It had finally happened! Felix had managed to convince his uncle to send him to Half Blood Academy. This was no small feat considering that his uncle Harold had been pretty stubborn over the years about him spending some time in the mortal world. Going to Camp Half Blood was fine since that was only for the summer. His uncle had thought that that was enough time for him to brush up on his skills and learn to control his powers. Enough time for him to lean about his heritage. What his uncle hadn't wanted was for Felix to get so involved in the godly side parentage that he forget that he was half mortal too. Felix had always thought that this was a rather baseless fear. How could he forget about pizza and junk food? Or about television and video games? Or about how peaceful it was to just sit at home and not be bothered by the monsters? He had really, really wanted to attend Half Blood Academy since he had found out about it and the summer before his senior year Felix had left camp early so he could really have a heart to heart talk with his uncle.
And now here he was. With success in his pocket and excitement written all over his features, Felix wandered campus grounds. He hadn't been able to attend the Welcoming Ceremony, but that was fine. Felix had heard that nothing interesting had happened and he could always get to know all those other students later. Besides, there was one person that he had wanted to surprise and he couldn't have done that if Nicky had spotted him stuffing his face. Thoughts of Nicky brought a little smile to Felix's face. He had grown close to the boy during the course of last Summer and when Felix had left Camp Half Blood for home, it had seemed to him that whatever it was that they had shared could grow into something more. But on the other hand, it wasn't something that Felix wanted to rush. He was always the type to push headlong into a relationship and then have it blow up in his face. Nicky was special though, he didn't want his friendship with the boy to suffer just because he couldn't be patient.
So as soon as he was settled, Felix decided to explore. He made it a point to stay away from the Apollo residence thought little by little the beauty of the academy's campus drew him in. He had heard that Persephone herself was the groundskeeper here and that would explain why the flowers looked extra perky and refreshed. In the end he was drawn to the boating lake and Felix looking out at the various students currently at play in the water, he decided that he was going to like spending his senior year here at the Academy.

Last night at the Club had been AMAZING the place was jumping from sunset to damn near sunup, and Nicky was flat out exhausted. He had been DJing the whole time, played and sang a few times as well, the whole experience had been mind blowing. But just now, Nicky felt a little more like death warmed over, than an energetic 14 year old. He rolled out of bed, knowing no matter how hard he tried, or how much he wanted to, he wouldn't be able to get back to sleep. He stumbled sleepily to the restroom to take care of business and wash his face to help stimulate his brain back into wakefulness. He looked himself over through weary eyes noticing how his clothes were just a bit tighter and shorter than he remembered them being when he first brought them with him to camp. He must have grown and filled out quite a bit more than he had thought, then again he hadn't had a whole lot of time to think about it over the summer. So many crazy things happened so fast.
He wasn't even sure why he noticed it now, maybe he just felt taller and maybe if he were a bit vain, stronger than he had been those few short months ago. He gave the man in the mirror a weak smile deciding he's take a quick shower after all. Stripping down and jumping in the steamy shower and back out all clean and refreshed in record time. He tied a towel around he waist padding out to his dresser, grabbing some comfortable clothes and pulling them on. He hung up his towel, picked up his clothes and tossed them in the laundry basket. Satisfied the place was clean enough his sisters wouldn't complain he took one more quick look in the mirror checking out his hair. It was getting a bit longer than he liked, he made a mental note to find out if there was a barber on campus, or if he'd have to con Keller into giving him a lift into town.
He headed back over to his bed, grabbing his aviator sunglasses and heading out the door. Fortunately he didn't have any classes to worry about today, but he knew he shouldn't make a habit of goofing off too much on these days, he'd have to use them for studying and practicing, but that would have to wait until his next free day. He spied Orion out and about, remembering he wanted to discuss getting some more help for the club, sooner rather than later. After all a 14 year old boy needed more that 3-4 hours of sleep a night. But decided that too could wait, he just wanted some time to chill out and start to get the feel of home again.
Nicky wandered around in almost a daze just utterly relaxed viewing the world around him through half closed eyes lost in thought, being interrupted only by a familiar scent on the breeze. He looked around alertly, suspecting one of those irritating Aphrodite kids was up to their stupid love magic tricks again, but was pleasantly surprised to find he was wrong. Felix was here, he was actually here. Without a second thought he ran over to the older boy grabbing him in a bone crushing hug from behind.
"What are you doing here? I thought you were with your uncle for the school year. Not that I'm complaining," Nicky jabbered as he reached up and kissed Felix on the cheek. "It's really good to see you," he said quietly unable to bring himself to break off his grip on Felix and let the boy breathe. Nicky's eyes drank him in with a guilty satisfaction, thrilled that he would get a chance to spend more time with Felix after all.

