she said staring at her nails as if she’d said something totally normal. ”Please tell me you’ve heard the storm shelter story.” Gwen said as if she was in complete disbelief that no one had heard the story. She knew no one had... she was making this one up and had had it prepped since last summer.... she just never had a chance to use it ”The boat house wasn’t always the boat house, just like the craft hut wasn’t always the craft hut. The boat house used to be the home of Gregory Charles, fisherman and hunter extraordinaire..” she said putting emphasis on his name and the fact that he was a hunter ”Well, Gregory had a wife... Rosalinda, and she was beautiful... and I mean drop dead not even the models on the runways can compare beautiful. And she had married him, out of all the guys... but Rose had her own intentions.” Gwen said, the wicked gleam returning to her eyes
"Touch me and I will stab you, have a nice day"

Personality: What’s the simple way to put it? Psychotic? Yeah, that;’s the word I’m looking for… to an almost dangerous extent. She’s usually been the one of the most powerful, everywhere she’s gone, and she abuses it all the time. Think of the movie mean girls… she’s like that, except much smarter. She completely dominates weak personalities and the spineless usually cower when they hear her coming down the halls. Brains, beauty, and power… but not to mention money. This girl has it all, but she can never have anything she really wants, and it drives her mad. Things always Have to be her way, always have to be perfect, and the answer to her questions must always be “Yes, your majesty”… well minus the majesty but they better be yes! All ways are her way, and if you’re not with her… you are against her, and that makes her a deadly enemy. She has a tendency to go through extreme mood swings, and one point she may be perfectly fine, to being completely angry for no reason. The smallest thing will set her off, and she will bite your head off for the hell of it. But that’s just what people see.
Inside of Gwen lies a very insecure girl who believes everyone is out to get her and if she’s not perfect no one will accept her. The only place she really feels at home is on stage or in her rose garden… her red rose garden. The reason she’s even back at the academy for another year to be a councilor is because her father said it’s good to be “Well rounded” and it looks great on university applications. Little does he know all this girl wants is to be perfect… and to be an actress.
When Gwen’s alone, she feels alone in the most literal of sense. She feels like there’s no one out there who understands her, or who can handle her. She feels like she’s always going to be that b*tch nobody likes. She usually pushes that feeling to the side and ignores it. It’s most prominent on rainy days though... for some odd reason rainy days make her completely depressed. She absolutely hates when it rains outside, and you’ll find her moping it up around her dorm quite a lot whenever it starts. She absolutely loves drama and movies... mostly because she can say whatever the hell she wants in improve and people have to go with it.
When it comes to love, she can be rather fickle... but when she falls, and quite frankly it has happened before (She has a heart), she falls hard. She’s not the girl that’s gonna cheat on other people, but you better make damn sure you stay faithful... or else. She’s rather possessive of her boyfriends, and they always seem meeker in comparison to her. Sure she loves her some jock, but quite frankly she can make them crawl up in a ball and want to cry.
When she gets angry, she explodes, and her temper is rather violent... usually to calm her down out of a rage you just have to compliment her, or say “Anything you want”. She rather likes getting her way... no matter what the cost is. She doesn’t have many friends... and she doesn’t want friends. She wants people who will do what she wants for the popularity.... people who are disposable and who can be replaced by anyone... Oh yeah, she’s a b*tch. There may have been good somewhere in her... but it’s all gone now, hidden and locked away in her heart... do you have the key?
History: Gwen grew up with everything. And I mean everything. From toys to books, to clothes she had it all. Not once did anyone take anything from her. Her nannies bended to her will, her families servants bended to her will, she was like a little queen… and she was an only child. She never knew her mother because her father had divorced her when she was very young. There were rumors that she had a twin sister somewhere in the world but rumors were just rumors and Gwen did nothing to pay attention to them. All her nannies did point one thing out to her father, Gwen had a horrible temper and her tantrums could give anyone a head ache. Her ad told them to suck it up and make her happy. This is where her serious emotion u8nbalance stems from, not to mention the idealism that everyone bends to her will.
