Jane had only recently been placed at Half Blood Academy, and she wasn’t sure what to think of it. Even more so, where to begin exploring. Her heart told her to go to her library, but some little voice in her head always told her to visit the garden instead. “Jane, let’s go sit in the grass! I’m sure you’ll get to meet another Dem-Titan, and maybe I’ll get to meet another Cheetah!” There was that little voice again, persuasive and nagging. She had been hearing it ever since her mother had claimed her. Galen, a large adolescent young King Cheetah, shadowed her as they walked through the Titan Wing. He had been speaking a lot lately, and Jane was starting to grow irritated with her powers. Talking to animals, eh? It always sounded so fun in the stories. But having to constantly listen to voices in your head? No way, she never asked for this. Mind control on the other hand, that was pretty cool. And after what she had done to those harpies, she wanted to practice more often. Jane slowed to a halt as the neared the Rhea residence. “Galen, do you think you could-” Jane was cut off. “Help you practice you powers? I don’t think so. You think I want you making me beat myself up?” Galen interjected. He swished his tail irritation. “I’m not going to what I did with the harpies!” Jane said defensively. She smiled mischievously as she watched Galen back away nervously under her stare. “I’m merely going to try and make you do errands. You know, getting me Pepsi’s, opening the door for me. Like what those Labradors always do for their disabled owners!” Jane could already sense that Galen’s reply was going to be a no. “You know perfectly well I’m not a Lab, and you aren’t disabled.” “Galen, open the door.” Galen nodded at the command and opened the door. Within a few seconds, Galen had broken out of the trance and was growling at Jane. “What did I tell you?” “Fine, that was the last time, I swear! I just wanted to see if I could do it again.” Galen sighed softly at Jane, who was already laughing happily. Over the last few weeks, they had bonded immensely and were most open to each other. After all, each could read each other’s so there wasn’t much choice. Word Count: 379 Notes: First post! Yay! Open to anyone who would like to say hi

Waking up was always the hardest part about living the hard partying lifestyle, and today was no exception. He had spent the night with Erika, giving her a send off that neither were likely to forget in the near future. She was off to become some kind of soldier for hire or something, and Jesse was staying at the academy, to see what other avenues were open for him.
Now, he found himself laying in an awkward position on a random chair in the Titan Wing common area, clad only in a pair of silky boxers, and the battle scars from the night of wild passion. With a great deal of effort he rolled himself off the chair and onto the floor, in a fervent hope to ease that kinky and knots in his back and neck. The result pops and cracks were almost orgasmic at the sudden relief of the built up tension in his taunt body.
He nearly groaned aloud at the intense pleasure he felt, only stopping himself at the sound of a rather one sided conversation. It was a female voice, of that much he was certain, but who was she talking to? Not that it was all that unusual to hear people holding completely one sided conversations, many of the Academy's inhabitants had pets and other beings that followed them around, all gifts from their divine parents, but this conversation seemed to be a rather entertaining one.
Jesse sat up ignoring the slight twinge in his lower back as he spied a rather attractive young lady convincing a strangely colored cat, a cheetah he presumed, to actually open the door to her residence. "Now that is something," Jesse thought watching the girl's triumphant smile as the cat no doubt chastised her.
"Well done, nicely handled," Jesse commented nonchalantly as he strode toward the door with a relaxed grace. "Must be nice being able to convince land animals to listen to you, all I get any more is a couple of eels that like to knock on my window and b*tch about the temperature of the oceans right now." Jesse smiled his patented lazy grin holding out his hand to shake, "Name's Jesse Monroe, Son of Oceanus, but you can call me anything you like. And you, my dear lovely lady, are?"
Jesse could tell the cat, Galen she called him, was watching him like a hawk, not that Jesse wasn't used to it. Every other person at the Academy had some kind of watch dog when he was around, be it an over protective brother, sister, hellhound, hawk, or even in one case, psychotic pet canary.
"Good to meet you cousin, aren't too many of us around just yet, but the satyrs are bringing in more of us all the time. I've even got a step sister here...strange how the titans tend to be much more accepting of their dalliances with mortals than the gods seem to be." Jesse just shrugged his shoulders leaning up against the door jam, looking for all intents and purposes like an underwear model just waiting for the cameras to go off.
"You know love, if you ever need someone to show you around, or just hang around as a bit of eye candy, my residence is just over there, the door's always open and you are most welcome to drop in, any time,"

