he had been a few seconds ago. He watched as the cloud of sleeping gas filled the place. It would do no good to hold your breath. The gas will still reach your lungs. Cole knew it would only take a few seconds before the effect will sink in.
He almost felt sorry for her. Almost. He knew Cora/Clara was a nice enough girl, but this was CTF. He was bringing everything he got. She was the invader, and he was only doing his part as a defender. Nothing personal.