As he continued to look out over the boating lake, Felix realized that there was something odd with the group of students who were playing in the water not too far away from him. Having gone to Camp Half Blood since he was twelve, not a lot of things struck Felix as odd anymore but this was something entirely different. At least demi gods looked human no matter who their parents were...but these kids, Felix could have sworn that one of them looked as if he had scales instead of skin from the way the sunlight refracted oddly off him. And did that other kid have feathers for hair? Felix had heard that the Academy was populated by half monsters but he hadn't expected them to take after their parents in looks as well. There were one or two half monsters at Camp Half Blood but they had mostly kept to themselves. The more Felix stared the more he seemed to realize that maybe those half monsters at camp had some sort of special features too, but they hid it because it made them stand out too much. But now that there were more of them at the Academy they felt comfortable enough to come out of hiding...That fact was certainly a heart warming one though the feeling quickly melted when one of the kids caught him staring and gave Felix a dirty look for it. Hmm...maybe they weren't as comfortable or well adjusted as he had initially thought. Felix gave the half monster kid a smile and a weak wave as if to apologize for his staring but couldn't do anything more as he was attacked from behind.
Felix knew enough about hand to hand combat though, to realize that this wasn't a malicious attack at all. So the hug made it a little hard for him to inhale but all was forgiven when he realized that it was Nicky's arms doing the squeezing. He could feel the other boy's breath fan against his skin just before Nicky planted a kiss on his cheek. The contact made Felix smile. It also made him reach around and back with both his hands so that he could squeeze Nicky a little more into him.
"I've finally talked my uncle into sending me to the Academy for my senior year." There was no mistaking the soft purr of pleasure in Felix's voice and when it smiled you could see the self satisfaction in it. "You know how it is with him and his policy about me spending some time in the mortal world so that I don't loose track of things. But when I heard that you were transferring here it was more of a reason to pressure him into letting me transfer. His hand rubbed little circles on the small of the other boy's back as he continued to speak. "But the Academy looks mind blowing. I've heard stories about it but I never expected it to be like...this." Shaking his head in amusement, Felix let his voice drop so that only Nicky could hear him. "Are those kids half monsters? How cool is that? You'd never see them walking around so freely at camp." And then because he was Felix and had problems with being patient and Nicky was Nicky and just too damn cute, Felix let something more intimate slip into his voice. "So are you just going to keep hugging me? Or does this mean you want a piggy back ride hmmm?"

Nicky's insides started doing somersaults listening to Felix speak, "He came here to be with me?" Nicky thought, his face lighting up like a Christmas Tree. He could feel the bounding puppy like energy building up inside wanting to run as fast and far as he could yelling "He came here to be with ME,"
"The Academy is fantastic, it's like a whole polis unto itself, it's like stepping back in time, I love it. Oh and guess what, Orion has a Club here and he made me one of his House DJs. Dude it was so freaking amazing. I didn't think I could do it at first, but then as the night went on, I rocked the hell out of that club," Nicky babbled away his 14 year old enthusiasm coming out in floods. He did a quick look around smiling mischievously. "You know...I can get you some kick ass seats to some of his shows, free food and drinks too," a little boyish giggle snuck out of his lips just so excited to have Felix with him.
Nicky couldn't help but feel a bit of hero worship for the older boy. He did risk his life to get Nicky to Olympus to confront his father, never leaving Nicky's side when they very easily could have been blasted to dust, and now Felix was at the Academy to be with him, it made Nicky's heart swell.
He grinned at Felix as he whispered how cool it was to have half monsters at the Academy. "I know it. Some of them are the coolest people you would ever meet, others...well ya know, there are always those other people who hate everyone and everything, but they don't cause too much trouble. But that's not the half of it. There are real live gods and titans here, some who are older than even than the big three. The staff Titan, Bob, is funny as hell. He's always threatening to eat us, or feed us to his wife Bob. How crazy is that?" Nicky was sure he was jabbering Felix's ear right off, but he couldn't help himself, and the offer of a piggy back right was far too sweet to pass up. He quickly crawled up on Felix's back hugging him tightly around the neck, his legs wrapped around Felix' waist.
"I'm so glad you're here," Nicky whispered lightly in Felix's ear, stealing a quick kiss on his cheek, grinning and saying, "So I can do this..." Nicky reached down and started tickling Felix's sides mercilessly, giggling like a madman as they twisted and turned in their tickle war. Their antics knocking them off balance pulling them to the soft ground under a shade tree, half on top of each other.
"Hehehehe Truce already truce hehehehe," Nicky giggled squirming closer to Felix, giving him big puppy dog eyes. Blushing like crazy he stole an innocent kiss giggling almost drunkenly as he cuddled in close. "You know what? I think this is going to be an awesome school year, probably the best ever,"