Jane didn’t know whether step back into her room, or give in to the cheetah’s persuasions. The garden sounded awfully inviting. But before she could reply, she was already in a conversation with another being, a human being. Somehow, this was a surprise to her.
“I, err-” Jane didn’t know what to say. She didn’t even know how many other Demi-Titans there were. Were they all this gorgeous? She hoped not. If so, she’d look like the biggest babbling idiot in the whole academy.
“Speak, stupid! I’m a better talk than you are!” hissed Galen, as he went from adolescent to fully grown. He didn’t especially mind other people, but he wasn’t greatly fond of them. But when it came to dangerous sea Gods and Titans, he was especially on edge.
Jane ignored the large cat, and instead turned her attention back to Jesse. “I’m Jane Hunters,” she replied, gesturing to the large dark rosewood door to the Rhea Residence. Jane smiled shyly and looked down at Galen, nudging him with her foot. “And this is Galen, the worst gift ever.”
“You aren’t exactly the best master in the world either,” he muttered.
Jane ignored his remark and nodded to the other Demi-Titan. Things were starting to get confusing, for it was extremely hard to have multiple conversation at once. “Daughter of Rhea, at your service. It’s nice to meet you too.” She didn’t know if being a child of Rhea was a good thing or a bad thing. Did people like her or did they hate her? After all, she was wife of Cronus. She never had much interest in the Titans.
As Jane pushed a strand of hair out of her face, she realized how foolish she must have looked. With a distant gaze and an annoying cat in her head, it seemed to Jane absolutely inevitable. She wasn’t going to be this bad with the other academy members, was she?
“How many Demi-Titans are there?” she asked curiously.
Jane tried to block a message coming from Galen, though it was amazing how mentally strong he was. Within seconds, Galen was pawing at her foot, trying to get her attention. “You want to try out your powers? Try and test him! He won’t notice.”

Camille was bored. There was no doubt about it as she prowled around the academy before finally retreating back to the Titan dorms. She twirled a strand of hair between her fingers and she nodded at odd things and people as she passed them. A satyr, a tree, a statue that obviously didn’t move, that one tall half-siren she remembered seeing on campus. She just nodded then she walked on, her feet taking her into the Titan dorms. She exhaled air and walked in, the doors swinging lightly as she gently pushed them open and her hand was back to twirling her hair again.
It was a strange habit she picked up nowadays. She had never needed to or felt the need to twirl her hair between her fingers but she did it quite often now. It was slightly bothersome, as strange as it was. It made Cami feel as if she was a small child with a schoolgirl crush every time she did it. Of course, twirling her hair was a lot better than locking her hands at the small of her back and rocking on her heels every time she saw a boy. That made her feel embarrassed and she supposed looking like she was shy or something was better than looking er…ditzy? Whatever, maybe her thoughts didn’t make sense. Then again, they never did sometimes; it was how her mind worked.
She entered through and tugged her sweater just to adjust it a little bit before she continued in. She stopped for a moment though when she noticed she wasn’t alone. She blinked at the pair in the dorm. A young woman with a cheetah that she never remembered seeing, her and the cheetah, and her boxer clad stepbrother. Cami paused before she finished entering through and she slid gracefully onto the arm of a random chair in the common area.
“Are you speaking ill of me or just counting the number of Titans in the Academy brother?” Cami asked easily, words rolling off her tongue. Cami was in a strange mood today, neither cheerful nor unhappy. Just ehh but her words carried a happy note. The target of her question was her boxer-clad stepbrother, Jesse Monroe, son of Oceanus, her fellow demi-titan. She never really remembered how they first met but they got along pretty well, as far as siblings went. Well, step-siblings and sometimes they seemed a little more like siblings than step-siblings. “If you’re counting heads, there aren’t many of us. I think there are five of us right now,”
Her eyes flickered and she smiled at the other girl. “Camille Lee, daughter of Tethys. I'm this flirt's half sister,”
Cami leaned back a little on the arm and muffled a sound as she toppled back into the seat. She was sure Jesse was going to laugh at her later or something and she let out a short giggle of laughter before letting her legs hang over the side, resting her head and shoulders on the other arm. The small pleasantries of wearing long pants. If anything, you never flashed anyone when you did something stupid. And sometimes, Cami did stupid things. Her father just chalked it up to life and growing up. Her hand went back to twirling her hair again, rolling the smooth strands between her fingers. Words ;; 555 Mood ;; I say I'm Back!! Kaleb wandered through the Academy hall ways for what seemed hours looking for his little brother. How many times had he told Damian that if you don't know your immediate enviroment then dont go walking off alone! Kaleb could already see his brother's sad ashamed face as he looked at him saying "Im sorry Kaleb! I just wanted to see what everything looked like!". Kaleb laughed and shook his head. Even he was beginning to admire the scenery of the Academy.
Finally he gave up his fruitless search and decided to head to what would from then on be his home. He stalked towards the Demi-titan wing. He wasn't sure what he would find. He had done plenty of research over the Titans, but he wasn't sure what their kids would be like. He wondered what they would think of him, the son of Hyperion. He started to flick his Zippo lighter on and off, a habit he did when he got nervous. Finally he came upon the Titan Wing. He walked in to find three people already talking. He couldn't hear what they were saying completely but he did pick up that there were only five Demi-titans. Only that many? Kaleb laughed to himself as he said "I guess the Titans don't have any luck with the opposite sex".
Kaleb finally walked in to where the others could see him. He smiled happily as he said "Hey there! doesn't this just look like a miniature family reunion!". He flicked his lighter a few more times before returning it to his pocket. He smiled again and waved as he said "Kaleb McPhail, son of Hyperion, Nice to meet ya!". Kaleb looked around before saying "you know I like the way they made this place look, I might have gone a different way on the interior decorating, but who am I to judge?".
He smiled at them before plopping himself in a nearby chair that allowed him to look at everything in the room. He popped his neck before saying "If there aren't that many of our kind here, why do we get a whole wing to ourselves? We could probably just have a little cabin. Heck I would be happy with a tent".
Kaleb smiled again as he said "It just looks like alot of money went into this, I bet the gods are just rolling in money, up there on their high horses". He didn't usually talk this much but he was trying to test his boundaries with them for future references.