As a child, Gwen never knew her mother. She and her father had split when she was young and she was cut off completely from her. She got to witness girlfriend, after girlfriend that her father brought in, and had to deal with nanny after nanny and even the occasional manny! There was never a constant in her life, and her dad was never around. If she was shown any kinds of maternal love it was short-lived when her dad fired her nannies and hired younger and prettier ones. He ran a rather successful business that required him to be gone for long periods of time... and quite frankly he didn’t care much about his daughter, he had originally wanted a son that he never got.
When she was in middle school, she was chubby. She wasn’t fat, but she was chubby… and she was made fun of for it. Her private school was not a fun one. She became extremely insecure and did everything to change these flaws. She even went as far as having surgery done to correct her vision and make it so that she would grow up to be beautiful. When she became “pretty” Everyone seemed to want to be her friend, and she let some people into her circle… but she swiftly stabbed them all in the back. She became the queen bee everywhere she went. Through all of high school she was a mess of drama, mood swings, and power. She had everything, but always wanted more… and whenever something didn’t go her way she’d blame it on someone else and make their lives miserable.
After that, her nannies realized that they had to treat her like a princess if they wanted to avoid temper tantrums. This reinforced Gwen’s idea that she could get absolutely anything she wanted at any time. When she got “pretty” her dad decided he wanted to show her off, so she brought her stylists and made her over and brought her to snooty rich functions. She grew up acting like a pampered princess, and turned into a spoiled rotten queen. There was nothing that was out of bounds for Gwen, and there still nothing that she won’t strive to get, even if it means stepping on a few hands and stabbing a few backs to get it.
Gwen has been coming to the Academy ever since she was seven. Ares had claimed her very early after she had gotten in a fight, and won, in middle school. She does not find it to be anything new to her, or scary. She, quite frankly, is more assertive and a lot less lady like at school. She happens to have appointed herself as the head b*tch of school and makes many cower in terror when she walks through the halls. She’s a super freak, and you better watch out because she’s not above coming after you… even if you think you’re stronger than her.
Abilities: More Aggressive and Martial than others
Power over Weaponry
Extensive weapons/war knowledge
Possible Invincibility
Can strike fear into anyone
Weaknesses: When she falls in love, she falls HARD
There’s a spot behind her knee that if you hit it, even lightly, she’ll fall down faster than a house of cards on a windy day
Her temper, she hates it, it can be hr best friend, but at the same time it's her worst enemy. It seems like controlling it is only going to be a mere fantasy for her... and it scares away the people shoe does want to get to know
She's afraid of thunder and lightening. Yes, I know, a big tough ares girl shouldn't be afraid of some thunder and flashing lights... but it does scare her. She can hide it, but not well. Usually if there's a thunder storm she hides out in her room with her headphones blaring whatever music can cancel out the noise
Other Information: She’s got wit, but she inherited that from her mother. She’s smarter than most and does analyze situations before she runs in head first… but her tempers out of control, so be warned… she’s not above maiming someone
Sample post: Why did Gwen even show up to this stupid thing? She was clearly in the middle of one of her mood swings... and being surrounded by campers and councillors alike was starting to give her a giant, nauseating, headache. Gwen could honestly say she didn’t like a single person here. No camper, no councillor, and director, not staff, and even if she was nice... it was because she wanted something, or she wanted to have someone on her side, or she was using them for a revenge plan. Yes, she had been this bad as a camper, but did she care? Not really. She just watched as the flame flickered and her slow boiling emotions built up. The only thing that made any of this worthwhile was the fact that Colin was the one telling the Gepetto story... he told it the best.
