This was becoming a regular thing, Noah all alone in the Hades Residence sitting in his throne like chair brooding. His face near permanently sculpted into a glowering scowl, much like his father's. Noah's outing with Persephone and Demeter had been as torturous as anything he and his father could come up with. For starters, he had been forced into shopping with a mother and daughter, who also happened to be clingy, cheeryish, down right annoying goddesses, otherwise known as torment number one. On top of that, one of them was his step mother, with the other was both his aunt and step grandmother, both set on changing everything about him until he was just another Mary Sunshine, full of giggles and rainbows. Noah's glower deepened, he may be gay, but a one man pride parade he was not. And to further torment him, they knew and exploited his one true weakness. Lewis. Rather, Noah's affection for the boy.
Noah's finger dug deeply into the shadows made solid, he hated showing any form of weakness, the fact that Persephone knew this just made it worse. She had already proved that she could get to, and punish Lewis any time she pleased, if Noah didn't play her little game and cooperate. He stood up, kicking his chair into the wall, only to have it reform moments later from the shadows which filled the Residence.
What was it about Lewis that he cared about so much? The boy was definitely a bit crazy, but there was such a trusting innocence about him. Added to the fact that it wasn't in Lewis' make up to ever hurt Noah, which was a rarity in itself. It was strange, Noah had no fear of anything, not even death when it came to himself. But when it came to Lewis...well it didn't bear thinking. The boy had already had himself turned into a potted daisy because Noah. If he hadn't encouraged Lewis to put Reindeer sh*t in Persephone's room, then the poor boy wouldn't have become a daisy, and then Noah wouldn't have had to bargain with Persephone and go through that hell of shopping together...
He threw himself down on his bed staring up at the gloomy ceiling debating the situation. How could he protect Lewis, when in fact Lewis was Noah's greatest weakness...he threw his pillow across the room hating this whole situation, it had been nothing like this with Xander back at camp. He was completely unprepared to know what to do.
"Noah you idiot, there is a very simple solution. If you have a weak spot in your armor, you guard it when your strengths...in this case...you've got to allow yourself to be close to him..." Noah voiced his thoughts aloud, not much caring for the conclusions he was drawing, but seeing little else that could be done. He cared too much for the boy, there was no getting around that.
"Ok dumbass get yourself cleaned up and go see him, maybe that'll help clear your head or something. You do know, Noah, that talking to yourself is one of the first signs of madness, no wonder you like Lewis, you're both bat sh*t crazy," Noah muttered to himself as he rolled back out of his bed stalking over to the closet without thinking about it. "Look at yourself, you're getting changed to impress a guy who could careless what you're wearing and is probably wearing some flowered dress or something right now...face it boy you're smitten." Noah frown at his reflection noticing he had pulled on a dark purple button up shirt without even realizing it, and purple was never his color.
"Gods, there I go again...I swear Prissy put a spell on me or something, I would never anything like this, except for him..." His frown grew darker and pulled on his usual black duster over top shaking his head and muttering to himself, ready to deck any of his siblings in the face if they were to make any comments about it.
Noah stepped outside the Hades Residence whistling sharply, causing a hellhound to appear. "I suppose if I'm going to go through with this, I'd better have something to keep that psycho of a brother of his, occupied, come on mutt," he made his way through the Olympian wing to the Dionysus residence, which most resembled a kind of fraternity house, with empty bottles scattered across the yard, grape vines crawling up the walls like Ivy, a stuffed Leopard's head glaring at Noah from his place above the Residence door.
Reluctantly, he knocked on the door, half hoping that no one was in, but Noah was never that lucky. A boy's face appeared upside down hanging from the rafters just inside the House.
"Eggbert says, Whatcher want Creepy pants?" It was Maxi, Noah's least favorite of all of Lewis' siblings.
"Hello Maxi. Is Lewis here?"
"Eggbert can't remember...what's that?" Maxi shrieked his eyes the size of saucers as he caught glimpse of the hellhound.
"That's a hellhound...a big doggy. You can play with him if you like, he won't bite...much,"
"BIG FLUFFY DOGGYNESS," Maxi dropped down from the rafters bolting headlong into the hellhound, who looked like he was terrified of the stuffed rabbit wielding maniac headed his direction. With no effort at all, Maxi vaulted onto the back of the beast and began riding him around the yard like a horse. Noah just shook his head, at least the hellhound would buy him a little bit of time without that kid annoying the piss out of him. He stepped inside the house cautiously. If it were possible, the place looked even more like a fraternity house on the inside, than it did one outside. It had the feel of a place where the party never stopped, it just slowed down from time to time. Now to find Lewis.