Jane swiftly turned her head in surprise to see two more Demi-Titans walking forward to meet them. Her pupils dilated from human eyes to cat eyes and back again. Slightly dizzied, she leaned against the wall and looked down at Galen, the large darkly spotted King Cheetah. Even he looked surprised. Either that, or extremely amused. Jane smiled faintly, hoping it was only Galen who had noticed.
Her senses were going on an instant high as the second Demi-Titan sat in his chair. She wasn’t sure whether to relax and act casual or take a few steps back and ditch them. For she was both frightened of fire and water. Of course, there had to be both.
Galen was on edge too, and he wasn’t afraid to show it. He stood defensively beside Jane and flicked his tail back and forth in irritation. Looking from Camille to Kaleb, he narrowed his eyes. Their introductions seemed to send him on edge more and more. “Son of Hyperion? I never liked elemental Demi-Children.” Though the cheetah always seemed perfectly find with Demeter children, who always had an uncanny ability to control the earth.”
Jane smiled politely at Camille. The girl was pretty, though much smaller than she, and had an energetic grace that was quite enlightening. Maybe it was just Jane’s over average tallness, but everyone seemed rather short today. Even Jesse couldn’t compare. Thankfully, Jane was wearing flats, and Kaleb seemed just about the same height as her or even taller.
“I’m Jane, daughter of Rhea,” she replied, her smile warming slightly. She hadn’t the slightest idea who the other Demi-Titan’s parents were. She never really grew an interest in any mythology besides the basic gods. “It’s nice to meet you both.” She looked down at the large cheetah circling around her and smiled in embarrassment. “This is Galen,” she paused, trying to make up an excuse for his behavior. Unfortunately, she had none. “He’s usually not like this...” She nudged him with her foot and waited for him to reply. She crossed her fingers and hoped he would be polite.
"You aren’t getting anything out of me,” he mumbled, though all that was really coming out of his mouth was a faint hiss.
“He says it’s nice to meet you,” she lied, pushing an annoying strand of hair out of her face. It had become her worst enemy, along with Galen’s annoying new attitude towards other demi-children.