He always scared the crap out of his campers, which Gwen found amusing. Sometimes the story would make her shake... and she always masked it under a nice hard shell, but she honestly loved how it could make her inside tingle. He paused at all the right spots, is tone was excellent... and the story was just plain eary. The gruesomeness was what had Gwen so absorbed. She was good with death, destruction, chaos.... and events that left people shaken and traumatized. Usually she was the one causing it... but she didn’t let anyone know that.
She could feel someone breathing down her next, and her urge to kill was only resisted by the fact that the story was getting really good. She knew the story of Peter Gepetto before, as a matter of fact she had already decided that he would have been extremely hot when he was older... if only he had gotten older that was. She leaned back slightly in her seat and let out a long, unamused, sigh. Some girl had been coughing through the story and that was what had irked Gwen the most. She shot the girl a deadly glare the second she had caught her eye, but then went back to ignoring her.
And then Meg spoke, and it was time for another story. Gwen could feel her anger and rage waver up and down. She didn’t want to be here but she couldn’t stay either. It was the craft hut story. Gwen shifted in her seat, purposely knocking the person next to her out of theirs.... there, now she felt better. She felt herself grin wickedly as Meg continued with her story. Gwen knew this one too... and she loved it, for different reasons. It was just ghastly and enticing all at once.
As Meg finished her story Gwen sighed a happy sigh, not speaking, a girl had already beaten her to the punch. Must have been a Dragon because Gwen didn’t recognize her as one of her own. She only stared at the girl and waited for her to finish talking before she straightened up and smirked. Gwen ahd her own story to tell... and she hoped it would scar a few people for life. ”You should be scared, but for different reasons.”
”Rose casually asked her husband about hunting, about fishing, about all the things he did to provide for them. Unbeknown to Gregory that she only wanted the information for one goal, and one goal alone.” she paused for dramatic effect, her face turning grim ”To kill him.
”You see, Rose wasn’t exactly the most human of beings that walked the earth, she was the spirit of an angry murder victim who was buried somewhere underneath the boat house. Of course Gregory didn’t know that... he also didn’t know he was her killer. Yes dear children, Gregory Charles was a murderer, in cold blood... but he had turned a new leaf, he found a god, or a few, who really knows? And he had cleaned up his act. Rose saw that... but her mangled body cried out for revenge... and she got it.” Gwen said pausing again to look a random camper in the eye
”Rosalinda waited a very long time, her spirit become unrest every day, just putting her plan into motion. Everyday her husband would go fishing at the crack of dawn, and he’d smoke a cigarette, and every time he’d throw it on the bottom of his boat without checking if it was unlit.” the twinkle returned to her eyes. ”And so she waited, and drenched his clothes in gasoline, drenched his boat in gasoline... and the second he lit that match in the morning...” she paused only for half a second ”BOOM!” Gwen cried out as loudly as she could ”The boat went up in flames, and the neighbours surrounding Gregory’s little hut tried to save him... but when they finally brought in the charred remains of the boat... recovered them from the bottom of the lake... Gregory’s remains were never found. Rosalinda had gotten her revenge.” she said solemnly but then she smirked and stared at a rather young camper ”But does it end there? No. When the boat house was finally formed everyone swore they could hear a girl and guy fighting, a girl crying, a guy moaning in agony.” she said, being more dramatic than she had to be. ”And it wasn’t until a few months later, in the Mouse cabin, did a camper find Rosalinda’s remains laying in her bed... she looked away as if trying not to show how much this was affecting her (Which it wasn’t) ”And laying with her... were the charred remained of Gregory Charles, choking her bones to death again.” She said her voice taking a menacing tone
”No camper sleeps in that bed... because if they do, they will either wake up to find hands wrapped around their throat... or wake up to find their own hands around the one they loves throat.” she said becoming extremely quiet, taking on a scared tone ”Believe me... I know.” she said. Gwen believed the quiver in her voice and the tremble of her lip was a nice touch, and she had sold her story perfectly. She wasn’t breaking character until someone said something... she was pulling her punched with this story.