Jesse smiled he relaxed lazy smile at the obvious disagreement between the cat and demititan, it was almost funny to watch. Not wanting to make things worse he wisely kept his mouth shut, letting his step-sister and that pyro kid do most of the talking. This was the first time he could remember having this many demititans in one place, and not trying to kill each other. That was a definite plus.
"Well, my guess as to why this wing is so big, is the gods know that their cousins have just as active sexual appetites as they do. And let's face it, the Titans were free for a number of years, which is more than enough time for them to sew their Titan oats. It's reasonable to expect that over the next few years this place will fill up. I'm actually surprised Cami and I don't have more siblings, our parents have been free for thousands of years. But then again they always tended to be more faithful to each other than most," he shrugged his shoulders leaning lazily against the doorway to the Rhea Residence House.
He wasn't really all that awake and sober to add a whole lot to the conversation, but certainly enough to take in the view. Both Jane and Kaleb weren't bad lookers, but then again what did anyone expect from a demi-anything. They were both nervous and chatty, because of their nervousness, which made sense, demititans didn't typically congregate together like this. Most of the time they were born and forgotten, left to be miserable or be eaten by some horrible monster. Of course, none of this was new to Jesse, he's been at the Academy since they first opened it up to demititans. He had gotten used to how the demigods tended to huddle together, seeking safety and comfort in numbers, he supposed the demititans would get that way, eventually...if they lived that long.
Chances were that there wouldn't be that many more demititans in the coming years, considering the Titan's latest defeat against the gods. There might be a few more Oceanus, Tethys, Prometheus and maybe Bob kids, but even then that wasn't certain.
Bored with leaning against the door jam, Jesse made himself at home on the nearest bed relaxing comfortably smiling down at the obviously disgruntled cheetah.
"Not quite as comfy as the hammock back at my place, but not bad. You should come over and try it some time," He commented to no one in particular, relaxing with his hands behind his head.
"I heard rumors that we might get a chance to visit Mount Othrys, or our parents realms over winter break. Could be fun. I know I had fun the last time I was near dad's Palace. Those Oceanids are something else I'll tell you that. They dragged me under while I was surfing around the Reef, and boy did they know how to show a guy a good time. It was only after that that I realized that they are technically my sisters," Jesse shrugged his shoulder smiling at the very good memory he was having.

Cami looked up in surprise when she heard a voice chirp out cheerily above her head, or at least, somewhere above her head. Her brows furrowed as she tried to place the face, which shouldn’t have been hard because there were only so many demi-titans in the academy but she didn’t place him. He cheeks puffed out unconsciously and Cami looked him over.
He was a tall male, probably Jesse’s height, Cami deduced as she watched him move to sit in an empty chair. Cami waved, smiling at him and when he mentioned he was the son of Hyperion, she smiled a little wider. There was another erm…cousin, to add to her list of family members or lack there of. As far as she knew, Cami really only had Jesse as her brother and they weren’t completely related. Mythologically yes, but by blood, not even close. As far as she knew, Hyperion never had spats with her mother or even her stepfather but she didn’t know much about her…titan uncle. Only that he was the titan of light, and nothing more.
She smiled as Jane spoke, introducing herself and Galen. Her brows rose and she ran a hand through her hair, brushing it back before smoothing out her messy bangs. A daughter of Rhea? So…she was on par with the Original 6 Gods or something like that right? Cami shrugged faintly; she didn’t care much for powers between half-bloods. In the end, when it counted most, wouldn’t they still be family? They should stick together at the very least shouldn’t they?
“The Gods had a little bit more of a sex drive I would assume.” Cami said easily, words rolling off her tongue. She waved a hand flippantly at Jesse who had now decided to drop into the nearest bed. “But like Jesse said, the dorm is big on the assumption that there are more of us out there,” Her lips tilted down subconsciously when she heard Kaleb refer to the Demi-Titans as “Their Kind” and it didn’t sit well in her stomach. They may not have been Half-Gods but it didn’t make them less human. She knew he didn’t mean it in a rude or derogatory way but it still didn’t settle well.
She was waiting for the moment that there would be so much tension between the Gods, the Titans and the Mythological creatures and hell would break loose. She hoped that that time was far in the future. Very far in the future.
“I suppose the dorms are alright. I kinda miss my bed back home but it’s passable. It’s a bit more active around here than anywhere else back home and people here can relate to me better than the normal people,” Cami shrugged. Her eyes brightened though when she heard Jesse mention a change to visit their Titan parents. She smiled and her legs kicked a little bit in the air before she swung them over the arm and straightened in the chair. “Are you serious? We might get to visit our parents over break? That would be awesome. I miss mother,” and Cami really did. 16 years of her life and Cami never really saw her mother, the Titaness Tethys, for more than 2 times maximum. Of course, the first time they met, Cami was under the impression she had been trying to drown her. Which was totally not the case in reality. Just an action that brought Cami down towards Tethys faster than waiting for Cami to swim all the way there.

Jacen walked in, dripping wet. He used his towel to wipe his hair down; he'd just come from the sea. His bare chest was a bit cold; the air conditioning was chilling him to the core. Ugh.
It'd been a I am the spawn of Satan swim; he'd found a new variety of deep-sea angler fish he'd never seen before, luring their prey into the murky depths.... Much like the rumors around that guy, some son of Oceanus or something.... apparently, he'd been partying pretty hard and long last night....
A flash of envy burned through him, but he quickly suppressed it. Phthonus, god of envy, was not a good god to call upon. He went off onto a tangent inside his own mind.... Phthonus. How difficult it was to pronounce.... I wonder where it came from, etymologically? Ooh, etymologically... never heard that before.
Jacen shook himself, making it look as if he'd been getting water out of his ears. Focus, that's what his father'd always said.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a group of people as he passed by a hallway. His residence might be warm, thankfully; he didn't use the airco often, especially if he wasn't inside.
This behavior contrasted heavily with what his Titan cousins did; some partied heavily into the night, others got drunk so much, they basically sloshed when they walked.
Wastefulness, greed, and lust were all things he didn't support... at least openly. He hadn't had a proper girlfriend in... wow, it'd been a while!
He shivered; he was getting colder....spank me hard, wait. Jacen stopped walking. Had he seen fire, back in the hall with all of the people? Hmm... that reminded him.
Jacen focused, and the air abruptly grew stuffy. Ergh... concentrating, he made a wind that constantly followed him, but was warm and inviting.... ahhh. He ran back, staggering into the view of the Demititans.
"Hello. I'm Jacen, son of Eurybia."

Jesse was being to really enjoy the comforts of this bed, it was soft, clean and fresh, not that his hammock back in the Oceanus House wasn't, it was just different. He watched the others through droopy eyelid content with the company and comforts of the room, allowing his own thoughts to drift back to his last visit to Oceanus' Palace.
He had only been there once before, back when he was claimed at age 13, this go around he wanted to see what kind of trouble would he would get into if he tried to pay another unannounced visit. Sure his dad and step-mom had been extremely friendly and welcoming last time, but who knew if that would last or not, especially where the Titans were concerned
Fortunately for Jesse he hadn't gotten in trouble at all, rather he seemed to have answered some kind of subliminal summons from, his father. As he arrived at the massive gates, squads of serpent tailed mermen came to attention and parted the gates without question. He swam-strode right into the Palace hall and was mobbed by Oceanids and a few Potamoi, not that Jesse minded the attention in the least. It seems that all of Oceanus' children had been called to the palace for a celebration of some kind or another, Jesse hadn't really paid all that much attention to what was going on, he was a bit reoccupied with the...attentions being paid to him.
Jesse smiled to himself at the memory, those relatives of his certainly knew what they were doing, hell he even picked up a few things. Some thing he had intended to demonstrate to Erika, but now she was off doing whatever it was bloody thirsty warrior princess do for fun.
"Plenty more fish in the Ocean" Jesse thought to himself wryly, as he caught notice of another newcomer to their little gathering.
"Good to meet you Jacen. I'm Jesse, son of Oceanus. Always good to meet another sea dog." he offered with a lazy wave.
"Must be a sea thing, cos that boy has one hell of a body. Straight as an arrow no doubt...pity..." Jesse's thoughts drifting down their familiar perverse path. Control over the seas, a love for sailing and surfing weren't the only things he had inherited from his father, not that he was complaining in the least.
"Come on in make yourself comfortable, I'm sure Jane won't mind. Mind the cat, he's kind of fussy. So what brings you to this merry little get together of Titanic proportions?" he asked stretching a bit and snuggling into the comfortable bed a bit more. this was turning into a pretty good day after all.

Oh. He was.... well, he was in bed, looking a bit sleepy-eyed, tousled, and... well, that was where he stopped his thoughts. As he was awkward incarnate, Jacen blinked, and color rose to his cheeks.
"Hello. I'm Jacen Grey... son of Eurybia. I've never met you before..." Jacen tried to stand straight; first impressions were everything.
He tried to avert his eyes from the semi-asleep demititan a few feet away, and looked at the others.
"So.... you're demititans, too? I didn't know that there were so many... I'd actually assumed there were only a few... Tell me; have you all met your parents?"
Jacen remembered his last meeting with his stepfather; his house being ransacked, his room a mess, and all of his stuff in pieces. Even more, his dad had been missing.
He'd never actually met or talked with his mother, though. His grandfather, sure; he was head of the school. Ugh; Jacen could imagine the possible rivalry between Oceanus and Pontus... ooph. Had Jesse ever clashed with the Oar-wielder in the past? Hmph.
The cat was rubbing against his leg.... Jacen moved down to pet it, but didn't have much hope; most cats, in fact, most animals, hated him, no matter what Jacen tried. Jesse's warning of the feline's disposition gave him even less hope.
Come to think of it... Jesse, more so than anyone else there, was kin; they were both sons of the sea, he more than Jesse. Actually, he was Jesse's uncle! Hmph. Greek family trees were complicated enough without the immortality...
Jacen was briefly reminded of the different.... preferences of almost every male god or Titan in mythology.... His mother, of course, was not... but he wondered if his mother's husband was. This thought made him giggle...
Did any godlings here take after their parents? Mmmm.... he was happy the girls, at least, might like him.... Ha. Who was he kidding! Words: 321 Tagged: anyone

"Yes indeed, demititans one and all. This Jane's place, she's the daughter of Rhea, wouldn't you know? She kindly invited us all in for this little get together. The Cheetah's with Jane, gift from her mother or some such thing. The girl over there sitting rather oddly in that chair is my step-sister Cami, she's the daughter of Tethys. That handsome bloke over there is Kaleb, he's the son of Hyperion. So far it's a rather tame gathering really. Of course that could change at any moment," Jesse answered taking on the role of host, even though it wasn't his house to do so.
Grudgingly, Jesse rolled himself out of Jane's bed stretching again beginning to feel more and more awake. Maybe Pontos wouldn't mind hims doing a bit of surfing along the Sound, then again the grouchy old cuss might get all butt hurt again if his kelp beds were disturbed or something. "Eh, even then it might be worth it,", mentally shrugging to himself letting his mind drift, thinking of plans for the day.
"Actually, I have met my dad a couple of times, he and Tethys have their Palace down under the Great Barrier Reef. I think Cami's met Tethys once or twice, I'm not sure about anyone else. Our parents tend to be bit more accepting of us than the Olympians," he shrugged nonchalantly "Of course there are exceptions. Every family tree has a few rotten branches, and considering how twisted our family tree is I'd say we have quite a few rotten ones,"
Jesse played with his bracelet absentmindedly, starting for feel almost a need to get out on the water and surfer, it was odd. He loved the sport, obviously, but a burning need to be out on the water was something new. Maybe it had something to do with three different sea based demititans being together like this was creating a new sensation.
"So Jacen, being a sea dog yourself, what's your specialty? My own is the manipulation of fresh water, more or less. I do alright in salt water, but give me a nice fresh water lake or river..." Jesse smiled proudly, recognizing that he was being a bit of a braggart, but it didn't bother him one way or another.
"I think I might try to get some surfing in today, you're welcome to join if you'd like,"

Surfing? Come to think of it... maybe that would be fun. Jacen had always preferred actually being in the water, actually swimming, but he was a pretty good surfer, he'd learned. Greece had taught him many things, and the waters of Costa Rica had been perfect to test his skills. It could be fun. Jacen took a morning swim every day already, of course. He loved swimming in pools and fresh water, but, being a grandchild of the sea, and being able to breathe underwater, it was quite simple to swim in the ocean. And years of swim team in four different countries had proved extremely useful later, once he was claimed. "Yeah, Oceanus is a protogenoi of fresh water... so's Tethys," he said, motioning over to the Tethys girl... what was her name? Whatever. He'd ask later. "I like controlling salt water more, personally. Eurybia, though, is a Titaness of air and sea, so moisture in the air works, too." He knew he was bragging, but these powers were the only thing Jacen had left; no father, no books, no house, no family. Oh. Except for Pontos., a lawyer-like part of him thought. But he was a part of it! he stubbornly responded. These inheritances, special gifts from an unseen mother, were the only things keeping him from being... normal. Hmmm... since when was 'normal' bad? Never mind. Jacen briefly distracted himself by wondering why Jesse kept refering to him as a 'sea dog'. "Sure... I know of this great little sandbar, in Pontos' realm, that could be perfect. Its about a mile out, though... how's your swimming? Oh, by the way... how old are you?" This question came out of the blue, and if Jesse was surprised, Jacen was doubly so. I immediately felt stupid; he was the son of fresh water itself.... he could probably breathe underwater! He might be able talk to fish, something Jacen couldn't, or maybe even control them! His swimming would be amazing. Words: 338 Muse: Too many tangents, sorry! Listening to: Waiting, by All-American Rejects

Cami turned her head the moment she heard the dripping of water. For a moment, she just watched as the other teen walked through and she turned back around to see if she missed anything said before she noted a breeze sweep by, warm and comfortable. She sighed softly and looked up as the same teen stagger/stumbled, somewhat awkwardly into view. Cami smiled slightly. He looked kind of like an awkward turtle she met once before. A cute little thing that kind of stumbled all over. And this new Demi-titan reminded her a lot of one. A cute little thing that was awkward and stumbling but it seemed like he was quite cautious of things as well.
Cami decided not to say much, just opting to watch the interaction between her brother and as he called him, the other sea dog. Jacen Gray if she wasn’t mistaken from his double introduction. A son of Eurybia. She couldn’t, for the life of her remember what that particular titian did but she supposed it was alright. She couldn’t keep track of all her titan relatives. That and she didn’t talk to them all much anyways. She got all her news from her mother or other students.
Somewhere in her thoughts, Cami noted idly that Jesse had taken the role of host, even though it was actually Jane’s Rhea residence but considering the semi-silence the others had, it made sense. Jesse had been the only one to talk to him anyways. Cami was too busy trying to sort out thoughts to notice much. She did notice though when Jacen mentioned visiting titan parents and his assumption that there were only a few of their demi-titan brethren. She waited patiently as Jesse answered before chiming in, ”Twice. I’ve met mother only twice and she tried to drown me the first time,” Cami was joking of course. ”There are really only a few of us known if you put it that way. There’s maybe like 5 or 6 of us in the academy right now. I dun’ know if other demi-titans have been found or not,”
Cami smiled when she heard Jesse and Jacen talk about their powers. Her brother was always better in fresh water than herself. Ah! So that was what erm…Auntie? Auntie Eurybia did. There were quite of a lot of water manipulators. In the academy. She noted the way Jacen just motioned to her and she figured that he forgot her name when Jesse mentioned it. She smiled and waved back anyways.
”My specialty is salt water. I can control it better than fresh water, even if mother is a protogenoi of fresh water.” She leaned back against the arm again, her fingers dancing over the sleeves of her shirt and over the back of the chair. After a moment, she realized and remember she didn’t actually make her introduction yet, even if Jesse’s already told him. Best make her own introductions too sometimes.. ”Oh. And I’m Camille. Just call me Cami. You obviously know that Tethys is my mother, from what Jesse’s told you,” Words: 514 Tagged: Whoever else is in the thread Muse: Semi-Existant Listening to: Missing You, F.T Island

Jesse couldn't help but smile to himself watching Jacen's apparent innocence, or maybe it was as simple as him not having had much interaction with other people. He seemed to remember some rumor about Jacen being kidnapped by his Titan step father or something, that would explain it, if it were true. Jesse couldn't help but feel for the boy, no family except for a grumpy old sea god, who was also his headmaster, not exactly an ideal situation.
"Hmmm, maybe I should take him under my wing...of course that wouldn't exactly ingratiate him with his grandfather. But then again he'd be able to live a little..." Jesse muses studying the boy's rather fit body without really thinking much about it, catching himself at the last minute.
"You really need to stop doing that, the boy's uncomfortable enough as it is without you treating him like a piece of meat...right get it out of the gutter Jess, he needs a friend right now, not someone perving over him...then again why couldn't he have both..." his errant thoughts derailed by a simple and innocent enough question.
"My swimming? Hehehe, I was swimming even before I could walk. Drove mum completely mad, with me sneaking out to go swim or surf along the Reef. I used to spend more time in the water than I ever did in school. Of course that was before dad sent me here. I still hit the water as often as I can, but Pontos gets that Oar stuck up his arse if I neglect my school work for too long," he shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly not really bothered by school work or Pontos' rules. "Oh, I'm eight'een, was the first demititan to be sent here. Guess mum gave dad and ear full or something, convincing him to send me here or something. Hell, if I had my way, I'd be down at his Palace right now," he shrugged again finding his former perch leaning against the door jam again.
"I don't see much point to the 'typical' education bit they try to shove down our throats around here. I mean it's not like we'll be able to walk into an office or shop with 'Half-Blood Academy' on our CVs and expect them to take us seriously. As far as I'm concerned, all we need to know is how to fight and perfect using out abilities to fight off monsters and the likes. But that's all thinking too deep for my tastes," he gave a lazy smile looking around the room unsurprised that everyone else had stopped talking.
"Back to the surfing. You're gunna need a board, but I've got you covered there. I've got loads of them back in my house, I'm sure we'll find one that fits you like a glove. I think I know which sandbar you're thinking of, it's a fair spot to start out and let you get your sea legs as it were. Before you know it, we'll get things stirred up and you'll be ridding some killer waves. You haven't lived until you've surfed off of Pontos' face, that's for sure,"

Jacen couldn't help it; he cracked up. Pontos' face? Oar stuck up his arse? There was some serious, humorous conflict here! And you haven't 'lived' in quite a while. Maybe you can have fun. Its normal to have friends, and he needed some."Seems like we're quite a lot alike.. funny, how we haven't met, before today. I've been waling around her for... well, I s'pose its only a few weeks. Feels longer, oddly enough. You're eighteen?! Wow. I'm a year younger, than. Hm." Cami seemed to be enjoying the wind he'd made. Whoops; he hadn't realized that it might affect others... Since he was dry, by now, Jacen debated stopping the breeze. Nah; it was warming the place up. Ha! He was a free airco, now! And why was that Rhea girl being so dang quiet? It was, after all, her house, right? He'd be talking nonstop, but, then again, that's me. Still. It was pretty odd. And the cheetah/cat hanging around was a bit frightening; water creatures were one thing, and birds were another, but big cats scared him. He was fine with admitting his fears. "So... you've all been here for a while?" He was anxious to get to the water, again, but he certainly didn't want to suddenly run off with Jesse, and ditch the other two... he hadn't even met the Rhea girl, and only barely met Cami. Maybe they could invite them to lay on the beach or something.... whatever. Actually, maybe more was not merrier, in this case. Hm. Surfing could be fun; it'd been a while since he'd tried it, and the last time had been in Costa Rica, where the waves were tropical. Here, they wouldn't be, unless Jesse or I made 'em. A sudden urge for competition overtook him; was Jesse stronger? Probably; he didn't control air. Wa he faster? Maybe they could even race, in the water; he wondered how fast Jesse could go, and for how long. A perverted thought swam through his mind, too fast for Jacen to stop it. To distract himself, he returned to the competition thought. "Was he any good in a fight? Jacen had been doing bojutsu for years, but how was Jesse with a sword?" Words: 378 Muse: A bit pervy, sorry. "We are indeed very much alike," Jesse commented with a devilish glint in his eyes and a mischievous smile playing upon his lips. "I'm sure we'll have some real good times together," his mind going down a well traveled road, at least as far as Jesse was concerned.
"I'd love to see how you handle the waves," he added leering at Jacen's trim form without really thinking about it. "It's always a challenge not to use our abilities and taking the fun out of it. The rush you get when you're at the mercy of the waves instead of the other way around is unbelievable." Jesse looked around the room feeling strangely uncomfortable for some reason. Everyone else had gone quiet again, and for once Jesse didn't like it. Sure he was enjoying his chat with Jacen and Cami, but they were all guests in this house...perhaps they had worn out their welcome or something. It wouldn't be the first time Jesse had managed to annoy his hosts, he did have a rather public reputation that polite society often frowned upon.
"Cami, Jacen, why don't we head over to my place, we can get you set up with a board, and I can get changed so we can hit the waves, what do you say?" Of course those weren't the only activities he had in mind to do back at the Oceanus Residence, but he was out of sorts enough that those thoughts barely crossed his mind.
"If anyone else would like, you're more than welcome to drop by my place and get kitted out to hit the waves, I've got plenty of boards and suits for everyone, yes even suits for you girls...don't ask," Jesse offered putting a friendly hand on Jacen's shoulder giving it a gentle squeeze, then heading out the door.
"Good money says he's gunna check out my ass as I walk away," he couldn't help but this, a knowing smile creeping across his face.

Jacen shivered when he squeezed his shoulder, and followed him out. He thought he knew where the Oceanus residence was... oh. Wait. Nope. He'd thought it had been the other way. He thought about what Jesse had said, about being at the mercy of the waves, rather than the other way around. Being at the mercy of his grandfather? Ugh. Sounded perverted, even in his own mind. He looked at Jesse's receding back, trying to catch up. He didn't want to get lost, that was for sure. He couldn't wait to hit the waves, and see if his body remembered surfing. He'd found that his body memory was severely lacking; if he didn't keep in practice, he would quickly become a total klutz. Well, then again, he was a klutz anyway. After the few odd thoughts he'd had, which Jesse seemed to have picked up on abnormally quickly, he needed to think. Jesse, however, seemed to be hell-bent on not letting him think more than one thought at a time. Okay, he told himself, taking a deep breath, you like girls . I know you do; you've had a girlfriend. Years ago. But, still. So why did Jesse affect him the way he did? Ugh. He was becoming more Greek than he thought. He was beginning to recognize the hallways, corridors, and anterooms of the residence. For instance, if he went that way... oh. Wait. Wrong again. He was lucky to have Jesse leading him to his house... ugh. Another perverted thought. Seemed to be the only thing he could think, these days. The silence was becoming oppressive. Catching up to Jesse, he tried to find a conversation point. All that happened, really, was that he walked with him for a few steps, a thoughtful expression on his face. Super Awkward Man strikes again, he thought wryly. "So... besides Cami, that Rhea girl, you, and I, are there any more like us still around?" Words:337 Muse: Somewhere between constant pervy thoughts, and looking for direction... not much to work with, sadly.... Notes: I just realized that half of my last post is in first person... sorry!
